"Road Rage"

Talk about your road rage!I was perusing the national news online and not one,but TWO major stories involved idiots endangering themselves and other drivers because they cannot control their tempers.....Read on.

LINCOLN, Neb. - A driver who threw an axe at another motorist, wounding him, has been sentenced to 37 days in jail. The man, 51, was sentenced Friday in Lancaster County Court for third-degree assault and criminal mischief after pleading no contest to the charges.
Authorities said two vehicles were traveling near an intersection on June 13 and one cut in front of the other, prompting both vehicles to stop. The man threw a 3-foot axe through the other driver's passenger window, striking him in the ribs with the blunt end.

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - A 32-year-old man was booked and jailed for investigation of reckless endangerment and fourth-degree assault on Friday after allegedly throwing a wrench at another vehicle on a highway.
The tool broke a vehicle's driver's-side window, showering glass inside the vehicle, and struck the driver in his left shoulder on State Highway 16. The man driving the vehicle wasn't injured.
The State Patrol said investigators were unable to determine the reason for the assault.
Witnesses traveling westbound on the highway told troopers the man had been passing vehicles and traveling at a high rate of speed when he threw the wrench "for no apparent reason."
The man was arrested at his house.

Is Salisbury Fire Station II Closing?

I've been informed recently that Station II in Salisbury allegedly has some serious structural issues, bad enough Chief See & Deputy Chief Gordy are considering closing the building and relocating everyone to the new Fire Station 16.

Two years ago Mr. Trader strongly suggested to the Council that they should have ALL of the City's Buildings inspected yearly and the Mayor has refused to act upon this request. Isn't it convenient that all of a sudden they're done with Station 16 and I have been telling everyone for the longest time, they want to build a brand new Fire Station to replace Station II. I also told everyone that they also want to include a brand new Fire Station further north on Rt. 13 closer to the Mall.

When Firefighters asked, why don't we just build ONE new Fire Station further north on Rt. 13 and replace Station II, See & Gordy told them they didn't want to have their Volunteers subjected into traveling further to get to their Station. DUH! HELLO! What did you just do to ALL of the Volunteers with the new Fire Station 16, you Idiots?

Gordy came up with a new program called "The Hours People," some of which has come up in my previous Post in comments. Hours People are See & Gordy's way of cooking the books, so to speak. In other words, it's a way to get anyone to join the Fire Department without much experience or training. These people only have to put in 24 to 36 hours a month and have taken one training class. As for the Professional Firefighters AND many of the current Volunteers, it's a slap in the face. These people are pretty much useless and once they have put in their hours each month, you won't find them around, period.

It causes more problems than it's worth because they have no experience and when you're in the heat of the moment, these Professionals want to know they have someone covering their backs when lives are in danger. When I suggested earlier that See & Gordy are coking the books I meant that they are desperate for names to put on the roster.

I was 100% accurate in the past when I said NO ONE is joining at the new Fire Station and several have already left. Having "Hours People" in there keeps the Public, (YOU) from knowing I was right, yet you're still in questionable hands.

Let me explain why. Just recently See & Gordy rought in two newer Firefighters. One of them was thrown out of Parsonsburg for allegedly stealing a $400.00 Pager. Another one was caught ON VIDEO allegedly stealing a personally item from another Firefighter and was even seen on camera using a magic marker to write his own name on the inside of the item to claim it was his. ALL of this was caught on video. This is terms for an immediate dismissal. Remember Folks, these are the people going into your home when you're not there. If they'll steal from their own, they'll steal from you too.

OK, so if you think what you're reading so far is bad, there's lots more to go. Let's talk about response time. The response time for Station 16 to get to a call has actually gone through the roof. Although Gary Comegys likes to claim they're only 1,50 feet away from the old Station 16, response time is turning into a joke. Keep in mind, a Volunteer living in the Camden area, (as an example) now has to travel twice as far just to get to the Station. The they have to travel back into the City and their numbers have simply gone through the roof, but you're not going to hear about that.

Another major issue Station 16 is having is with the State of Maryland. NO, you won't read about this in the Daily Times. When the City gave the OK for the Fire Department to buy 4 new Fire Trucks, they did so under what is called a "508 Program." This is where the State matches a certain amount of funds to help purchase the equipment already on order.

OK, here's the deal. Because See & Gordy refused to file the requested reports, the State has now refused their money and the City could be on the hook for millions of dollars. Gordy has even had the ba{{s to request yet ANOTHER 4,000 gallon Tanker Truck on top of what they've already ordered. The fact that Gordy and See told everyone the equipment they wanted to surplus is unsafe, it was a lie. Other Fire Departments around the area are drooling and calling daily to find out how much they want for the 4 pieces they're replacing.

