This was a brilliant commencement speech. I've graduated from SU a couple of times and never had a speech at either graduation that was so inspiring. Why doesn't SU get good commencement speakers like this? Too political? I watched the speech twice and he only mentioned politics in passing a couple times but his whole speech was about the graduates and their families. Something I've never seen in an SU speech even when going to see friends graduate. Graduates spend a lot of time and hard work to get to that day. The day is not about personal politics of an administrative staff whose there at the pleasure of people paying their tuitions. Maybe this is something they should remember when booking their speakers.
