The Delaware House of Representatives recently passed a bill that would give the state’s Electoral College votes to the candidate who wins the popular vote.
The measure passed the Delaware House last week by a vote of 24-17 to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
John Carney, the Democrat Governor of Delaware has already signaled he would sign the bill once it reaches his desk.
Delaware joins the 12 other states along with the District of Columbia (3 EC votes) to join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
“We’re already overlooked,” Rep. David Bentz, the sponsor of the bill said, according to WHYY “Delaware is seen as this true blue state. And if you’re a Republican voter what is your motivation to vote? Because you know at the end of the day Delaware’s three electoral votes will go to that Democrat. If you’re a Democrat maybe you’re not motivated either because you know you don’t have to.”

Delaware citizens your votes for national elections are now controlled by the rest of the country. The way I see it Delawareans need not vote in Presidential elections anymore. Your EC votes will go to the popular vote winner. Therefore your votes won't even be counted till the rest of the nation has voted and we see who has the popular vote, then your EC votes will go to that person. It's as clear as swamp mud!!
