Gillis will make another fortune on this one.

9:40- put your money up and take the risk, loser. Go get a JOB!

A groundbreaking on a rental?

1015-Where's the risk when you're a good ol' boy?

To 9:40 -- the State's Attorney was being forced to get a new space and Gillis was the lowest bidder.

Are you willing to work for free? If not, then why criticize Gillis for doing a job that needed to be done?

Will Bob Eaton and David Moore use this opportunity to serve papers?

Gillis wasn't the lowest bidder. The others provided quotes based on the info they were given. This was by no means a level playing field!

To 11:17, Gillis was indeed the lowest bidder. Check the council minutes.

The other bidders were simply upset that Gillis submitted a better plan. They wanted a rebid after taking a look at what Gillis did. They were sore losers who went whining to the council. If the council ordered a rebid every time someone was upset they lost, nothing would ever get built.

10:41 - you're not a part of the good ol' boy network are you. You and 9:40 are losers.

David Moore is nothing but a typical lawyer....IMO, he is a jerk.

1154-Proud not to be a member. Look around, the Shore is chit. The biggest pig in the pigsty doesn't mean much to most folks in the real world. Might move the needle on the Shore but not off it lol

Joe, I'm beginning to believe the only people who comment on your blogsite are negative, unhappy people. If they are so unhappy about things that happen in Wicomico County and the State, I say MOVE!
Can't we all come together and work for the betterment of our community?

The betterment will start when cronyism and corruption stop. The first step in making our community any better is to communicate and expose truth regardless of who dislikes it. And it's a cruel, sick, satanic world. Not speaking up is what's wrong with us now.

The States Attorneys office needs and deserves all the best in security and room to grow. For too long they worked in poor space and poor security. Some times if you treat your elected official respectfully they rise to the occasion. Why should they labor in less than stellar conditions and you expect stellar outcomes. I say ..give them what they need and they will represent the city far better than punishing them with cramped space and limited technology. Personally if the contractor has a good rep for doing his job I would choose him over a cheaper or lesser known every time. Lets get this city up to date and move on to bigger and better things. Give them what they need to do the job and do it well.

11:50pm You talk about corruption. Please explain.

If it wasn't for Prettyman, it would have been re-bid.

total waste of money. just give them an office close but NO, we had to build a castle. Waste!

Here's a question to ponder? Did the new Salisbury police station curb drug sales on Delaware Ave? Ok, if you have that answer, tell me what good a new, big States Attorney's office will accomplish? Also explain to me why the city of Fruitland needed a 2 million dollar police station. Delmar is next to trying to get a new big building. Does anybody see where this curbs crime, or do you notice crime grows when you need a reason to have the new expensive building. Congratulations tax payers.

12:27. more BS. The vote was 5 to 2. only culver and joe holloway voted against it and they vote against any real progress because they are both clueless

1:49. The SAO PROSECUTES crime. Get a clue

Old facilities cannot support new technology and the law suffers. New laws are passed that require up to date equipment that years ago were not in this county while the rest of Maryland was using the technology and solving problems. Basically this county was in the dark and was a shock to outsiders who had the modern technology and counted on it. When that happens everyone suffers. No ...we may not be the most progressive area but stop holding up the best we can be by all the bickering and in fighting. Salisbury needs to think like a big city because it has become one like it or not.

Oh gee, after having a SAO in the Court House for 100 + years, we have the nut wings dishing it. Give me a break. It's time for Salisbury to move in the 21st Century and get a grip.

Guess we need to blame Prettyman and Gillis for all of this mess. Wonder what's in it for Prettyman and what's in it for Gillis? Anyone know?

7:33. typical far right nonsense. The entire council voted in favor of the project
