The Salisbury Plaza, "The Best Place In Town To Take A Leak."

Our friend "Duffy" was laying down calcium to melt all the ice created by this leak in one of the fountains yesterday. Being very observant, Duffy noticed water around the base of this fountain while driving past it. He called in for additional help because he couldn't figure out how to turn off the water valve, (not his area).

After pulling away however, I realized there was a plastic bag covering the drain pipe and I simply removed it and the fountain drained back to normal and things were once again back to normal.

HOWEVER! What I did realize based on this occurring is that these fountains are set up JUST LIKE THE SALISBURY ZOO'S!

You the taxpayers and property owners are in FACT paying for water to run 24/7 into these ponds! That's right folks, the water comes in and it instantly drains right into the sewer lines and is COMPLETELY WASTED 24/7!

Since these guys are out there every day of the week, it's not like they can't open a drain and fill these ponds up, should they drop slightly in one day. Instead, they've made them maintenance free by filling them up and draining the water right out.

This has got to be one of the biggest waste's of water, no different from every pool, (and there's lots of them) in the Salisbury Zoo! Each and every one of you are paying for this waste and the City couldn't care less.

I can't wait to see a new Council!

  1. Caterina Maria, That poor pathetic object in the pool of water is the artist's interpretation of Salisbury's Ship of State. When I observe it, I see the prow of noble vessel sinking beneath the waters. Inspiring isn't it?

  2. We were looking at that hunk of sh*t today thinking, that does not belong there!

Who's idea was that anyway? Perhaps I'll have to look at the plaque one of these days and read it.

Nevertheless, move it, put a stage there and get some Creole music going on down there on the weekends.

When we walked it several times today there was literally nobody down there. Once in a while you'd see someone walking to their vehicle but no one was hanging out.

IMO, another area the Mayor would love to see flop and property values drop way down so the FOB's can buy it up for a song and a dance and do what we should be doing right now. Let's get a bit of New Orleans kind of spirit going on down there.

  3. Perhaps you haven't been to Pittsville and seen the "Station 7" Restaurant? I believe some revitalizing is happening right under your nose. Let's also not forget all those critics that said I was lying and it would never happen! These things take time when they're done right.

As for the Plaza, I see a very bright future for the Plaza in Downtown. I have invested there because I believe it's going to happen over the next few years and once again I will be a part of it.

You seem to have forgotten I also offered $30,000.00 above the asking price for the old Union Station in another bad part of the City and because of my offer the owners were able to raise additional funds and they are currently renovating that location for a restaurant as well.

I have been looking and making offers on buildings all over the Salisbury area, which is more than anyone can say about you. I have also been walking day and night throughout the entire Downtown area keeping my eyes and ears open for anyone vandalizing "anything" down there. Again, more than anyone can say about you.

The City still has graffiti on their properties while "everyone" has removed all the graffiti off of theirs. This Blog Site was the only source of news that informed everyone of the problem and I was personally involved in making sure it was "all" removed.

So bitch all you want, it will now fall upon deaf ears and your credibility will now be zero to everyone reading these comments.