You see Folks, it's all about little boys wanting big toys, right Mr. Comegys. They don't care if they lie to you, they want what they want and they're going to do or say just about anything to get it.

As for the Station II situation. I suggest the relocate into the Old Fire Station 16 until they resolve their issues and the Taxpayers can afford to evaluate and finance a new location, should it even be necessary. No disrespect towards the fine men and women working there but this Country is BROKE! Comegys is making promises to these men and women he can't keep. Remember when he ran for City Council assuring pay increases to the Firefighters and then as son as he was elected they gave you NOTHING! Oh, perhaps that's wrong. A $10,000,000.00 Fire Station, which is really $14,000,000.00 but if the Daily Times keeps printing $10,000,000.00 and KNOWS they're lying and misleading people, it must be true, right?

You have also received new equipment as well as millions of dollars in new Fire Trucks. We have an election coming up Folks and hopefully you've read this entire Post. The games need to end and the liars need to GO!

Blast Away!

Bank of America SCAM

Goodmorning Joe! I received this fradulent email over the weekend. Bank of America confirms that it is fradulent. They said that one way to tell is that it is addressed to "valued customer" . Thought it might be worth putting it up to warn your readers, if you think it might be helpful.

BREAKING NEWS, MAYOR OF SALISBURY COVERS UP ANOTHER IMPORTANT ISSUE

Ladies & Gentlemen:

As you know, the new Fire Station 16 has been somewhat of a target for me as I knew Chief See, Deputy Chief Gordy, Mayor Tilgman and Gary Comegys were misleading the public in so many ways. Today I'm about to break some news to you in which you're just not going to believe.

At any moment now, the City will be CLOSING a portion of Isabella Street. You know where that Bridge is between Mill Street and Lake Street? They're shutting it down without ANY notice to the Public and this is a very serious matter.

No, it won't be closed for a week or two. We're talking MONTHS, if not a year! They have been peace mealing work on that Bridge for years and it has been deemed unstable and they're closing it down. How convenient they knew the Bridge had serious issues but now that the Fire Department is using it regularly, several times a day, it can't withold the weight.

Equipment and supplies are already being stored in the old Training area for the Fire Department. Here's the problem now. ANY time the main Rt. 50 Bridge is up, you will get NO service from Station 16, Ambulance or Police Department to the Church Street area or the East side of the Bridge.

The response time, (which has gone through the roof ever since they relocated anyway) with this Bridge being closed will now skyrocket. Now each and every one of you know for a fact that Comegys and Mayor Tilghman have known about this for MONTHS now, this is what you want with your next Mayor?

If Joe Albero can find out these FACTS and expose them to you, it has been covered up for quite some time and you're not hearing of any warning from the Daily Times or the rest of the MSM, yet this will change the lives of THOUSANDS of people working and living in that area. THEY DON'T CARE!

We demand the Mayor and Comegys go PUBLIC with this information and express it to those people depending on that route in their every day lives. Like Joe Albero or Salisbury News or not, we deliver information the Daily Times and others won't touch. We deliver news and information that is investigative, unlike other local sources who report what we've already broke.

If you think this is bad, (which it is) I will have additional Posts going up this morning that will also blow you away. Stay tuned Folks, it's going to be a big day here on SBYnews.com .

More to come..........

I have spoken with Public Works Director Jim Caldwell and he has informed me that a "Traffic Control Plan" will be submitted to the Council very soon in reference to traffic and closings. They will be installing new water and sewer lines across the Bridge area as well as some structural work on both sides of the culvert due to erosion. The City did award $2,600,000.00 for this project and a Contractor has been hired.

McCready Hospital Under Investigation For Medicare Fraud

McCready Hospital in Crisfield is under investigation for Medicare fraud. They have been accused of billing Medicare for Non-invasive vascular studies illegally for years. It is required that the hospital have a registered vascular technologist, or an accredited lab by JCAHO standards. They have NEVER had either one, and have continued to bill for these services. What a great disservice they are providing for their patients---huh? The ironic thing of it all-----the person in charge of the vascular dept has allegedly known and continued to do nothing about it.

How Many of You Can Pass the Test?

By now, most of you have heard about the President Elects unconventional questionnaire that is to accompany your resume should you be applying for a job with the new administration.

