BARR: Giuliani Is The Latest Victim Of Anti-Trump Prosecutors Exploiting Ambiguous Laws
The indictment and arrest of two U.S. businessmen of East European background is the newest development in the effort to weaken the president by attacking those close to him. In this case, it’s his personal lawyer, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
While there may be some arguable basis on which to charge the businessmen — Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman — with incompetent business transactions, the timing of the indictment — in the middle of the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment effort against Trump — makes it seem more than just coincidental.
Neither Parnas nor Fruman appears to possess the business acumen such that Trump would bring them into his inner circle of confidence. Their links to the Trump family appear to be nothing more than as political hangers on; and their relationship to Giuliani seem to consist largely of legitimate business dealings. Still, the fact that there are such relationships, no matter how tenuous, has provided ammunition for the media and Democratic Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff to draw direct connections that in less hyper-partisan times would have been considered out of bounds.

Two-year-old boy is shot in the stomach in 'cowardly and violent' road
A 2-year-old boy was shot in the stomach in a 'cowardly, violent, act' of road rage after his grandmother reportedly honked her horn at drivers stopped at a green light.
The boy remained in hospital on Monday as the suspected shooter, Javon Johnson, 33, was charged with attempted murder over the incident which happened in Baltimore in the early hours of Saturday morning, ABC News reported.
The toddler had been in a car driven by his grandmother and she had honked her horn at other drivers stopped at a green light. The vehicle had moved around stopped cars and had proceeded to go.

Illinois Strike Laws Prioritize Chicago Teachers Union Over Children
What gives the Chicago Teachers Union the power to strike – or threaten to strike – every time they don’t like a new contract proposal? How can the union maintain such a combative stance and get away with it? How can they strand Chicago families and children – the very people they are supposed to serve – at a whim?
One of the answers lies in the state’s collective bargaining rules. They are among the most anti-taxpayer labor laws in the country. Take strikes, for example. Illinois is the only state among its neighbors that enshrines teacher strikes in its collective bargaining laws. In contrast, strikes are illegal in Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky and Iowa.
In fact, Illinois is one of just 12 states nationally where teacher strikes are legal, according to the Center for Economic and Policy Research. Strikes in the other 38 states are illegal, either explicitly or because collective bargaining is outlawed to begin with.

Trump Stands between America and Tyranny
The movie Titanic had one really good scene. The ship had already swiped the iceberg. The behemoth continued sailing along and appeared to be doing just fine. But one person on the ship, Thomas Andrews, knew that it was doomed. Andrews was a naval architect who was in charge of the plans to build the ship.
After he tells the captain and some other key people on the ship that it is going to sink, they react in disbelief. One declares that the ship can't possibly sink.
Andrews responds, "She's made of iron, sir! I assure you she can. And she will. It is a mathematical certainty."
It's one of cinema's great scenes as men wrestle with approaching doom, made all the stronger by Victor Garber's superb performance. It's also the perfect metaphor for our current moment in history.

Kirwan’s Dreamworld
In a utopian world, there is plenty of money for everybody’s priorities. All public services can be funded, we can spend unlimited resources on education, and everything will be rainbows and ponies.
That’s not the real world, but it appears to be the world the Kirwan Commission lives in.
The funding workgroup of the Kirwan Commission released its funding recommendations today. They are clearly not based on any fiscal realities.
We’ve spoken ad nauseum about the state-level funding requirements. We’ve already noted that the working group stacked with tax-and-spend Democrats beholden to the Maryland State Education Association was already planting a budget bomb that would require a 10% increase in state spending and over $6,000 a year in new state taxes. But not being content with increasing state taxes, the working group has decided that county-level taxes aren’t high enough either based on the county-level funding requirements under the Kirwan recommendations.

The Only Thing America Has Agreed on Over the Past Three Years Is ‘James Comey is a Crook’ – And Now He’s a Joke
Before the 2016 election conservatives despised the corrupt former FBI Director James Comey for letting Hillary off the hook for her many crimes surrounding her emails, then liberals were outraged when Comey opened Hillary’s email investigation a few days before the 2016 election. A couple days later, conservatives were again outraged when Comey closed that investigation, again with no crimes. After Hillary’s loss, liberals were back, mad as hell at Comey.
James Comey has been hated by all sides at various times over the past few years. Liberals hated him after the Hillary loss, blaming him for her loss. A few days before the 2016 election, liberals were preparing to blame Comey for her demise. A writer at Markets Watch had this to say on November 2, 2016, a few days before the election –

