Salisbury Burglaries/Part One Violent Crime Up As Much As 38%

Part One Violent crime is up 14% in Salisbury compared to this time last year.

Robberies have increased 18% and burglaries have climbed 38%. In the last month, the city has had 70 burglaries, according to a WBOC news report.

Again, Salisbury News has been trying to tell every one for years now that things are much worse than the local MSM wants to expose.

It seems they are finally catching on and that's a good thing.

Update: The Sarah Foxwell Memorial

If you'd like to drop off a letter or item you're welcome to do so at the Shorebirds Stadium.

Let's ALL Get Something Very Clear Here On Sarah Foxwell

For starters, there have been multiple comments referencing the care and well being of Sarah Foxwell.

Being the "guardian" of our own Grandson, Lord knows the parents of that child aren't fit to raise them. No matter what the circumstances are on their behalf, our Grandson is extremely fortunate he has several people that love him unconditionally and would do anything to offer support.

Now I want you to know something here. Sarah's Aunt is a good woman. Better than most of you critics out there bitching and complaining about Sarah's situation. Mind you, did she make some mistakes, absolutely. When Sarah's Aunt learned who Thomas Leggs was, she immediately dumped her relationship with him, (two weeks before Sarah was taken).

Sarah's Aunt worked VERY hard to provide for not just Sarah but for SEVEN children all together. How many children are YOU raising? She is simply a LOVING Aunt who was the ONLY one in the Family willing to step up to the plate and care for everyone.

Did she have any financial gain in doing so, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Sarah's Parents are UNFIT to raise their children. You people need to stop right here and now from attacking a woman who is grieving probably more so than the biological parents of Sarah Foxwell.

One thing is for sure Folks, I know more about this case than ANY one of you. My insides are so torn out from what Thomas Leggs did to this beautiful innocent child but I also hurt inside because I happen to know that Sarah's pain is now gone and the LIVING will have to deal with this for the rest of their lives.

They don't need YOU to point a finger at them and tell them what is right and wrong here. There is a very good reason the Sheriff's Department and States Attorneys Office is refraining from telling you the details in this case, I DO NOT BLAME THEM. In fact, I have learned so much about this case and the way it was handled, one thing is for sure, until THEY tell you what they said and did throughout this case, I'll never say a word. If they never say a thing, neither will I. I have more respect right here and now for the way they handled this case than I ever did in the past. Sheriff Mike Lewis is a God Send to this community and not that I ever had any doubt about that in the past, I'm so deeply convinced of that now I simply and truly appreciate his leadership like never before.

Many have contacted me and asked me what really happened. My reply is and will continue to be, an 11 year old innocent child was murdered by a very sick man who deserves to DIE. I may not ever make that statement about another human being for the rest of my life but let me assure you, I hope this man dies. I hope they wire him up and run electricity through his body until he is dead and I hope it hurts this man with pain. However, your Governor will probably never let that happen.

Now, for those of you who believe I am a sick man for making such a statement, let me tell you this. IF they asked for a volunteer to pull the switch to make this happen, I'd be the very first in line to do so. I WILL sleep at night from that day forward without any problem whatsoever. I will deal with God when my time comes but I can assure you I would have absolutely no problem whatsoever doing so.

NOW, if you want someone to pick on, pick on me. In the mean time, leave the Family, (especially the Aunt) out of the picture. This was NOT an irresponsible woman. This woman absolutely loved and adored Sarah Foxwell and my prayers go out to her. Please place yourself in her position right now and understand that she needs more support than the biological parents. Thomas Leggs, (as well as many other sex offenders) saw a weak link and killed an innocent child. One thing I can guarantee you is, IF Sarah's Aunt was present, she would have given up her life to save any and all of those children. Let me also say this. There WAS an adult in the home when Sarah was taken. Stop spreading rumors that the children were all alone.

I'd even go so far as to say that I would personally be willing to pay for Thomas Leggs Headstone as long as I got to choose the design. It would be a very simple one, a Fire Hydrant.

