Beto O'Rourke wrote poem asking cow to 'wax my ass' and 'scrub my balls'

Beto O'Rourke's youthful artistic experiments included a poem pleading for genital grooming and a sacred cow to lactate, according to newly unearthed documents.
At age 16 in 1988, under the pseudonym - "Psychedelic Warlord" - O'Rourke, now 46, authored "The Song of the Cow" — a bizarre piece of experimental writing that included lines asking for a cow to "buff" and "scrub my balls."
An excerpt of the poem can be viewed below:
I need a butt-shine,
Right now
You are holy,
Oh, sacred Cow
I thirst for you,
Provide Milk.

Young Beto O'Rourke wrote 'murder fantasy' about running over children, was part of famed hacking group: report

A 15-year-old Beto O’Rourke once wrote a "murder fantasy" short story about running over two children with a car, according to a new report that also revealed the now-presidential candidate was a member of a famous hacking group.

The details were uncovered in a Reuters report on the “Cult of the Dead Cow,” a famous group of hackers credited with inventing the term “hacktivism.” Reuters revealed that O'Rourke, who joined the Democratic presidential primary race on Thursday, was a member, while reporting, "there is no indication that O’Rourke ever engaged in the edgiest sorts of hacking activity, such as breaking into computers."

But the report also revealed that teenage Beto, in connection with the group, wrote stories under the name “Psychedelic Warlord” -- writings that remain online.

Gregg Jarrett: ‘Deep State’ Proves ‘Americans Should Be Afraid of Their Government’

Fox News Channel legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, author of The Russia Hoax: The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump, told Breitbart News that political and partisan corruption at the Department of Justice and FBI prove that “Americans should be afraid of their government,” offering his comments in a Wednesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

The narrative of “collusion” between President Donald Trump and the Russian state was manufactured by “the swamp” in order to protect the powers of its people, said Jarrett.

“The swamp needs to be drained,” Jarrett declared. “By the way, that was the motivation behind this collusion hoax. The swamp, which had been in control the last eight years under the Obama administration, viewed Trump as a threat. He threatened to drain the swamp and the swamp didn’t want to be drained. There’s nothing in Washington that will motivate you more than the threat of losing power, and that’s why they cleared Hillary Clinton in this scheme and sought to frame Donald Trump.”

AOC’s Senior Advisor: Democracy Should Mean Taking People’s Money and Power Away

Former senior campaign advisor to socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is redefining "democracy" as government officials stealing money from some and giving it to others.

In other words: justified government theft.

The statement came during a segment on MSNBC about the 2020 Democrat presidential field, which continues to grow.

Meanwhile, during an interview at the South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas last week, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez declared America is "garbage" and said capitalism is irredeemable.

Medal of Honor for Soldier Killed Taking Out Suicide Bomber in Iraq

An Army infantryman who gave his life to shield other soldiers from an insurgent strapped with a bomb will receive the Medal of Honor on March 27, the White House announced Tuesday.

Staff Sgt. Travis W. Atkins, an infantryman belonging to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, out of Fort Drum, New York, was killed June 1, 2007, while deployed to Iraq.

Atkins was previously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the Army's second-highest award for valor. This award represents an upgrade.

According to his earlier medal citation, Atkins had been conducting route security in the town of Abu Sarnak, Iraq, when he apprehended a group of suspected insurgents and began to search them. One of the insurgents resisted, charging Atkins, who grappled with him in hand-to-hand combat.

Former Obama Officials Ordered By Judge To Answer Questions Over Clinton Emails

A federal judge ordered multiple senior Obama Administration officials, State Department officials and former Hillary Clinton aides Thursday to provide answers under oath to questions requested by Judicial Watch after a roughly four year court battle.

Judicial Watch, a leading conservative non-profit watchdog group, announced the schedule of depositions in their case in a press release Thursday. The Judicial Watch questions regard two separate cases regarding the Obama administration’s actions during the Benghazi terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate and CIA Annex in Libya, and Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server to send classified government emails.

“Judicial Watch is doing the heavy lifting on the ongoing Clinton email scandal, even as Congress dropped the ball and DOJ and State continued to obstruct our quest for the truth,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, in a press release Thursday. “The Court in our case wants real answers on the Clinton email scandal which is why our request for basic discovery was granted.”

