Although they'll only run this add once, I've been on the lookout for it for weeks and it popped up in yesterdays Daily Times. No heads up by the Times either, mind you. In my opinion, this ad should be run for several days and the fact that it's not, (unless I'm wrong) clearly shows the City is doing everything it can to keep this under the table as best as possible.
However, this Blog Site is slammed daily with hits and it's growing each and every day. The horses are up for auction Folks and you must act quickly if you have any interest in them. Click on the image and it will enlarge it enough for you to be able to read it clearly.
To Mr. & Mrs. Hearne,
Thank You so very much for all the unconditional love, concern and financial support over so many years that these horses have received from you and gifted to the Salisbury Police Department. Coming from two serious animal lovers, (Jennifer and I) we hope this means something to you as we'll enjoy trying to live up to your standards. If only the Former Chief were still alive, things would be quite different!
The horses shouldn't be auctioned off at all. You don't auction off K-9 Dogs when they retire them. They offer them to their trainer/handler, NO CHARGE!
ReplyDeleteThese horses should be going to their Handlers and or the Hearne Family, NO CHARGE.
Look, there's no question Jennifer and I would love to care for these horses but everyone knows this is all about keeping Jennifer and Joe Albero from coming close to getting them. Money doesn't matter, it's their living conditions. Soon they'll be claiming residents of Delaware don't qualify! Even though I'm right on the line.
The Blog Sites have damaged Barrie Tilghman like there's no tomorrow and she's earned every bit of the criticism. She covered up everything in the Daily Times long enough and now she's getting what she deserves, along with many others.
The horses will be fine. I'll just board up my windows and open shop someday when she's no longer in Office.
Yes noname, the Hearne Family not only stated they wanted the horses, they almost begged to be a part of the group that will evaluate where these horses go in the future and I stood there personally and watched Chief Webster turn down Bill Hearne at least 4 times, seriously. IMO, Barrie Tilghman is a very sick woman and there's very good reasons why she's shutting down this patrol.
ReplyDeleteLet me also make this very clear to everyone. Over all the years this patrol has been around, Bill Hearne raised all the money necessary to feed and house these horses up until the past year when the Mayor started ticking the man off on purpose and the City had to start paying the tab for caring for the animals.
Judy Hearne offered to help pay for the horses once again but the mayor got what she wanted and that was an expense bill to make it look like these horses cost the City far too much money, ($10,000.00 a year) to feed and be taken care of.
Bill & Judy raised the money for "everything" these horses needed. Trucks, trailers, saddles, you name it! They'll get a Plaque from the Mayor one day for all their help. What rhymes with Witch? That's right, trailer hitch! Dee, Dee, Deeee!
Anyhow, the Hearne's would have continued to help these horses but they were getting old and needed to be retired and they simply figured the City would turn the responsibility over to them for the care and future of these horses. Out of spite, Barrie Tilghman has screwed the Hearne Family on purpose because she HATES those horses because they remind her of one of the finest men that was ever a part of this City and she'll do anything to get rid of them.
Another well done job once again Barrie Tilghman, Mayor of Salisbury!
Although I can appreciate where you're coming from noname, that simply is not possible. The horses belong to the City, even though the Hearne's raised the funds to purchase them. The horses are property of the City and because the Council in fact created them recently into "surplus items," they are now considered dump trucks, trash cans and whatever surplus item you can imagine.
ReplyDeleteThe City Council screwed the horses and they knew exactly what they were doing, all in spite. The Chief of Police tried keeping this under the radar the whole time along with the Mayor so there wouldn't be any resistance publicly and the Chief was PISSED, demanding I tell him what Officers gave me the information I had on the horses and I threw it right back in his face and said, NEVER!
So here we are with very little hope but with the right kind of promotion on what's going on, hopefully the right kind of people step up to the plate and give these guys a wonderful retirement home.
My final suggestion to you noname is, start attending these meetings and being a part of the solutions around Salisbury. I personally thank you for all your interest and I hope you work together with others to make a positive difference starting with recognizing just how spiteful the Council, the Mayor and Chief Webster are.
That's why I like you so much Kid, keep up the good work and make us all proud.
ReplyDeleteNoName, the City Council meetin's are the second and fourth Monday nights at 6 p.m. So if'n ya got a normal workday, ya can attend at the govt. buildin' downtown.
ReplyDeleteOr ya can tune int'PAC14 at 6 p.m. those nights and watch it live on the tube. They even rerun it on Wed. morns and the next Monday night.
It's been real excitin' t'watch and ya'll just be amazed at some o'the stuff ya see go on. Ya'll be shakin' yer head a lot.

Sealed bids? Will the results of the auction be made public? Do you have to bid on all THREE or can you only bid on ONE? I hope these beautiful animals go to a good and loving home!
ReplyDeletethe ONLY thing the hearnes did was hold a place for the horses and care for them . . . someone obviously doesn't know much about horses!
ReplyDeletenoname,
ReplyDeleteYou're out of line and pushing my buttons. If there's "anyone" who knows about the horses it would be me. You're a very young man that would believe most innocent looking people and I know the Hearne's personally and trust their word on "any" matter.
If you'd like to get that person together, (notice how there's no name to this person) and have them meet up with Bill Hearne and myself, bring it on. I'm sure there were some bills along the way with these horses but the majority of funding was raised by the Hearne's UP UNTIL THE LAST YEAR OR SO. The Mayor ticked off the Hearne's to a point they wanted her to see and feel just how much they were doing for these horses and believe me, the City felt the punch once they lost the Hearne's support.
I do NOT post articles made up so be careful who you challenge. I'm keeping my eye out on you.