F.A.Q. Web Page Established For Parents Interested In The Dr. Bradley Case

Resume: The Delaware State Police has established a web site in regards to Frequently Asked Questions for the Dr. Bradley Case.

Also, upgrades to the Troop 4 voice mail system are taking place at this time. Detectives have been inundated with phone calls; and these calls have quickly filled the voice mailbox system at the Troop. Also, this voice mail system is intended to assist those who believe that they or their child is a part of this investigation. Unfortunately, multiple messages have been left with 'comments only' about the case, which has prevented those who actually need to speak to investigators, from leaving a message.

This case is very complex and the investigation is ongoing so it may take several days for a detective to return one’s message.

Those interested in viewing the web page mentioned above should follow these steps. This is a recent update, so one may have to “refresh” their web page to see the latest edition:

go to www.dsp.delaware.gov

Joe, About Your Last Post......

I just wanted to tell you I am a foster mom, and have also raised both my niece and nephew. I know exactly what you mean when you say love knows no bounds. Please in your thoughts somewhere know that there is another person out here that feels just as you do. I did not know this family...I do not know the Aunt , but my prayers have been with her ever night and day since this has happened. Please let her know that not everyone feels this way. Not everyone blames her, and some of us more than others know just how easy it is to love a child that did not come from your body. Some children grow in your heart. I don't know how to help other than prayer, but if there was anything I could do...please know that I would. I hope someday this family finds some peace, and I am with you when I say I hope that monster never does. May God forgive me for what I think should happen to him, and any other like him. I hope you find peace as well. Sometimes knowing to much, is worse than knowing nothing at all. A day has not passed that I myself have not cried...a stranger...I can not imagine the pain of those that loved that child. I just needed to say this, so you knew. God bless...

Beleaguered Nelson To Air TV Ad Tonight

As a fresh poll measured the political cost of Sen. Ben Nelson's health reform vote, he prepared Tuesday to take his case directly to Nebraskans during Wednesday night's Holiday Bowl game.

Nelson will air a new TV ad in which he attempts to debunk opposition claims that the Senate legislation represents a government takeover, and he makes the case for health care reform.

"With all the distortions about health care reform, I want you to hear directly from me," the Democratic senator says in the ad.

Nelson, dressed in an open-necked shirt and sweater, speaks directly into the camera during the 30-second ad.

The message will be launched during the Nebraska-Arizona football game and continue to air statewide for an undisclosed number of days.

The political damage Nelson may have incurred in providing the critical 60th vote that cleared the way for Senate passage of the health care reform bill showed up Tuesday in a poll released by Rasmussen Reports.

It's A Dogs World

My dog sleeps about 16 hours a day. He has his food prepared for him. He can eat whenever he wants, 24/7/365. His meals are provided at no cost to him. He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this He pays nothing, and nothing is required of him. He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than He needs, but He is not required to do any upkeep. If He makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep. He receives these accommodations absolutely free. He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of his costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head:

Holy crap, my dog is a democrat!

Ten New Reasons Why Obamacare Can Still Be Killed

New reasons emerge almost daily as to why Obamacare can and must be defeated.

1. The American people oppose Obamacare by almost two to one in the latest CNN poll. Other polls show lopsided opposition to passing either the Senate or House health care bill.

Public opinion is against the bill because of its obscene costs in higher taxes, burdensome debt, anti-freedom mandates, rationing and reduced care for seniors. The American people have awakened to the fact that Obamacare is transformational legislation that will drag us against popular will into European-style socialism.

Barack Obama Gets An 'F' For Protecting Americans

There is no more solemn duty for an American commander-in-chief than the martialling of “all elements of American power” – the phrase Obama himself used on Monday – to protect the people of the United States. In that key respect, Obama failed on Christmas Day, just as President George W. Bush failed on September 11th (though he succeeded in the seven years after that).