SHOWTIME to Film Pilot for The President is Missing in Maryland
Political thriller based on bestselling novel will
star David Oyelowo
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan announced today that the premium cable network SHOWTIME will shoot the pilot episode for its potential new series The President is Missing in Maryland. The pilot is based on the 2018 novel by the same title, which tells the story of an American president and a secret, world-threatening crisis. Filming is expected to begin in the state in early 2020.
“We are thrilled that SHOWTIME will shoot the pilot for The President is Missing in Maryland, and we are hopeful that it will become another successful series for our state,” said Governor Hogan. “Maryland offers an outstanding destination for filming, with a highly-skilled crew base, talented actors, and a variety of locations that can easily double as our nation’s capital.”
If The President is Missing is selected to become a fullseries, the Maryland Film Office – an agency of the Maryland Department of Commerce – believes it could have a similar impact on Maryland’s economy as the Netflix series House of Cards. During its six seasons of production in Maryland, House of Cards had a total economic impact of $700 million, hired more than 2,000 Maryland residents per season, and utilized more than 2,000 Maryland businesses with purchases or rented goods/services per season.
Attorney General Frosh Continues Opposition to Federal Rule Restricting Asylum Access
BALTIMORE, MD (October 15, 2019) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today joined a multistate coalition in opposition to the Trump administration’s rule illegally limiting access to the asylum process. Under the rule, most individuals entering the United States at the southern border are no longer able to seek asylum, unless they applied for and were denied protection in at least one other country prior to their arrival. In an amicus brief, the attorneys general urge the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to uphold the District Court’s preliminary injunction that prevented the rule from going into effect.
“This rule essentially criminalizes those who seek asylum in the United States,” said Attorney General Frosh. “Its purpose seems to be to instill fear in those who are already fleeing violence and persecution.”
In the brief, the attorneys general argue that the rule significantly departs from core values enshrined in federal law and harms asylum-seekers and the states that welcome them. The rule forces asylum-seekers to go through what is likely a fruitless asylum process in another country before they are eligible for asylum in the United States. This unnecessarily subjects asylum-seekers to peril and trauma, and could encourage individuals and families to enter the United States undetected.

“What the Hell Is This?” Mark Levin GOES OFF on Corrupt Pelosi and Lying Schiff’s Impeachment Scam
Past Presidents were allowed to call witnesses and cross examine and investigate allegations in impeachment hearings. Not with Pelosi and Schiff in the House. Rights of the President and Americans be damned. We don’t even get to know who is accusing the President of wrongdoing! OUTRAGEOUS!!!
Mark Levin was eloquent and on fire last night on his show on FOX News ‘Life, Liberty, Levin”.
Past Presidents were given rights in past impeachment processes as Levin points out. Democrats have nothing so they have to have a kangaroo court where the President is not allowed to defend himself against false allegations.
WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO THE PRESIDENT’S ACCUSER IS NOR ARE WE GOING TO BE INFORMED WHO IT IS!!!

Felons Voting While In Prison In D.C.
Washington, D.C.’s council seems posed to let felons vote while they are still serving their sentences in prison. Surely, that has the benefit of ensuring that these individuals turn out to vote. But one claim made to push the change, that felon disenfranchisement is racist, is absurd.
Many states have had that rule as long as they have been states, and places such as Vermont in 1793 or later in North and South Dakota can hardly be claimed to have adopted these rules because of concerns about black voters.
Democrats used to argue that once felons had served their time, they had paid their debt to society and should be able to vote. Now, after Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) earlier this year argued for felons to vote while they are in prison, even for those who have committed the most horrible crimes, other Democrats have picked up the cause.

It's only $4.99. But Costco's rotisserie chicken comes at a huge price
At the back of Costco's stores, past the televisions, jewelry, jumbo-sized ketchup jugs and tubs of mixed nuts, is one of the retailer's most prized items: The rotisserie chicken that costs just $4.99.
Cheap Kirkland Signature rotisserie chickens aren't only a quick way for families to get dinner on the table. For Costco, the chickens are a lure, pulling customers into stores and getting them to browse the aisles, adding sometimes hundreds of dollars worth of items to their shopping carts before they pick up that bird.
The chickens have become almost a cult item. 91 million were sold last year, double the number from a decade earlier. They have their own Facebook page with nearly 13,000 followers.

