What A Difference 4 Days Can Make!
Four Days in today's society can make or break you any more! Gas prices have jumped at least 7 cents a gallon and even Sam's Club is trying to make up for their losses at the pumps because they expected a much higher rate of their customers to purchase all of their gas there. Yep, elections are clearly over and Bush could give a shit what American's think of his lack of control over this issue. We should have Tee Shirts made up that simply say, "My Name Is George Bush And I Simply Don't Give A Shit."
Chavez doesn't care about the US anymore since he inked that deal with China. Which of course puts him head to head with Russia oil interests, which I can't see him winning because his crude costs more to refine. Chavez considers the US market a surplus market. We used to get about 20% of our oil from Venezuala, but ever since the 01 coup against him which he blamed on the US, he has been selling to the US less and less, selling his ares to others. Plus there is the whole charity plate he is serving up Cuba for Cuba spys, which is a whole nother matter. Did you hear about this crazy "I am mad at Chavez" reaction? Thats nutz. Read through the comments on that article.
ReplyDeleteYes, high gas prices are all Bush's fault.
ReplyDeletePuhlease...
The President of the United States has as much control over the price of gasoline as Mayor Headlights Tilghman.
What you are seeing is a production squeeze. If you'd change from watching Scorchy Tawes to the Weather Channel, you'd notice that this evening, the western 2/3 of the United States is getting its ass kicked with a serious arctic blast of "shiver me timbers" cold air-- a front and storm that were forecast almost 10 days ago, at which time, oil futures started to climb, as refineries shifted their immediate refining mix down to #2 fuel oil to rush oil out to the plain states and Rocky Mountains.
If you watched the corn futures on Chicago Board of Trade, you would noticed they FELL, as the anticipated demand for grain-fed ethanol was expected to decline as the gas supply tightened.
Remember folks-- the energy market is ELASTIC... as supply shrinks, and demand increases, prices RISE.
Well Gunpowder,
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know OUR President has no powers or comtrol over something as simple as gasoline prices. It's no wonder we're at War and losing Soldiers in Iraq. Who's in charge anyway?
Caterina,
ReplyDeleteThat would be low beams verses high beams. They're supposed to aim at the pavement! LMAO
