More Fond Memories

  1. my2sense,

Jennifer and I cared for these little guys until they were healthy enough to be adopted into loving homes. There wasn't a single family we didn't just fall in love with, (especially their children) with full confidence these animals were going to great homes.

We have 2 horses here at the Ranch now that we'll never get rid of. At some point I'll come up with a before and after photos of Little Big Man. He wasn't the most attractive foal in the world and he had a winter coat that just wouldn't come off. One day I came home and Jennifer had destroyed a pair of electric clippers clipping this guy down to the coat he should have has and I have to tell you, I was amazed! Out of nowhere came the most beautiful foal we had ever had, yet no one wanted him.

These foals were adopted by people in Upstate New York, Connecticut, Maryland, just all over the place! I get e-mail messages and photos all the time from their new owners and they have all matured into incredible yearlings.

I will say this though. "IF" we had not purchased these foals there was certain death for all of them. Either they weren't healthy enough to survive or they were off to slaughter.

If "ANY" of you had seen these farms and the conditions these guys were living in, I'm confident you'd not only want to shoot the owners, you'd have rescued as many as you possibly could handle as well. Maybe one day Jennifer will get on here and describe just how bad it was but trust me, unimaginable is the best word I can come up with. Oh, and don't think I don't have pictures either because I do! NOT something you want to see!