Questions such as:
# (59) Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used or whether it has been the cause of any personal injury or property damage.
or
# (14) Diaries: If you keep or have ever kept a diary that could suggest a conflict of interest or be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family or the President Elect, if it were made public, please describe.
or
# (10) Writings: Please list, and if readily available a copy of each book, article, column, or publication (including but not limited to any posts, or comments on blogs or other websites) you have authored individually or with others. Please list all of your aliases or 'handles' you have used to communicate on the internet.

Not to mention the questions that want you to list all debt that you or your spousce have incurred with all of your lines of credit including but not limited to all real estate that you may own.
For further review please see http://www.isra-pvf.com/obamaquestionnaire.pdf .
I would be really interested to see how many of you would be willing to provide the requested information to obtain a job with the new administration.
Please understand, while I certainly realize that many of these questions are important for national security, it has become clear that in order for run for the office of President, one is not vetted nearly so closely. As has become apparent with Mr. Ayers and Rev. Wright, the President Elect did not answer any such questions.

Do You Know Your Five Basic Constitutional Freedoms?

A recent study conducted by the First Amendment Center has found an alarmingly large number of American don't have clue about their Constitutional Freedom.

First the bad news ...No more than 3% of Americans had any idea that 'Petition' was one of the freedoms within the 1st Constitutional Right.

However the good news is, Freedom of Speech was remembered by 56% of the respondents.

15% remembered Freedom of Religion as well as Freedom of Press, yet only 14% new they had a Right to Assembly.

This survey has been conducted by the First Amendment Center for the last 11 years, and this year Freedom of Speech came in lower than it has since conducting the study.

What is most alarming in this years study is that 4 out of 10 people were unable to name any freedoms at all!

What exactly is happening in America, that young adults don't know these things?
Wasn't freedom of speech written on the hearts of all children studying American History?
Wasn't freedom of Assembly drilled into the baby boomers children's heads? What did they think marching on Washington was about? What about Freedom of Petition? How do they think anything has ever gotten done?

I find this incomprehensible, and am at loss for how this could have happened. I never want to hear another adult say that 'History is boring, I didn't do well in it" because apparently this is a feeling not just experienced by the few idiots whom I have heard say it.

History repeats itself. History is far from boring it tells of the past and is a written guide to our future.

If you have open lines of communication with young people ask them what they know about their rights and take few minutes to educate them on their Freedoms.

It is the most compelling information that one can ever possess.

I Love Salisbury Clean-Up

It was a cold & windy day on Sunday but that didn't stop a multitude of Volunteers from the Camden Community and Salisbury University Students from coming together for the good of the neighborhood. Letters went out to the neighborhood weeks in advance asking if they needed ANY help whatsoever around the home in which they couldn't accomplish on their own. Today this large group took to the streets and started cleaning up whatever anyone wanted or needed done for those who responded to the letters.

Some of the key people involved in driving this project today were Pat Gotham & Councilwoman Debbie Campbell. The key people that made this a true success was the 100+ SU Students who unconditionally took their times going from one home to another doing everything the Camden Residents asked.

Pride of Ownership in any community is very important and as we grow older certain projects become more difficult to accomplish. Without these wonderful Students, many of these homes would spend yet another year without proper maintenance and this attracts criminal activity.

How Will Salisbury Come Back

While people are coming out of the wood work to run for Mayor and no doubt we'll see more putting their name into the hat, including current Mayor Barrie Tilghman, the City is in major debt. Businesses are leaving much faster than they're opening and I don't care what the Chief of the SPD says, CRIME REPORTS ARE DOWN 4%.

So how can we afford to hire additional Police Officers and pay Public Works what they deserve? You MUST lower crime and encourage new businesses and taxes into the area.

Mayor Tilghman has done just the opposite and my guess is because they lied about the capacity available at the new WWTP and they're more interested in driving out Perdue and other major users of water and sewer in the City.

Barrie Tilghman can't hide it any longer. That new Waste Water Treatment Plant was supposed to be 100% on line months ago, yet the local MSM has conveniently ignored the lack of any ribbon cutting.

No one is going to be willing to open a business in an area with such high crime, it's not worth the risk. Our economic situation nation wide is not looking good and while I have spoken to numerous friends who are out of jobs, there's truly nothing worth while out there to replace their former positions.

Again, the Press isn't telling you the truth and exposing just how bad things are. Share your stories and or information about friends and business associates and how their job searching is coming along. At least here on the Blog you'll get the truth.