Laura Ainsworth: FOLLOW-UP on "The Brains Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez"

As of this writing (the wee hours of Friday morning), “The Brains Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” by “Mr. Reagan,” was up to almost 1.5 million views after being posted for about a week. I’d like to think I had a hand in some of that.

Here’s more about the organization called Justice Democrats, which was behind the “casting” of AOC to be the new representative for the 14th Congressional District, covering parts of New York City. For those not yet convinced that Mr. Reagan’s claim is more than a wild conspiracy theory, here’s an article in which the head of Justice Democrats boasts of their plan to do just what he was talking about –- on a large scale across the country. Of course, she doesn’t refer to AOC as a “puppet,” but in the interview it becomes clear that all the new faces they select will, in effect, function that way.

The interview appeared at ELLE.com, so no one should be surprised that the slant is NOT “Oh, no! Look what radical leftists are trying to do to game the system and take over the government!” It’s more like, “Oh, wow!! Look what our wonderful friends, the progressives at Justice Democrats, are doing to try to game the system and take over the government! You go, Justice Democrats!!”

Tucker Hammers Chelsea Clinton, Links Her to College Admission Scandals

The recent college admissions scandal confirmed what everyone already knew about colleges and universities: The mediocre children of rich and powerful people like the Clintons get a free pass.

A federal affidavit that was made public Tuesday revealed a huge scandal in which wealthy parents spent as much as $75,000 to cheat their students into prestigious colleges and universities, according to the Associated Press.

Parents such as actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman paid Edge College & Career Network, also known as The Key, to take the ACT or SAT at a private test center, where answers were provided or corrected.

Christopher Steele admitted using posts by 'random individuals' on CNN website to back up Trump dossier

Former British spy Christopher Steele admitted that he relied on an unverified report on a CNN website for part of the "Trump dossier," which was used as a basis for the FBI's investigation into Trump.

According to deposition transcripts released this week, Steele said last year he used a 2009 report he found on CNN's iReport website and said he wasn't aware that submissions to that site are posted by members of the public and are not checked for accuracy.

A web archive from July 29, 2009 shows that CNN described the site in this manner: “iReport.com is a user-generated site. That means the stories submitted by users are not edited, fact-checked, or screened before they post.”

SUSPECT IN KAVANAUGH CONFIRMATION DOXXING HAS FEINSTEIN TIES, ALLEGEDLY POSSESSED SENATE DATA. DOJ MAY HIDE THE DETAILS

  • The former Senate aide accused of doxxing Republicans during Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing allegedly possessed troves of information, including Senate data, court proceedings indicate.
  • The suspect is the son of a wealthy family with ties to Dianne Feinstein, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s top Democrat. Republicans suggested she timed a leak about sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh to harm his confirmation chances.
  • The court barred the media from hearing details about the alleged breach, and now a plea deal that could prevent the truth from ever emerging appears to be in the works.
A former Senate aide charged with doxxing Republican senators and extorting a witness comes from an elite family with ties to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee.

Prosecutors signaled Tuesday that they might give the aide, Jackson Cosko, a plea deal that would prevent the facts of the case from ever being learned publicly.

During Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s September 2018 confirmation hearing, Cosko — a former IT aide who once managed Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan’s office computer accounts — allegedly posted to Wikipedia the home addresses of Republican senators who supported the Supreme Court justice.

Grade-Changing Scandal: Judge Orders Baltimore City Schools To Release Documents

A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge has demanded Baltimore City Public Schools to hand over all documents Fox45 requested after Project Baltimore filed a lawsuit against the school system to get documents they believed would provide bombshell evidence of a massive grade-changing scandal.
“When I saw the ruling, I was elated because I believe in accountability, and government cannot run amuck,” says Scott Marder, of Thomas & Libowitz, the attorney who represented Fox45 in this lawsuit.
Zerohedge readers have been well informed about Project Baltimore's mission to uncover one of the largest grade-changing scandals possibly in the country.

The story broke several years ago but has not gained national attention, yet. It all started when Project Baltimore investigated possible grade changing at Northwood Appold Community Academy II, in northeast Baltimore, in August of 2017. Baltimore City Public Schools responded with an internal investigation and found Project Baltimore's allegations were inconclusive.

So, Project Baltimore, with probably the backing of the Smith family, the family who controls Sinclair Broadcast Group/Fox45 and has tens of millions of dollars invested in the city, sued the school system and won.