Yes, the buck stops in the Oval Office. Obama may have rather smugly given himself a “B+” for his 2008 performance but he gets an F for the events that led to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab boarding a Detroit-bound plane in Amsterdam with a PETN bomb sewn into his underpants. He said today that a “systemic failure has occurred”. Well, he’s in charge of that system.

The picture we’re getting is more and more alarming by the hour. Here are some key elements to consider:

1. Abdulmutallab’s father spoke several times to the US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria and visited a CIA officer there to tell him, apparently, that he feared his son was a jihadist being trained in Yemen. According to CNN, the CIA officer wrote up a report, which then sat in the CIA headquarters at Langley for several weeks without being disseminated to the rest of the intelligence community. This was not just a casual encounter. Again according to CNN, there were at least two face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and written correspondence with the father. If it’s true that the CIA sat on this then it beggars belief.

Redskins Have Complied With Rooney Rule, Clearing Path To Replace Jim Zorn

Coach Jim Zorn prepares for the final game of the regular season, the Washington Redskins have already cleared a major hurdle that would enable them to hire a new head coach. The team has complied with the NFL's Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior front-office positions, according to John Wooten, president of the group charged with monitoring diversity hiring in the league.

Rooney Rule

The Rooney Rule, established in 2003, requires National Football League teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operations opportunities. The rule is named for Dan Rooney, the owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the chairman of the league's diversity committee, and indirectly the Rooney family in general due to the team's long history of giving African Americans opportunities that most NFL teams at one point didn't give. It is often cited as an example of affirmative action.

DAILY TIMES GIVES INCORRECT PARTY AFFILIATION

A letter in today's Daily Times (online) incorrectly states the party affiliation of two members of the Maryland Legislature who have already pre-filed bills in the upcoming session of the General Assembly to require judges to give stronger sentences to persons convicted of sex offenders with child victims, Both Senator Nancy Jacobs and Delegate Micharl Smigiel are Republicans!

It is unclear whether the author of the letter provided the incorrect information. This is written at 7:30 AM -- hopefully the error will be corrected promptly.

The Majority Of Sex Offenders Live In Salisbury

When you go to the Wicomico County Sex Offenders Website and count the amount of sex offenders, the majority of them live in Salisbury. In fact, from my own count, I found that there are currently 111 sex offenders that live in Salisbury out of 172 total sex offenders in the entire County.

Once again, I want everyone to think about the volume of inmates that come out of ECI who immediately come to Salisbury.

Lore' Chambers wants to rehabilitate these people and ask for grant money to teach them how to look for jobs. To me, this means they are trying to encourage them to stick around and make Salisbury their home. Mind you, I cannot confirm ALL of these people come from out of the area to begin with. In fact, we've been trying for quite some time to get the actual numbers of prisoners that do in fact come out of ECI and land in Salisbury. That request has never been filled.

We provided a letter from December of 2008 from a Mother crying out for help, where Thomas Leggs had abused her child. We have been raising attention to all sorts of crime/criminals for years now, much of which the MSM doesn't feel that kind of news sells commercials and advertisers.

Does it have to take another death before these figures are delivered? Does it mean we'll encourage more criminals to relocate to Salisbury in the hopes they'll have learned their lesson in prison and become good citizens and taxpayers?

Here at Salisbury News we have paid the price so many times for being open and vocal about such issues and matters. Thank God it hasn't been with our lives. Every time we see another murder, every time we reach out and talk about how VIOLENT the crimes are here in Salisbury, will someone finally listen?

OK, now I want to know what the City/County is going to do for us. I believe, (especially now) people are clearly listening and we've got every one's attention. It's time for answers. It's once again time for YOU to ask your Public Officials what their next move is. I have said from day one, the proposal by Lore' Chambers and Mayor Ireton is just flat out wrong.

Enough lives have been taken, many of which are children and young adults. Is it profiling if we pick and choose who can and can't live in a community? Is it discrimination to say we don't want sex offenders living in our neighborhoods? It probably is but there has to be a way we can curb INVITING inmates/prisoners to move out of ECI and make their homes in Salisbury or Wicomico County.

