"Geraldo's tweets do not reflect the views of Fox News or its management,"the network said in a statement to The Hill. "We were troubled by his comments and are addressing them with him."
In a series of tweets Wednesday afternoon, Rivera seemed to downplay sexual harassment allegations against "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer, who was fired by NBC News earlier Wednesday.
Rivera called news a "flirty business" and noted the recent spate of sexual harassment complaints risks "criminalizing courtship & conflating it [with] predation."
