OCCUPY OAKLAND ATTACK - LIBERALS VS LIBERALS?????

How do those who say the Occupy Movement is nothing but a bunch of liberals looking for government handouts explain what happened in Oakland? You had a liberal Democratic mayor ordering the police to attack and disperse protestors who are supposedly liberals. WTF? I’m sure Hannity and O’Reilly will spout that this is part of the master plan laid out by Saul Alinsky and George Soros.

The fact is that American citizens of all types are involved in the Occupy Movement. The government authorities are run by Republicans and Democrats. The parties are interchangeable because they have both been bought off by Wall Street and corporate America. The authorities will use their jackboots to remain in control. The citizens will be told to act like passive sheep or they will slaughter us.

I wouldn’t classify Karl Denninger as a liberal. His article below addresses the criminals in this story. The jackbooted thugs that beat and shoot peaceful protestors are the criminals.

STOP BULLSHITTING US

Below is a chart and a brief propaganda piece from the MSM that tells you everything you need to know about how fucked we are as a country. Have you been watching the GOP debates? Most of these morons stand up there and spout off about how they will reduce taxes, increase military spending, not cut Social Security or Medicare for the elderly and balance the budget by cutting wasteful spending.

Here is the reality. We spend $3.8 trillion per year in the categories listed on the chart. If the GOP candidates are going to increase the first category and not touch the second category, then the third category will keep growing. This means that $2.4 trillion out of $3.8 trillion is untouchable. Meanwhile, the Republicans will be reducing revenue by cutting taxes.

We currently bring in about $2.4 trillion in tax revenue. This means EVERYTHING besides the top three categories would need to be ELIMINATED in order to balance the budget.

Obama is no better. He has increased War spending every year in office to levels well above Bush. He will never touch Social Security or Medicare. In fact, his Obamacare will add billions more in spending. Ron Paul is the only candidate willing to put forth a plan to cut everything. It is the only chance we would have as a country, but Americans will never vote to take their fee shit away.

Tear Down That Wall Of Central Planning's Prison State

It appears that ex-Soviet ruler Mikhail Gorbachev has come out of the woodwork again. This time Gorby treats us with more "global governance" nonsense, calling for more centralization of power and more central planning. But more central planning means more imprisonment of the people by the State. Contrary to Gorbachev’s fantasy of world communism/fascism, what we need is more freedom!

When Ronald Reagan called out, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" the wall might as well have referred to the U.S. government’s imprisonment of the American people via the police state, regulatory intrusions and government’s always-increasing confiscation of private wealth. But the reality is that we need to go the other way, away from central planning and toward decentralization.

On the talk shows and in the news, and on YouTube videos and in public forums, there is an epidemic in America of denial and fantasy. Each election cycle, we have statist candidate A vs. statist candidate B, especially with the national elections, and there do not seem to be any candidates or voters who are willing to face the music and deal with the reality of the inherent destructiveness of central planning.

Obama's Re-Fi Plan: The Perfection Of Debt-Serfdom

How better to corral restive underwater debt-serfs than to herd them into accepting a new, "better" set of lifelong servitude shackles?

President Obama is taking credit for a new government plan to "save homeowners." That is of course pure propaganda to mask the plan's true goal: the perfection of debt-serfdom. The basic thrust of the plan is straightforward: encourage "underwater" homeowners whose mortgages exceed the value of their homes to re-finance at lower rates.

The stated incentive (i.e. the PR pitch) is to lower homeowners' monthly payments via lower interest rates.

This is the Federal Reserve's entire game plan in a nutshell: don't write off any debt, as that would reveal the banking sector's insolvency, but play extend-and-pretend with crushing debtloads by lowering the cost of servicing the debt.

The key purpose of this "plan" is to leave the principle owed to banks on their books at full value while ensnaring the hapless debt-serf (the "homeowner") into permanent servitude to the banks.

QUOTES OF THE DAY 10-26-11

“I have also told them not to work for companies which make massacre machinery, and to express contempt for people who think we need machinery like that.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five

“That was an ordinary way for a patriotic American to talk back then. It’s hard to believe how sick of war we used to be.[...]We used to call armaments manufacturers “Merchants of Death.”

Can you imagine that?

Nowadays, of course, just about our only solvent industry is the merchandising of death, bankrolled by our grandchildren, so that the message of our principal art forms, movies and television and political speeches and newspaper columns, for the sake of the economy, simply has to be this: War is hell, all right, but the only way a boy can become a man is in a shoot-out of some kind, preferably, but by no means necessarily, on a battlefield.”
Kurt Vonnegut

“Why don’t you write an anti-glacier book instead?’

What he meant, of course, was that there would always be wars, that they were as easy to stop as glaciers. I believe that too.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five

“Be careful what you pretend to be because you are what you pretend to be.”
Kurt Vonnegut

“Well, I know,” she said. “You’ll pretend you were men instead of babies, and you’ll be played in the movies by Frank Sinatra and John Wayne or some of those other glamorous, war-loving, dirty old men. And war will look just wonderful, so we’ll have a lot more of them. And they’ll be fought by babies like the babies upstairs.”

