Breaking Exclusive News
Wicomico County Sheriffs Department Chief Gary Baker and Sheriff Mike Lewis were driving down Mt. Hermon Road after their second meeting of the evening when a Pontiac Grand Am pulled out Carey Road in front of them and Chief Baker had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the vehicle.
Chief Baker turned on his lights and pulled over 18 year old Chelsea Truitt. Chelsea was asked for her Drivers License and Registration, she opened her Glove Box and an ounce of marijuana fell out of the Compartment.
When Sheriff Lewis went to retrieve the marijuana, the driver Chelsea Truitt attempted to start swallowing a bunch of pills whereas they had to actually grab her by the neck to stop her from swallowing the pills and overdosing.
Chelsea has been arrested and is currently in Custody of the WCDC. This is what we call PRO ACTIVE POLICING FOLKS!
Not to diminish the arrest that was made but pro-active policing isn't exactly slamming on the breaks to avoid an accident and then pulling someone over.
ReplyDeleteThis arrest is akin to a blind squirrel. Even they find a nut every now and then.
Pro active???
ReplyDeleteGet a clue man. Its called being in the right place at the right time.
Dude are you sleeping w/ lewis and baker?
Ah,
ReplyDeletePerhaps you're correct. However, IF you happened to speak to Mike as often as I do and you came to learn just how many tickets he has personally goiven out since he took the job a year ago, (I believe over 100) then you'd come to realize that he IS a pro active Police Officer. You might understand that pro active also includes saving the life of this young lady by quickly responding and stopping her from swallowing all those pills?
It was fortunate no one at all was hurt this evening and the end result is MORE drugs off the streets and perhaps a young lady's life will turn around before it gets any worse.
Joeseph...we're seeing some growth here from you. That was at least a partial "perhaps I'm wrong".
ReplyDeleteNot exactly pro-active on Mike's part but good policing never the less. More drugs off the street and one less (two if you count Frank White)impaired driver off the roads of Wicomico County.
Touche
ReplyDeleteI hate to say this.....but what a DUMBASS!!!If you have an ounce of weed and a bunch of pills in your glovebox,or anywhere in your car,you DO NOT pull out in front of a marked police car and cut them off!Heeeres your sign....
ReplyDeleteThey weren't in a marked vehicle, so you know.
ReplyDeletebluto,
ReplyDeleteIt appears that the young lady was stoned when this section of the class entitled WHAT NOT TO DO WITH DRUGS IN YOUR CAR was covered.
Still, she should have been driving like a little old lady.It never fails to amaze me how many people get caught with illegal drugs, guns, etc because they drive like idiots and draw attention to themselves....Why not just knock out a headlight too,and be sure to get stopped?Had she not been f*cked up on something, she would have noticed an unmarked car-most of us can spot'em right away which is why we fumble to get our seatbelts on to avoid a $25 fine LOL
ReplyDeleteI hate to keep going on about this but let me assure you, you're NOT going to know Mike Lewis is in ANY unmarked vehicle. He has a tricked out solid black Dodge Dorango. Even in the day time you can't tell but let me assure you, once those lights in the grill go on, YOU'RE SNAGGED!
ReplyDeleteYou got me there ...a Durango cant be confused with a Crown Vic,then again no worries cuz I dont run dope LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for heads up. I don't run dope either but I do occasionally forget to put my seat belt on and sometimes I break the speedlimit. God I feel better now that I've been able to open up and get that off my chest.
ReplyDeleteNow that's some funny sh*t! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. It's been a LONG day!
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way. Chiefy Gary Baker is behind the wheel of the vehicle shown in the picture in this post.

I think so.
Let me just ask you something? (I'll just name you, Antwan)
ReplyDeleteAntwan,
When is the last time you EVER heard of Chiefy Webster pulling someone over and giving them a ticket, let alone arest someone for DRUGS?
ENOUGH SAID!
WHAT IS THAT "EXTRA" SIGN ON THE LEFT REAR DOOR OF THE MARKED SHERIFF'S CAR---I HAD NOT SEEN THAT BEFORE???
ReplyDeleteIt says, Sheriff Mike Lewis.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the purpose of that?
ReplyDeleteDO ALL THE CARS HAVE THESE SIGNS OR JUST THE ONE HE IS RIDING IN AT THE TIME??
ReplyDeleteGood Lord,
ReplyDeleteIt was a Christmas Day Parade and a magnetic sign was placed on the vehicle to let everyone know Mike Lewis was the new Sheriff.
Let it go, will ya?