Cities ban new drive-thrus to fight climate change
Drive-thru windows at fast-food restaurants, banks and other businesses have long represented the convenience for which American businesses are renowned. But the ease of idling in a vehicle while waiting for your order is now associated with another development: climate change.
As a result, some communities across the U.S. are banning drive-thrus, citing the additional carbon emissions that are released. Minneapolis this summer banned construction of new drive-thrus, while officials in Long Beach, California, have imposed a six-month ban on new drive-thrus while they study the issue. Similar ordinances restricting or prohibiting fast-food windows have also been adopted in communities including Creve Coeur, Missouri; Fair Haven, New Jersey; and Orchard Park, New York.
Minneapolis cited air pollution from idling vehicles as a major factor for the ban on drive-thrus, along with litter, noise and the potential of vehicles blocking sidewalks, which can increase the risk of a pedestrian accident. The order is part of the city's long-term plan, called Minneapolis 2040, which includes a goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050.

AH, YES... REMEMBER WHEN !!!!
Remember when Donald Trump was business partners with the Russian government and his company got $53 million from the Russian government investment fund called Rusnano that was started by Vladimir Putin and is referred to as "Putin's Child?”
Oh wait, that wasn't Trump; it was John Podesta.
Remember when Donald Trump received $500,000 for a speech in Moscow and paid for by Renaissance Capital, a company tied to Russian Intelligence Agencies?

Hillary Clinton Announces She Will Seek Reelection As President Of The United States
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Hillary Clinton has announced that after much debate she will seek reelection as president of the United States.
Pundits on MSNBC, CNN, and ABC News have long pondered whether Clinton would seek reelection or allow someone else to step in, and now she's made a definitive declaration.
"After much deliberation, consultation, and prayer to Moloch, I have decided that I will seek a second term," she said to a crowd gathered at a local Wendy's restaurant. "I feel I haven't accomplished everything I wanted to in my first term, and I really need a full eight years to implement my final solution to all of America's problems."

High schools in California will have mandated start times aimed at helping sleepy teens
By law, all high schools in California will soon start their days at a certain time — but it's not something kids will be groaning about. The new mandated start time benefits teens, who naturally like to sleep in. Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation that will require all high schools in the state to begin their days after 8:30 a.m., CBS Los Angeles reports.
The new law also requires middle schools to start after 8 a.m. It will go into affect for the 2022-2023 school year.
California is the first state in the country to mandate school start times — and there's a reason for doing so. Research studies have shown later start times help combat sleep deprivation in teens, who naturally fall asleep later than their parents would like, and improve academic success, attendance, mental health and cut sleep-related car accidents.

'He's not our boss': Fox News anchors trash Trump in meeting with advertisers
Multiple Fox News anchors were quick to disparage President Trump during a meeting with advertisers.
Some of the network's news hosts including Bret Baier, Martha MacCallum, and Chris Wallace addressed advertisers in Manhattan to assuage concerns that the president controls the network.

Recent rabid raccoon marks 16th rabies case in Worcester County
A rabid raccoon was captured last month at Decatur Farms, making this the 16th rabies case of 2019 in Worcester County.
The raccoon was caught in a trap on Sept. 28 on Schooner Lane in the Decatur Farms neighborhood off Route 113 in Berlin, according to the Berlin Police Department.
Angela Richardson, rabies program coordinator for the Worcester County Health Department, said 26 confirmed cases of rabies occurred in 2018, with10 reported situations in 2017 and 14 instances in 2016.
“This is similar to the pattern over the past several years,” Richardson said.
If wild animals, including a raccoon, skunk, fox, or feral cat, are “behaving in a threatening or obviously sick manner,” that could constitute a red flag, Richardson said.
Anyone who sees any rabid animal behavior in Berlin, or if a pet is involved in an altercation with an animal suspected of rabies, that person should call the town’s police department at 410-641-1333.

War: $2.3 million GOP anti-impeachment effort set
The Republican National Committee is greatly expanding its war on Democrats seeking impeachment, crossing the $2.3 million mark and turning its focus on the secret efforts by Rep. Adam Schiff to take President Trump down.
Party leaders told Secrets that they are adding $350,000 to the $2 million already spent to pressure over 30 House Democrats in key districts somewhat favorable to the president.
The multimedia spending will encourage Trump supporters to demand that Democrats brake their impeachment plans.

GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz ejected from closed-door impeachment meeting
A Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee was ejected from a closed-door impeachment hearing.
Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida tried to enter a hearing Monday in which lawmakers from three different committees are interviewing President Trump’s former top aide on Russia, Fiona Hill.
Gaetz said he believed he should be allowed to attend the hearing because impeachment inquiries traditionally are handled by the House Judiciary Committee, and he serves on that panel.
But the House parliamentarian told Gaetz he is not allowed to attend the hearing because he does not sit on either the Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, or Oversight panels, which are the official committees conducting the impeachment inquiry.