So then I understood. It was war that made her so angry. She didn’t want her babies or anybody else’s babies killed in wars. And she thought wars were partly encouraged by books and movies.

So I held up my right hand and I made her a promise: “Mary,” I said, “I don’t think this book of mine will ever be finished. I must have written five thousand pages by now, and thrown them all away. If I ever do finish it, though, I give you my word of honor: there won’t be a part for Frank Sinatra or John Wayne.

“I tell you what,” I said, “I’ll call it ‘The Children’s Crusade.’”

She was my friend after that.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Slaughterhouse-Five

Are Hillary Clinton And Joe Biden Trying Out For New Jobs?

Under the definition that a cynic is a premature realist, I nominate myself with the following theory: It’s no accident or coincidence that Joe Biden is acting like such a jerk lately, and Hillary Rodham Clinton is playing the good soldier. They are trying out for new jobs -- each other’s.

Clinton could replace the foot-in-mouth vice president as President Obama’s running mate, and Biden could replace her as secretary of state.

Why Are We Letting Kids Be Held Hostage To A Government Monopoly?

For years, American education from kindergarten through high school has been a virtual government monopoly.

Conventional wisdom is that government must run the schools. But government monopolies don't do anything well.
They fail because they have no real competition. Yet competition is what gives us better phones, movies, cars -- everything that's good.

If governments produced cars, we'd have terrible cars.

Actually, governments once did produce cars. The Soviet bloc puts its best engineers to work and came up with the Yugo, the Volga and the Trabant.

The Importance Of Being Silly

We all want to raise kids who are resilient and able to bounce back quickly from stressful moments. Think of the people that you know who seem to be able to skip through the day. What those people have in common is the ability to be serious, the ability to be silly, funny, friendly, aloof....

Parents seem to have the belief that teens become resilient by being tough, assertive, and able to stand up for themselves. This is true in part, but I will let you in on a secret. Teens who have the easiest time navigating those years are the ones who carry a toolbox or handbag or backpack with a variety of personality characteristics in it. The key is that they have the ability to be flexible.

FEMA To Respond At A Moments Notice

FEMA has a new policy of getting ready to respond even before the president and a governor declare an emergency. The agency is pre-staging people and supplies so it can leap into action on a moment's notice, GovExec reports. Administrator Craig Fugate told lawmakers the 2006 FEMA reform law gives the agency that level of flexibility. The Tea Party Nation's Sellout

On February 19, 2009, CNBC commentator Rick Santelli put forth a marvelous patriotic rant for several minutes declaring that Americans should stand up and protest the Obama administration's outrageous socialist policies. And he promised to organize a Chicago Tea Party to help publicize the cause later in July.

Little did he know at the time what he had wrought. He was cheered vehemently by millions of libertarians, conservatives and independents throughout America. By April 15th "tea parties" in more than 750 cities held demonstrations. The fervor for revitalizing Samuel Adams' 1773 Boston Tea Party rebellion against the oppressive English spread in waves across modern America. The call went out to stand against Washington's domination of our lives just as the patriots of our founding era had done. And it was met magnificently. The protests swelled into July and culminated in a massive "taxpayers march on DC" on September 12, 2009 that numbered several hundred thousand marchers.

Out of this, many of us in the libertarian and conservative movements developed high hopes that the history of Lexington and Concord could be repeated – not violently, but intellectually and democratically. Could we not spawn a new Sons of Liberty for the modern day that would do as Sam Adams' boys had done in the beginning? The original Sons of Liberty in 1773 became the hub of a profound wheel that fanned out across the colonies with intrepid spokes of brilliance to galvanize Americans against the tyranny of King George.
The combination of their provocative protests with the philosophical thought of the likes of Locke and Jefferson brought us the Declaration of Independence, the Revolution and the birth of the world's first free nation at Philadelphia's Independence Hall in 1787. Out of such kernels of intrepidity usher forth all the giant societal changes in mankind's fortunes. When heroic men and women of integrity become acquainted with great philosophical truth, they become willing to stand against the tides of corruption and conformity inherent in all statist establishments. To such revolutionary paragons we owe much.