North Carolina County Declares ‘Gun Sanctuary’ Status

The resolution declaring “Gun Sanctuary” was posted on Facebook by Cherokee County Commissioner CB McKinnon. It explains that Second Amendment rights are one of many natural rights on which the Constitution of our Republic stands.

The resolution says, “Natural Law Rights, given to each of us by Our Creator, are the basis of our Constitution by which they are protected and secured to each of us. Natural Law Rights, including that of self-protection, are guaranteed by our Laws, our History, and our Traditions.”

The terrorist gunman who killed 49 Muslims at a mosque in New Zealand said in his own manifesto that he wanted “no part of” conservatism, describing himself as an “eco-fascist” and expressing admiration for Communist China.

Answering the question “Were/are you a conservative?”, Brenton Tarrant wrote, “No, conservatism is corporatism in disguise, “I want no part of it.”

“Conservatism is dead, thank god,” he also wrote, bemoaning the fact that conservatives did not see everything through the lens of race.

Describing the arc of his political journey, the killer said, “When I was young I was a communist, then an anarchist and finally a libertarian before coming to be an eco-fascist.”

What if Trump loses in 2020

Over a year ago, my wife Mary and I moved from Florida to a tiny town in the hills of West Virginia to be closer to our ailing parents; population 500. There are five churches in town. I enjoyed the town's patriotic July 4th parade and their faith-based Christmas parade.

I walk half a mile daily to the post office. On one occasion, I entered while the postmaster was on the phone talking to a town local. The postmaster told the person every item in their mailbox. Chuckling, I said, "People call to see what mail they've received?" The smiling postmaster replied, "She didn't feel like coming out in the snow. She asked me to tell her everything in her mailbox in case there was something important." I thought, how small town is that?

Trump signs are still displayed in a few yards. I suspect most residents voted for Trump.

There are less than 10 blacks, including myself, who live in our town. I have not experienced any of the rabid racism Democrats, Hollywood and fake news media claim I should fear living around Trump supporters.

Quite the opposite. Unofficial town ambassador elderly gentleman Charlie and his buddy George stopped by to welcome my white wife and me to town. Neighbor, Peggy, brought us a homemade apple pie she purchased at a community event. Ron gifted us corn from his garden. Big Butch and his buddies helped me relocate a shed in my backyard. Randy promised to bring me venison during deer hunting season. Two ladies from a church delivered us a "welcome basket" of goodies.

My neighbors are ordinary Americans who saw the horrible direction our country was going. They know Trump is good for America. Their loyal support for him is no more complicated than that. Democrats and their minion's relentless efforts to brand Trump voters racist-haters is truly despicable, irresponsible and divisive. Democrats and their leftist operatives are purposely generating racial hatred and violence against anyone caught wearing a MAGA cap.

Yeah, There Was Election Meddling From The FBI/DOJ During The 2016 Election

Well, well, well…all of our suspicions have been confirmed about how the FBI handled the Hillary Clinton email probe, one of two highly sensitive investigations in which disgraced former FBI Agent Peter Strzok was involved. Strzok was a counterintelligence agent with the bureau before being demoted to human resources once his extramarital affair with Lisa Page, a former FBI lawyer, was revealed two years ago. During the 2016 election, the two sent tens of thousands of texts, most were anti-Trump, which displayed gross unprofessionalism and added to the accusations that deep state antics were targeting Donald Trump and later his administration post-2016.

The two texts that caught the eye of everyone was one where the two had a meeting with then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe on August 15, 2016, where Strzok and Page discussed an “insurance policy” against a Trump presidency. And another where he said they would stop Trump. Strzok also signed off on the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign and Russian collusion in July of 2016 that’s now being headed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Katie wrote today that the FBI found zero evidence of Trump-Russia collusion. The two also discussed worries about whether the bureau was going too hard on Clinton during the email probe. Well, did they pull punches? It appears that they did. The Obama DOJ ordered the FBI to do so (via Fox News) [emphasis mine]:

After rocket attack on Tel Aviv, Israel goes off . . . pummels more than 100 Hamas targets

As we’ve told you before, the Israelis don’t play.

They don’t worry about being “proportionate,” and they don’t really care if they’re going to be condemned by the UN or Ilhan Omar. What Hamas and more powerful forces in the region (ahem, Iran) want is nothing less than the complete and permanent destruction of Israel.