In the mean time, aggressive crime fighting is what's necessary to turn things around here. Gary Comegys asking citizens to get more involved is complete bulsh!t. It has been suggested that the SPD use "No Knock Warrants" to go after the drug dealers and serious criminals. A no knock warrant means once they receive the warrant the Police can simply go to the address and bust through the door without knocking. This has been done in Baltimore and New York City for years and it has proven to work.

One you've made your arrests you wait a day or two and go back to the same address and do it again. Then wait a week and do it again. Criminals quickly get the hint that the Police are NOT going to give in and you just keep doing this until the criminals take their business elsewhere or they all end up in Jail.

Now, we ALL know the SPD doesn't have the manpower to pull this off so one of the things I'll be looking for Mayoral wise is just how much they're going to support the Police Department, including such a Task Force. Gary Comegys and Barrie Tilghman have completely screwed up and haven't listened to taxpayers in the past by making Public Safety their #1 priority. Because of that, crime is a major issue and even Chief Webster's hands are tied. You can't say he hasn't asked for enough Staff to take on such a project.

Once you aggressively remove the criminals it's then up to our Judges to put these criminals in Jail so they don't get right back on the streets and start up business right away again. The positive outcome to all of this is that crime will drop like it did in NYC in the 80's and we'll watch businesses come back into our community raising the taxable income and we'll see less vacant real estate around the City. It's a win/win situation.

Let's see if our Candidates confront Chief Webster about such an aggressive program. Are there questions YOU would like to ask these Candidates? Are there solutions YOU have thought of that hasn't been considered by the current administration?

CIVICS 101 3rd GRADE

From a teacher in the Nashville area

We are worried about "the cow" when it is all about the "Ice Cream"

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year. The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president.

We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Every one applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium.

Her speech was concise. She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down. The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."

She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it. She didn't know. The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream.

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a land slide.

Every time Barack Obama opens his mouth he offers ice cream, fifty percent of the people react like nine year olds. They want ice cream. The other fifty percent know they're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess.

Media Monday - 081117

The Daily Times has now become its own worst enemy in their efforts to elect Barrie Comegys Mayor of Salisbury.  Good reporting by a seemingly competent reporter only highlights the ridiculous bias by one of their less-than-competent scribes.

Last Wednesday we were treated to Laura D'Alessandro sticking her byline on a Comegys press release.  We were told that Gary Comegys is for community policing and is going to be fiscally responsible.  I also voted for Barack Obama and his pal Wayne Gilchrest this year.

Sunday we were treated to a rare thing in the Daily Times - real political reporting.

Ben Penserga's piece on Jim Ireton's announcement of his candidacy was what all pieces on city politics should be.  It gave the facts.  It also tried to tell the whole story.

Rather than just give Ireton's point of view, it discussed Ireton's previous service on council and the fact that he only served 16 months.  This is valid information.

I don't know Penserga.  Perhaps he is new and his bosses haven't trained him in the joys of "he said - she said" journalism and printing press releases from Barrie Tilghman or her minions verbatim.  But while it lasts, Daily Times readers will begin to ask themselves:

"Why do we get facts when the paper writes about Mr. Ireton and articles on Barrie Comegys read like a PR piece?"

I think Joe (Carmean) and Erick (Sahler) need to either train Mr. Penserga fast or put another reporter on the beat.  Real journalism just won't do in the land of Barrie.

$25 Billion Auto Bailout

One commenter made a statement yesterday in which I agree with 100%. IF our Government gives the Auto Makers ANY money, DO NOT purchase an American made car again.

There is absolutely ONE way to show our Government WE do have some control over OUR money. Screw them, don't buy American cars and that will show those SOB's we're NOT going to take it any more.

Oh sure, there's going to be critics stating this suggestion will only screw ourselves but you know what, we're screwed any way. Our Government has no right using our own money to finance companies that screwed themselves.

Look, GM is claiming they're losing $2 billion a month right now. Come on Folks. How the hell, after 100+ years of manufacturing, can this company, who also sells a TON of financing, be in debt for some $2 Billion a month?

Oh, that's right, the VP probably got a $1 Billion SELL OUT when he resigned and YOU are going to pay for it.

Buy a Toyota, Honda or any other non American vehicle. After all, they're not built like sh!t like American cars and they'll last 250,00 miles in a heart beat.

Show your Government you're not going to take this crap any more and buy a Toyota or Honda and you'll be happier in the end anyway. Yes, I know most of them are assembled in America but they're NOT the ones asking for $25 Billion!