If ECI has a written agreement with the Governor stating those prisoners getting released from that Prison cannot live in their community, we should be given the same courtesy, especially after we continue to see crime/murders rise within.

That's just my opinion. Clearly we'd like to hear yours. Let me add, I'm not just talking about the Leggs case here. The statistics above clearly show there's a serious problem. Look at it overall and let us know your thoughts.

Another Child Gets Her Wings, Now Please Help Send Her Home

Dear Mr Albero

I am writing to you with hopes that you may be able to help my family. Monday evening December 28, 2009 my niece, Solei Watson died from a rare childhood cancer ( Infantile fibroid sarcoma) Solei was unable to be insured due to her diagnosis of cancer and now our family finds ourselves with an inability to cover her funeral expenses. She was initially diagnosed at 18 months old and had a third of her left lung removed. After several rounds of chemotherapy Solei went into remission for 3 years. This past August she was sent home from her 1st day of school with a fever. It was discovered that her cancer was back and had metastasized to her leg and a large tumor now covered her right lung. The cancer had spread very rapidly. During this time Solei and her mother traveled back and forth to Johns Hopkins for treatment and she was unable to return back to school. Solei's only wish at the time was to get better so that she could accompany her school choir on a field trip to New York in the spring. On December 15, of this year she had surgery to remove tumors from her leg/knee and at that time doctors scheduled her for surgery on December 28 to remove the lung tumors. Sadly Solei did not make it through her surgery and went home to be with the Lord. Mr. Albero, I know that your website is a valuable asset to the community and you have never hesitated to help someone if you could. If you could post this in hopes that your readers assist our family we would be so grateful. We are asking anyone that can to please make donations directly to Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, MD. I am more than willing to offer any additional information that you or your readers might need.

Thank you in advance,

Now That There's Another Democrat In The White House

Putin urges U.S. to share missile shield data!

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Russia will build new weapons to offset the planned U.S. missile defense and urged Washington to share detailed data about its missile shield under a new arms control deal.

You'll remember that the last Democrat that occupied the Oval Office (and it's adjacent 'lounge areas'..) provided significant missile guidance technology to the Chinese in exchange for.. well.. 'support' in his re-election bid, giving them the capability of delivering a nuclear greeting much more accurately.

It worked before, so maybe the Russians have decided to have a go at it.

"Tell us how your missile shield works, or we'll build lots of nasty new missiles that your shield can't stop!!"

Nothing to lose, right?

Never mind the fact that many of their nasty new missiles don't work right, and that their airplanes are falling out of the sky.

I guess it's worth a try-- they see who they're dealing with.

The Tragedy Of Sarah Foxwell

Joe – I am a Baltimore attorney, born and raised in Hebron. As was everyone else out there, my family was desperate to hear news about this tragedy as it unfolded late last week. And, as expected, the local “news” outlets let everyone down. I appreciate the aggressiveness with which you pursued this story. I believe I speak for all of the people whose hearts reside in the mid shore area when I say – we are devastated, we are furious, and we demand answers.

Has there been validation to the reports that the monster with whom Sarah lived also has custody of little Sarah's siblings, and that she received public funding for being their “guardian”? If someone could verify this, then I suggest a wonderful way for your readers to honor Sarah’s memory. IF TRUE, beginning tomorrow, your readers should begin flooding the Wicomico County DSS with calls and emails demanding that Sarah’s siblings be placed in protective custody. Then, your readers should demand an accounting from these “guardians” as to the profits they have received from the Bank of Willards lottery accounts that they have set up for themselves. You do not qualify for public assistance when you have income from other sources. Period. I believe Sarah Foxwell’s “guardians” would be a great place to make a budget cut.

And to the pastor who endorsed those accounts – shame on you.

Sarah Foxwell did not belong to her aunt. She was a tiny, but valuable, citizen of our state. The monsters to whom she was entrusted invited a convicted pedophile into her life - and even showed him where the key was - so that he could wake her from her sleep, snatch her from her home, and perpetrate this tragedy. The citizens of the mid shore should not rest until all of their questions are answered.