So when Hamas decides to fire rockets at Tel Aviv, Israel’s only move is to make sure Hamas comes away from the experience thinking, “Oh ****, that was a bad idea.”

How do you do that? Go big:
Israeli warplanes on Friday struck some 100 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in response to a rare rocket attack on the Israeli metropolis of Tel Aviv. Rocket fire persisted throughout the morning, setting the stage for additional possible reprisals.

More than 13,000 on track to lose Medicaid in Arkansas because of new work requirements

More than 13,000 people on Medicaid in Arkansas failed to report whether they had worked in February, according to figures provided Friday by the state, putting them on track to lose coverage under the new work requirements.

Arkansas has work requirements that mandate that people work, take classes, or volunteer at least 80 hours a month to be allowed to stay in Medicaid, a government-funded program that provides medical coverage to poor people. Advocates for people who were kicked off Medicaid have challenged the rules in court, and they may be put on hold by a federal judge later this month.

Senator Addie Eckardt, District 37 Weekly Wrap-Up March 15, 2019

This Week In Annapolis

This week, the Senate went into multiple sessions per day, coming in early and staying late to try to get as many good bills through the Senate and over to the House by Monday, the cross-over date. In order for a bill to become law, it has to pass through both the Senate and the House of Delegates as well as be approved by and signed by the Governor.

On Saturday, March 9th, I presented seven organizations to the Senate Capital Budget and House Appropriations Committees as contenders to receive capital bond funds for their projects. Thank you to the following organizations for your work in District 37 and for coming to Annapolis to present:
  • Academy Art Museum Inc. for the Academy Art Museum HVAC Systems
  • American Legion Blake-Blackston Post #77 for the American Legion Post #77 “Building to Serve”
  • Delmarva Community Services, Inc. for the Chesapeake Grove Senior Housing and Intergenerational Center

The God that Failed...Over and Over Again

Why do so many of our university professors argue that socialism is a better way to peace and prosperity than capitalism? Because it is, to them, an article of faith. To admit that socialism has failed -- repeatedly, consistently and abysmally -- for over a century would be, for them, to deny their god.

Theirs are the eyes of faith that cannot see.

Venezuela, once one of the wealthiest countries in Latin American, is now on the brink of economic collapse and political anarchy after two decades of Chavez/Maduro socialism.

Cuba has languished under the Communist Party of Fidel and Raul Castro, who promised free and open elections when they came to power. Sixty years later, Cubans are still waiting.

The Soviets tried for 74 years to build a socialist workers’ paradise, killing millions in the process. Their empire wound up on the ash heap of history, so broke that President Mikhail Gorbachev had to borrow a pen to sign the document dissolving the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

7 Reasons Why the Equality Act Is Anything But

Most Americans don’t want a nationwide bathroom requirement, health care mandate, or “preferred pronoun” law based on gender identity, but congressional Democrats seem to think it’s time to impose them.

Nancy Pelosi delivered Wednesday on her promise to introduce the so-called Equality Act, which would elevate sexual orientation and gender identity to protected classes in federal anti-discrimination law.

Although that may sound nice in theory, in practice sexual orientation and gender identity policies at the state and local level have caused profound harms to Americans from all walks of life.

How might a sexual orientation and gender identity law on the federal level, as introduced in the House and Senate, affect you and your community? Here are seven ways:

GUN CONTROLLERS DON’T REALLY WANT THAT ‘CONVERSATION’

Time and again, we hear from those advocating for more gun control laws who intone with a sense of moral superiority that we need to have a “conversation” on guns. The goal, they say, is to reduce violence, suggesting that they are somehow more evolved.

Yet, just this week, some anti-gun activists and politicians were caught red-handed fantasizing about wanting to shoot politicians and gun rights advocates as well as suggesting the “doxing,” or publicly posting private information, on gun owners.

In one instance, a woman attending the Connecticut General Assembly’s Joint Committee on the Judiciary hearing on several gun control bills, was photographed texting a threat against Republican state Sen. Rob Sampson and NRA members.

“If I had a gun, I’d blow away Sampson and a large group of NRA,” a photo of the text message reads. The anti-gun activist was escorted from the hearing. Later, Sampson said that wasn’t the first time he’s been threatened with violence for standing up for the Constitutional rights of Connecticut citizens. No charges were filed against the woman.