Where’s the whistleblower? Key GOP questions about Schiff’s contact may never be answered
House Republicans are eager to ask the whistleblower at the center of the impeachment inquiry a variety of questions about the scope and frequency of his contact with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff.
They also want to know about the California Democrat's role in orchestrating the complaint alleging President Trump sought Ukraine’s help investigating Joe Biden.
But it is appearing more likely Republicans will never have the chance to ask the whistleblower any questions at all about how closely he worked with Schiff’s team.

Devine: Democrats slap the faithful during LGBTQ town hall
Anyone wondering why religious people still support Donald Trump, despite his flaws, need only watch a recording of the Democrats’ fanatical LGBTQ town hall last week.
From Elizabeth Warren mocking religious males as incapable of finding a wife to Beto O’Rourke’s promise to strip tax benefits from religious institutions, or Cory Booker’s assertion that Catholics use religion to justify discrimination, you see the ugly face of militant secularism and coercion.
It is frightening that every one of the nine Democratic candidates who took part in the CNN event has signed up to extreme policies that attack religious liberty and radically redefine gender.

‘Bones Ground to Powder’: Xi Jinping Threatens Gruesome Death for Hong Kong, Taiwan
Chinese dictator Xi Jinping threatened anti-communist dissidents with a gruesome death in remarks Sunday during a visit to Nepal, warning that anyone defying China’s illegal territorial claims will have “their bodies smashed and bones ground to powder.”
Xi’s barbaric remarks follow the revelation that the Communist Party, under his orders, is razing ancient Uyghur cemeteries in western China and leaving sprawling empty lots full of broken shards of bones, the remains of those hastily exhumed in the process of destroying the graveyards.
Xi appeared to be directing his wrath towards “separatists” in Taiwan – a sovereign nation that Xi claims as a breakaway province – and Hong Kong, an autonomous region where Xi’s puppets have repeatedly attempted to break the law to impose Communist Party dogma.

Dems Decimated in Louisiana: GOP Gains Senate Supermajority, Dem Governor Now on the Ropes
In Louisiana's Saturday election, Republicans had a lot to cheer about. Among statewide office-holders, the incumbent GOP Lieutenant Governor (68 percent), Attorney General (66 percent), Treasurer (60 percent, and Agricultural Commissioner (58 percent) were all re-elected without the need for a run-off, under the state's 'jungle primary'-style system. It also appears that the solid Republican majorities in both state legislative chambers will remain intact -- with the GOP expanding its Senate advantage into super-majority territory by picking up a pair of Democratic seats:
Two major statewide races are headed to run-offs, and both are looking pretty good for Team Red. The incumbent Republican Secretary of State won a plurality of the vote, but didn't reach the bare majority threshold required to stave off the two-way election, scheduled for November 16. The Democrat in the contest only won about one-third of all votes, but because two other Republican challengers were in the mix -- combining for roughly 25 percent of the aggregate vote -- the sitting officeholder was held under 50 percent. All in, the trio of GOP candidates won 66 percent of the ballots for this office. This is going to be a Republican hold. Then there's the big one: The gubernatorial race. Democratic incumbent John Bel Edwards, a pro-life moderate, was unable to avoid a runoff, attracting just 46.6 percent of the 'jungle primary' vote. The two leading Republicans in the contest racked up 51 percent of the vote, with the top GOP vote-getter, businessman Eddie Rispone, advancing to directly challenge the governor in November. Those are ominous tea leaves for Gov. Edwards, underscored by this trend:

The New York Times smears Tulsi Gabbard as an alt-right Russian stooge
Tulsi Gabbard is a progressive, Samoan American woman, and Democratic candidate for president. But apparently we’re supposed to believe she’s also a Russian stooge and alt-right figurehead.
On Oct. 12, the New York Times published an absurd hit piece — as a “news” article, not opinion — lambasting Gabbard and grossly distorting her candidacy. It’s apparent from the incredulous, not objective headline: “What, Exactly, Is Tulsi Gabbard Up To?” and the subhead of the article, which reads: “As she injects chaos into the 2020 Democratic primary by accusing her own party of ‘rigging’ the election, an array of alt-right internet stars, white nationalists and Russians have praised her.”
Woah. We’re not even 100 words in, and the Times is already linking Gabbard, a woman of color, to Nazis and Russia?!?