Again, I thank you for your diligence.

Candidates Face Ultimatum: Repeal Obamacare, Or else

FreedomWorks Press Secretary Adam Brandon told WND the message couldn't be any clearer. Asked whether he believes the tea party movement will seek to oust politicians who refuse to repeal the legislation, he emphatically declared, "Absolutely."

Max Pappas, vice president of FreedomWorks, echoed Brandon's statements in an interview with Gary Sargent, Washington blogger for the Plum Line, this week."

This has an unusual ability to be repealed, and the public is on that side." he said. "The Republicans are going to have to prove that they are worthy of their votes."

Both Brandon and Pappas emphasized that Congress must try to repeal the whole bill if it passes.

FreedomWorks is partnering with the American Liberty Alliance and several other groups to launch a massive Tax Day tea party at the White House Ellipse on April 15, 2010."

We're delivering this one right to the White House," Brandon said.

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press": "I suspect every Republican running in '10 and again in '12 will run on an absolute pledge to repeal this bill. The bill – most of the bill does not go into effect until '13 or '14, except on the tax increase side; and therefore, I think there won't be any great constituency for it. And I think it'll be a major campaign theme."

Obama Had Close Ties To A Top Saudi Adviser At An Early Age

(This story originally released on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008)

Evidence has emerged that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was closely associated as early as age 25 to a key adviser to a Saudi billionaire who had mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers.

In a videotaped interview this year on New York’s all news cable channel NY1, a prominent African-American businessman and political figure made the curious disclosures about Obama.

“I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him,” Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter.

“The friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas,” Sutton said. “He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me about Obama.”

Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obama’s application to Harvard Law School?

Sutton said he acted on his friend al-Mansour’s advice.

Although many Americans have never heard of Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (his full name), he is well known within the black community as a lawyer, an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an author, an international deal-maker, an educator, and an outspoken enemy of Israel.

In the 1960s, when he founded the African American Association in the San Francisco Bay area, he was known as Donald Warden.

According to the Social Activism Project at the University of California at Berkley, Warden, a.k.a. Khalid al-Mansour, was the mentor of Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his cohort, Bobby Seale.

But al-Mansour’s sponsorship of Obama as a prospective Harvard law student is important for another reason beyond his Islamic and anti-American rhetoric and early Black Panther ties.

At the time Percy Sutton, a former lawyer for Malcolm X and a former business partner of al-Mansour, says he was raising money for Obama’s graduate school education, al-Mansour was representing top members of the Saudi Royal family seeking to do business and exert influence in the United States.

Sutton gives no clues as to why al-Mansour would be raising money to help Obama go to law school. Obama has said during his campaign that he paid his way through Harvard with student loans.

Although al-Mansour glosses over his ties to the Saudi mega-billionaire in some of his public talks, he has represented the Saudi’s interests in the United States, in Britain, and in Africa for more than a quarter century, according to public records.

During the scan the K9 alerted positively to that odor which caused the deputy to search the vehicle. During the search the deputy located used needles with Heroin residue underneath the front seats. Also located were two smoking devices that had been used to smoke crack cocaine and still clearly contained the remnants of that drug.

Joshi was placed under arrest for Possession of Crack Cocaine and Heroin and was transported to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Joshi was released by the Commissioner on Personal Recognizance.

Charges: Possession of Heroin
Possession of Crack Cocaine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Nike Comes Through.... Again

Although there still remains speculation on how Tiger got his lips cut up the other nite....some say his lovely little wife did in fact take a 9 iron to his mug as a result of a domestic dispute over another woman.

Other are saying that he did a face plant into the steering wheel or windshield when he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, because he couldn't sleep that night thinking about the upcoming tourney he was hosting and the problems he has had driving it straight...so he was out practicing bare foot in his escalade!

But, NIKE has once again shown complete support for their prize athlete and have paid for reconstructive lip surgery.