JEWISH ACTIVISTS PROTEST AT PELOSI’S OFFICE OVER ANTI-HATE RESOLUTION

The House decided to vote on a resolution last week to condemn anti-Semitism in response to Omar’s comments.

After deliberation, the text of the resolution was expanded to condemn bigotry against “African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other people of color, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, the LGBTQ community, immigrants and others,” without specifically naming Omar

DOJ reached agreement with Clinton lawyers to block FBI access to Clinton Foundation emails, Strzok says

The Justice Department "negotiated" an agreement with Hillary Clinton's legal team that ensured the FBI did not have access to emails on her private servers relating to the Clinton Foundation, former FBI special agent Peter Strzok testified during a closed-door appearance before the House Judiciary Committee last summer, according to a newly released transcript.

Republicans late last year renewed their efforts to probe the Clinton Foundation, after tax documents showed a plunge in its incoming donations after Clinton’s 2016 presidential election. The numbers fueled longstanding allegations of possible “pay-to-play” transactions at the organization, amid a Justice Department probe covering foundation issues.

Under questioning from Judiciary Committee General Counsel Zachary Somers, Strzok acknowledged that Clinton's private personal email servers contained a mixture of emails related to the Clinton Foundation, her work as secretary of state and other matters.

After an investigation, police have determined that Chicas was killed inside of a home located in the 7000 block of Varnum Street in Landover Hills, Md. in Prince George's County. Police say his remains were then driven to Stafford County.

Ohio ‘heartbeat’ abortion ban passes Senate as governor vows to sign it

The Republican-led Ohio Senate passed the so-called ‘heartbeat’ bill Wednesday that would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can be as early as six weeks into pregnancy.

It would be among the most restrictive abortion measures in the country. Critics of the bill claim many women do not know they are pregnant at the six-week mark.

The 19-13 vote sends Senate Bill 23 to the Republican-controlled House. GOP Gov. Mike DeWine has indicated he’d sign the ban into law.

The bill's sponsor, State Sen. Kristina Roegner, said using the existence of a fetal heartbeat as the defining line is clearer than determining the fate of a fetus based on its growth outside the womb, a marker established in court precedent. Roegner said viability can vary depending on the technology available and the medical care.

DHS boss Kirstjen Nielsen has 'fear' for democracy over Congress efforts to block wall emergency

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said her agency's job is to enforce the law and rebuked Congress for the resolution targeting President Trump's border emergency declaration.

"I really fear for our democracy when the body who creates the laws is telling the body who enforces the law, 'Just don't enforce the law,'" Nielsen told "Fox and Friends" in an interview that aired Thursday. "If they don't like the law, they should change it."

Nielsen's comments came ahead of the Senate approving a House-passed resolution Thursday afternoon stopping Trump's national emergency declaration that redirects billions of dollars in funds for the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Trump has already communicated his intent to veto the resolution, which would be the first veto of his presidency.

Ilhan Omar Says Police Shouldn’t Exist After Learning Some Cops are Jewish

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Freshman congressman are often surprised by what they see when they get to D.C. compared to their idealized abilities to get in there and “make changes” but the political shoe is on the other proverbial foot now that Congress itself is getting shocked by the freshman congresswomen arriving on Capitol Hill like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and now Ilhan Omar, a House Representative from Minnesota’s 5th congressional district.

Omar has been quite the lightening rod for negative attention with comments in the past about the Jewish people and a new situation coming to light is definitely not going to calm things down! On Thursday, as the throngs of press tried getting answers from Omar as she left her office, some of them got a little too close for comfort and that’s when Capitol Police Officer J. Bernstein stepped in to protect the congresswoman.

Omar turned to thank the Officer and noted his name badge and inquired as to his background. Officer Bernstein was happy to talk with Omar because like her, his family came to the United States for a better life in 1995. However, when she saw the yarmulke atop Bernsteins head, her visage changed and she abruptly ended the conversation.

Raising the Minimum Wage Would be a Mistake—Especially for the Next Generation

One of the policy priorities fielded by Maryland’s progressive-dominated legislature is a plan to raise the statewide minimum wage to $15/hour in the next few years. It is a radical plan that would strip all exemptions out of law and require this standard of every employer from Hagerstown to Waldorf and from Havre de Grace to Ocean City.

