The Night Of The Living Zoo

BOO!

Don't forget to bring your children out tonight to the Salisbury Zoo for their annual Halloween event. This is the final night for the event.

Last night there were groups of teenagers just hanging out just outside the entrance of the Zoo.

I doubt very seriously this is the kind of crowd the Zoo was expecting as this event is more for children, not teenagers. As long as their paying though, who cares, right?

It's a huge fund raiser for the Zoo and with the weather holding out it should bring in some $35,000.00 for the Zoo. We'll have to see if Ron Alessi announces the figures at the next Zoo Commission Meeting?

  3. That's a GREAT question Jimbo. Jennifer's last year at the Zoo Jim Rapp and Karen lost some $10,000.00 and they never did find it. They tried to claim they spent it on props but there was less than $500.00 spent in props that year. Then they tried claiming it went to candy. Nope, not candy either. They don't spend more than $500.00 on candy either. So to ask Jennifer where the money goes there Jimbo, she questioned where the $10,000.00 went and no one replied with the truth. Ron Alessi covered it up and it never got brought back up.

I believe I remember you guys sending $5,000.00 of last years money to the Audobon Zoo in New Orleans, a Zoo that only lost one animals and Jim Rapp made it sound as if they were desperate down there when in fact the Salisbury Zoo has had far greater damage after a big rain than New Orleans ever had.

Oh, keep in mind as well Folks, Jim Rapp took ALL the credit for the $5,000.00 donation and said nothing about it publicly coming from an internal fund raiser at the Zoo during Halloween. I'm sure the Citizens would have felt much better about all the money they spent at this event knowing they were a part of donating funds to a Zoo that didn't need it.

That might also be one of the reasons John Harris has offered to sponsor his Yacht tonight for a fund raiser for Charles Jannace. Hey Jimbo, do you think John and Charles know something you don't about the Salisbury Zoo and the Mayor? Remember Folks, John Harris is the wonderful man that donated more than $5,000.00 for the new Otters at the Zoo and asked to be on the Zoo Commission and the Mayor hasn't responded to his request in more than 6 months now, not a single message, letter or response! Also remember Jim Rapp went on and on about how the ZOO donated the $5,000.00 to the Audobon Zoo once again and took 100% credit for the Otters when it was in fact John Harris who donated the money and Jim Rapp never said a word about his donation! Now maybe you can understand why I don't feel sorry for a man that throws gasoline on a fire after it's been light and burns himself. Even more recently a bad car accident.

    Animals, 2.
    Jim Rapp, 0!

    Say Goodnight Gracie!

  6. If you want to see something special for the kids, go to the Fruitland Sports Center run and owned by the Hearne Family and see unconsitional people who are loving, caring and simply put, "Good People."

"IF" the Zoo was doing this for the kids they would do so at no charge. I'm not at all suggesting what they're doing is wrong. What I am suggesting however is, they lose $10,000.00 CASH and nobody investigates it? Well, it wasn't their money anyway, right? How about they raise this money and pay their own way to feed the animals at the Zoo rather than donating 50% of it to another foreign country for animal preservation and then charge taxpayers to feed the animals at the Zoo. What say you now Ron Alessi?

Maybe we should look into opening a new Zoo with the Hearne's at their property?
