THE LAW IS THE LAW

So if the US government determines that it is against the ! law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.

And if that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen.

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.

I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart. BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?

Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I do n't believe the Government and its employees should participate in the Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the " US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.

I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, i f all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct." In fact....

I think that our government should work on Sundays (initially set aside for worshipping God...) because, after all, our government says that it should be just another day.... What do you all think????

If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin, once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American people. SO BE IT.

Council Meeting At 6:00 PM Tonight

Shall we discuss the Jersey Road Annexation?

The last we touched on this, several people were upset about a Round-A-Bout being put it on a Truck Route.

My personal opinion is that the Westwood Industrial Park will create a tremendous amount of traffic through this route for any Truckers heading to and from Delaware, purposely missing/avoiding the Weight Stations on Rt. 13.

The mere fact the County decided they had not provided enough information on this project and walked away from it clearly shows the City of Salisbury should NOT be moving forward with this Annexation as it stands. Not until the County is satisfied they have met all their wants and needs. The time being wasted on this IMO is completely unprofessional and slaps the County in the face.

A Traffic Study needs to be conducted well before this is considered for annexation.

This Year Verses Last Year

Fire Department, Mayor & Wilber Caught In Another Scam!

The Fire Department, (Chief See & Deputy Chief Gordy seen in photo above) confronted the Salisbury City Council on 10-22-07 and asked the City to allow a right of way for a Mr. Gary Chandler.

Mind you Folks, this was done in late October. Council Woman Terry Cohen was reviewing the City checks and realized that Paul Wilber had given the City a Bill for services on this matter back in July, BEFORE it has EVER been presented to the Council for discussion!

I'm telling you, someone needs to get control of this woman because she is completely out of control. Yeah, there are no private meetings going on in the City behind every one's back, right? Start calling the Attorney Generals Office because enough is enough!

Delmarva Dealings

As many of you know, Delmarva Dealings has been unpredictable in the past 2 months. Are they coming back? Will they put up a Post today? Is GA OK? There are many questions and similar to the last time this happened, he just sort of disappeared and I wasn't too pleased about it then and I'm not too pleased about it now.

I personally feel he should let everyone know what's going on and or his future intentions. To leave his Blog up and have no explanation IMO is just wrong. GA has respectfully delivered some of the finest news and information/opinion anyone else has ever done here on the Shore and it's pretty obvious, I miss his work.

I have called GA numerous times in the past two weeks and he has yet to return my call. I have spoken to several friends about him and they too can't get through to him. It's very similar to Kenny Burns from Maryland Politics Today. Every number I have for him doesn't work all of a sudden. So if you're reading this Kenny, drop me a line. Just in case your phone broke, 410-430-5349.

Not every day can be filled with breaking news but having a few additional quality Blogs around really helped locally. Perhaps some new ones will break out? God Help Us, NOT John Robinson though, PLEASE?

Son Beats Father In Delmar

It was a year ago today I met Chief Joe from the Delmar Fire Department. We started off rocky but quickly gained respect for one and other at this scene a year ago today in Delmar.

If you'll recall, a Son had beaten his elderly Father on Line Road, (Rt. 54) in Delmar, DE. I'm please to report that there has not been another scene like it in the past year.

Progress In One Year?

A year ago today, Mrs. Forbes confronted the Mayor & City Council about the poor engineering of the City in which whenever it rains heavy in the City, most run off ends up on her property causing horrible damage. She asked for help, the Mayor & Council ACTED as if they were truly concerned, NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.

Perhaps I should create a monthly Newsletter about the Forbes Family in Salisbury and see where that brings us?

Granddad Speaks Out On Duvall's Turkey Of The Year Poll

I tried what you are saying and when I did it, I voted for Louise just to see what would happen and her numbers jumped 9 times once, 12 times the next time and 20 times the following, all within 30 seconds. There's no question the Poll is fixed. Oh well, if only Billy would pay a few dollars to get a real poll. You know lawyers and their money, they're not going to part with it. Not that I blame him. It would have been nice to see a fair Poll though and to those I spoke with about this already, they all agree. It has taken away from the fun of it, yet my hits are up today. YAHOO!

"Andy Harris For Congress Campaign Calls On Gilchrest To Denounce Negative Special Interest Attack Ads"

Annapolis - Today, State Senator Andy Harris' congressional campaign called on Wayne Gilchrest to denounce the negative attack ads released last week by a Washington, DC based liberal special interest group.

The League of Conservation Voters endorsed Gilchrest on Monday, and then launched a barrage of negative attack ads on Wednesday against Andy on both broadcast and cable. The ad buy totaled over $40,000.


"Gilchrest should demand these liberal special interest attack ads cease immediately," said Chris Meekins, Harris for Congress Campaign Manager. "If this group fails to stop the ads, Gilchrest should denounce their support and disclose exactly how these ads are funded."


In response to the endorsement of this liberal special interest group, Gilchrest stated he was "honored to receive" their support (Star Democrat 11/6/2007). "This proves once again, Gilchrest has changed. In previous elections, Gilchrest stated, 'I think the whole country would be better off without the influence of political action committees'(Kent County News, 1993)," said Meekins, "but now that he's facing his toughest reelection ever, Gilchrest is willing to put his reelection interests ahead of the interests of his constituents."


"We elected Wayne Gilchrest to change Washington, but it's clear by the support he's getting from liberal special interest groups that Washington changed Wayne Gilchrest," concluded Meekins.


In the 2006 election cycle, the liberal League of Conservation Voters was fined over $180,000 for violating federal campaign election laws.

Martin O’Malley Spooks Marylanders With Gas Tax Hike

Gas Tax Would Rise Automatically Every Year

ANNAPOLIS – Just in time for Halloween, O’Malley administration officials today spooked Marylanders with a proposal to raise the gasoline tax every year for the rest of their lives.

Currently, Maryland state government has a 23.5-cents per gallon tax on gasoline. Under the O’Malley Gas Tax Hike, the gas tax would go up to 24-cents per gallon and would be indexed to increase automatically every year with no end in sight. Governor O’Malley had proposed indexing the gasoline tax to one of the fastest growing indexes available – the Construction Cost Index. The state gasoline tax is in addition to the federal gasoline tax, which the Democrat Congress is also looking to increase.

Dr. Jim Pelura, Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party, released the following statement:

“Martin O’Malley redefined ‘trick or treat’ today. He is pushing tax tricks for Maryland families and sweet treats to pay back his special interests. O’Malley’s tax trick today was to convince Marylanders that they need to pay more at the gas pump. Fortunately, Marylanders are seeing through these tax tricks and making their voices known. ‘No more taxes’ is the universal chant.

“What’s worse is that O’Malley wants to pass legislation that would require the gas tax to increase every year forever without having to justify why the tax needs to go up. Where is the accountability or the transparency in such a plan? O’Malley is telling Marylanders he just wants their money, but does not want to explain why he wants it. For those visiting Annapolis today, beware of tax monsters picking your pockets. They have been spotted throughout the day.”