The proposed law has already been criticized from several angles—there are the arguments made by professional economists that higher minimum wages effectively outlaw low-margin profitability, the moral case that this law would criminalize mutually beneficial behavior between consenting Marylanders, and the observation that this scheme comes directly from the Baltimore Mayor’s office out of concern that a higher minimum wage in the city would cause people and businesses to leave Baltimore, but that a statewide law would get the job done. Apparently, the idea that most Marylanders could want to leave the state is just unthinkable.

But I’d like to talk about one angle in particular: this experiment would eliminate any exemption for teenagers. This seems to betray the entire professed rationale for the minimum wage. We often hear activists compare their next minimum wage explained as a “livable wage,” alongside figures about monthly rent and food. They ask us how anyone can be expected to live on less than that.

New Mexico compound was alleged terrorist training camp to kill US officers

Ibn Wahhaj’s 3-year-old son was also found dead on the property. The members of the group are accused of kidnapping the child, who had severe health problems and later died.

CONFIRMED: Obama’s CIA, DOJ and FBI Started Targeting the Trump Campaign in 2015 – Long Before What Comey Claimed (July 2016)!

The pieces of the coup to undermine the Constitution of the United States of America are coming undone. Evidence from various sources now confirms that Obama’s CIA, DOJ and FBI illegally spied on the Trump team starting in 2015 and then built a coup to prevent him from winning the election and later remove him from office!

As we reported on June 4, 2018, the US Senate released over 500 pages of information related to the Spygate scandal. Hidden in the information were unredacted Strzok – Page texts that show the FBI initiated actions to insert multiple spies in the Trump campaign in December 2015.

We reported that according to far left LA Times, Comey stated in March of 2017 under oath that the FBI investigation into the Trump – Russia scandal started in July 2016. Now we know without a doubt that Comey lied about this.

A text message released by the US Senate showed words that were redacted when the FBI released the same texts long ago. The texts show evidence of collusion and wrongdoing by Obama’s FBI.

It was brought by Kurt Ostrow, an English teacher at B.M.C. Durfee, the public high school of Fall River.

“Our students are demonstrating leadership and passion when it comes to tackling the issue of climate change, and they deserve our full support,” Ostrow said, according to a written statement from the union. “We cannot teach on a dead planet.”

Police Respond To Report Of Possible Grenade In Dorchester County

(HURLOCK, Md.) Maryland State Police responded to the scene of a possible grenade located outside of a vacant home in Dorchester County today.

At approximately 2:45 p.m. this afternoon, troopers from the Easton Barrack responded to a vacant home in the 4700 block of Skeet Club Road in Hurlock after receiving a 9-1-1 call reporting the presence of a possible grenade near the home. The emergency phone call came from a home inspector working an inspection on the vacant residence. The item that appeared to be the possible grenade was found near the carport of the home.

State police immediately closed the roadway and secured a perimeter around the house. Nearby residences were evacuated and a reverse 9-1-1 call was implemented to alert citizens to remain inside their homes. The Maryland State Board of Education along with Delmarva Power were notified of the incident.

A bomb technician from the Office of the State Fire Marshal also responded to the scene and conducted diagnostic testing. It was determined the possible grenade was inactive and made of a plastic material, like that of a toy. Subsequently, a second reverse 9-1-1 call was made around 4:00 p.m. to alert citizens the incident had ended and that no one in the area was in any danger.

Twelve Senate Republicans Voted for Ending Trump’s National Emergency

Twelve Senate Republicans voted in favor of a Democrat resolution to end President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration.

The Senate passed a resolution on Thursday to end the president’s national emergency resolution. The bill passed through the Senate as well as the House; however, both times the resolution did not receive enough votes to override a presidential veto.

President Trump has already threatened to veto the legislation.

Although most Senate Republicans voted with the president and affirmed both his constitutional authority and his initiative to secure America’s southern border through a national emergency declaration, twelve Republicans decided to join Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to end the national emergency.

The twelve Senate Republicans who voted with Democrats to end the national emergency include:
  1. Rand Paul (R-KY)
  2. Mike Lee (R-UT)
  3. Susan Collins (R-ME)
  4. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
  5. Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
  6. Mitt Romney (R-UT)
  7. Jerry Moran (R-KS)
  8. Pat Toomey (R-PA)
  9. Rob Portman (R-OH)