NAFTA Ascending: First Mexican Trade-Truck Enters US

Nearly two decades after the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the first Mexican truck ventured into the U.S. under provisions of the controversial treaty. With little fanfare, a white tractor-trailer with Mexican license plates entered the courtyard of the Atlas Copco facility in Garland, Texas on Saturday afternoon to unload a Mexico-manufactured metal structure for drilling oil wells. The delivery marked the first time that a truck from Mexico reached the U.S. interior under the 17-year-old trade agreement, which was supposed to give trucks from the neighboring countries access to highways on both sides of the border. The Obama administration signed an agreement with Mexico to end the long dispute over the NAFTA provision in July that also removes $2 billion in duties on American goods. – Huffington Post/Latino Voices

Ex-Goldman Director Will Turn Himself In To FBI, To Face Criminal Charges

Is it safe to say that the Goldman love affair with the government is officially over? From Reuters [6]: "Former Goldman Sachs director Rajat Gupta will surrender to the FBI on Wednesday to face criminal charges, a person familiar with the investigation said. Gupta was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in hedge fund founder Raj Rajaratnam's trial earlier this year. He has denied wrongdoing. Rajaratnam was sentenced to 11-years in prison this month. Gupta's attorney, Gary Naftalis, did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment." Perhaps it is also safe to say that the war between Obama and Wall Street is now official. Of course, we give Obama about 24 hours before the economy tanks, the stock market implodes, the great unwashed see their meager 201k's converted into 100.5k's, and decide to #OccupyTheWhiteHouse [7]. In other words, our money is not on the administration on this one. In fact, when the smoke settles, we expect a few extra tentacles from 200 West to penetrate even deeper into the three farcical branches of government of this once non-banana republic.

The 73-year-old man, who is not related to the late former city councilman, mayor, governor and comptroller, told many of those stories on Tuesday morning in Baltimore County Orphans' Court, to no avail.

Delegate Mike McDermott Speaks At Worcester County Women's Republican Club

Last night I had the pleasure of being invited to the Worcester County Women's Republican Club Meeting where their Guest Speaker was Delegate Mike McDermott.

You know what Folks, Mike McDermott has had his fair share of nay sayers over the many years I have personally known him but let me say this. There is NO better Delegate and there may have never been, (throughout history) a more informed and vocal Delegate in the state of Maryland.

This man sets the bar when it comes to HOW to represent his constituents. His passion is second to NONE. His true knowledge of each piece of legislation is just amazing.

Last night he spoke about his experience and frustration, especially for the Eastern Shore. His concerns towards where we are headed as a state were very clear and when Mike is done speaking, well, there's absolutely no doubt what he does and doesn't stand for.

Yes, I could spell out just about everything Mike spoke about last night but you know what, I'd rather encourage you to find the time to actually attend one of his speaking events. He will have you in the palm of his hands as he so charismatically walks you through his life in Annapolis.

There's a good reason for those nay sayers, (as mentioned above) the Democrats are scared to death of this man because there's no doubt in my mind being a State Delegate is just a stepping stone as to where Mike will ultimately end up.

If we were ever fortunate enough to have Mike McDermott run for Governor we'd certainly enjoy a much better way of life in the state of Maryland. Mike McDermott is where the BS ends and the accountability begins.

I want to thank the Worcester County Women's Republican Club for their kind invitation. It was well worth the trip.

Home Invasion Robbery

On October 25, 2011 at approximately 9:06 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the one hundred (100) block of Onley Road for the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with two (2) adult female victims who advised that they had been robbed inside of their residence at gunpoint by two (2) suspects. The victims stated that the suspects had knocked at the door and then forced their way into the residence when the door was answered. Both suspects produced handguns then searched the residence, taking an amount of property. The suspects fled from the residence on foot and the victims were not injured. Salisbury Police K-9 Miso conducted a track for the suspects which led to an area on Halsey Drive. It is not known at this time if this incident is related to the previous home invasion and this investigation is continuing.

The suspects were described as:

1. African American male, early 20’s, approximately 5’5”, heavy build, wearing a dark t-shirt, dark sweatpants, a hat and his shirt as a face mask.

2. African American male, early 20’s, thin build, approximately 6’0” to 6’1”, wearing dark clothing, a hat and a bandanna facial mask.

While the two recent incidents are under investigation, the Salisbury Police are asking the citizens of Salisbury to consider the following tips to help ensure their safety.

1. If you are not expecting guests, do not open your door at night if you do not know who is at the door. If the subjects refuse to identify themselves, or you do not know them, notify the police immediately.
2. Be aware of your surroundings if you find yourself outside of your residence after dark. Avoid dimly lit areas that are secluded or over grown with plant growth.
3. When exiting your vehicle to enter your residence, check the area to ensure that no one that you do not know is in the area.
4. If you see anyone in the area of your residence that seems to be loitering in the area or acting in a suspicious manner, notify the police department immediately.

If anyone has any information concerning this incident they are asked to contact the Salisbury Police at 410-548-3165 or Crime Solvers of Delmarva at 410-548-1776. All information is beneficial and information may be left at both locations anonymously.

An Apocalyptic End To World’s Biggest Bubble

Yes, the Four Horsemen, again. The perfect biblical metaphor for today’s bizarre world, where irrational ideologies prey on us, driving America deep into a dark world we’ve seen before: Goethe’s Faust, Dorian Gray, Dante’s Inferno.

How else to accept today’s bizarre plot line: A decade ago Republican George W. Bush took our great nation into a $3 trillion war on lies. Today that party is mindlessly controlled by a cultish anti-tax pledge made to lobbyist Grover Norquist and his Americans for Tax Reform group, who once proclaimed: “I don’t want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.”
