  4. Cant play in the water ways any more...their full of pollution and dangerous toxins, hidden guns and drugs. Cant play in the neighborhood woods, to many homeless camps, dope users, robbers and rapist. Cant play in the streets...gang bangers n kidnappers. The pic on the right arent texting each other...their at a truck stop in cali, the new legal escort service...their texting customers.

  5. Parents need to set rules by example, and put their own phones down. Don't blame the kids.

I meet my grands at bus drop off after school. Every "Mommy" there has a phone to her ear or her head is bent down. My head might be bent also, but it is because I am reading a book. That book immediately goes in my purse when bus pulls up. But the "Mommy's still keep yakking on the phone or texting. "Mommy's actions are/will be the actions of their kids. So don't blame the kids

  6. I swam in Johnson's lake, Schumaker Pond, Nature Trails, etc. If there was water there, I was in it! Very found memories indeed.

  7. Oh yeah! When we were kids we explored morning to evening. Mom called us with a shrill whistle. My brothers and I hitchhiked to the county fair and I was the oldest at 13 with the youngest at 8. We cashed in pop bottles for change. Ahhhh, the good old days.

  8. I remember making clay shoes from driveway puddles after a summer shower. Practically lived outside in those days.

  11. I agree we had the best of times just entertaining ourselves with whatever was available, fun didn't cost anything then either.

  12. I guess I am considered as getting old now. Don't feel that way in my head. Still young at heart. When my son was younger, sent him out to play in the the big backyard after a rain. Out there with a big dog, playing in the mud, took his diaper off himself, running around half naked through the mud with the dog and having a great time. I remember he had a big smile across his face and laughing as he was running through the mud half naked with the dog. I knew where he was, and occasionally looked out the window to check on him. I feel sorry for the young people now. Where is the joy of simply having fun, not connected to some electronic devise. We played hind and seek almost every night. 50 kids on the block. My brother was always it because he always hid in the same tree. Those were fun times.
