Frail, drowsy Hillary a preview of '3 a.m.' alertness?
A noticeably drowsy and frail-looking Hillary Clinton addressed the media aboard her campaign plane Saturday evening, and it raises new questions about whether she’d be prepared for that “3 a.m. call” as she claimed in 2008.
Clinton — low energy, with her voice flatter than normal and eyes half open — referred to the two explosion incidents in New Jersey and New York on Saturday as “bombings” — then proceeded to imply criticism of Donald Trump for saying the acts involved a “bomb.”
“I’ve been briefed about the bombings in New York and New Jersey, and the attack in Minnesota,” Clinton said, referring to a knifing at a St. Paul mall in which the assailant allegedly shouted “Allah.”
“Obviously we need to do everything we can to support our first responders, also to pray for the victims,” she said.

“We have to let this investigation unfold. We’ve been in touch with various officials including the mayor’s office in New York, to learn what they are discovering as they conduct this investigation,” Clinton said.
“And I’ll have more to say about it when we actually know some facts,” she said.

Immigrants play big role in the Maryland economy
Eshhaq Rafiq's parents fled Afghanistan for the United States during the Soviet occupation of that country. Mei Xu left China after the university student was assigned to warehouse work for re-education after the Tiananmen Square crackdown. Juan Barbaran came to America from Peru, seeking new opportunities after the promising soccer player broke his leg in a match.
The three, who came from different places and different circumstances, all wound up opening businesses to pursue the American Dream. They are among many foreign-born entrepreneurs in Maryland and nationwide who are creating jobs and boosting the economy.
Immigrants were almost twice as likely to start a company as U.S.-born citizens in 2014, according the Kauffman Foundation. In that year, immigrants started nearly a third of all new companies in the country. And nearly all of the new jobs in the United States were hires made by companies less than five years old, said Jason Wiens, policy director at Kauffman.

Twice Arrested Illegal Alien Kills Sheriff's Deputy
A twice-arrested illegal immigrant killed a Kansas sheriff’s deputy on Sunday, a source with knowledge of the case told The Daily Caller.
Adrian Espinosa-Flores, 38, was charged Monday with involuntary manslaughter after he allegedly was driving drunk and crashed his pickup truck into a patrol car stopped on the side of the road. The crash killed Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff’s Department Master Deputy Brandon Collins, 45.
The Kansas City Star reported Tuesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement had placed an immigration detainer on Espinosa-Flores. Immigration detainers request that an individual be transferred to ICE custody, detainers are written for immigration violations but not necessarily for being in the country illegally.
A source at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department with knowledge of the investigation told TheDC that the detainer was because Espinosa-Flores is in the United States illegally. The Johnson County District Attorney’s Office told The Daily Caller they couldn’t comment on the detainer as the investigation is on going.

Republicans move to impeach IRS chief
House conservatives moved on Tuesday to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen over allegations that he misled investigators over the agency's inappropriate targeting of Tea Party groups.
Rep. John Fleming, R-La., introduced the resolution to impeach Koskinen on Tuesday afternoon. "[Koskinen] engaged in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with his duties as an officer of the United States," Fleming said on the floor.
The filing of the resolution is the culmination of years of investigation into how and why the IRS applied extra scrutiny of Tea Party groups that filed for tax-exempt status. His impeachment is chiefly favored by members of the House Freedom Caucus, who forced John Boehner into retirement last year, but it has spread beyond the caucus to include House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, and others who believe Koskinen oversaw the destruction of evidence that lawmakers were seeking as they investigated the targeting scandal.

What’s Going on With America’s White People?
Donald Trump’s appeals to working-class white Americans have no doubt stoked racial tensions. But his popularity among these voters has also put an unexpected spotlight on their grievances—whether they feel left behind by globalization and immigration or resentful of an elite political class that seems to ignore them. Do poor white Americans suddenly feel more disgruntled than ever, or are the rest of us just now paying attention? How much of their pique has to do with economic factors versus matters of race or, simply, health? And what does it all mean for American politics—in 2016 and beyond? To answer those questions and more, Politico editor Susan Glasser and chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush convened four scholars from our Politico 50 list who have studied the history of white people in America and documented their recent troubles; Thrush also interviewed J.D. Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy, a bestselling memoir about working-class white culture. In a way, they all said, the discontent that propelled Trump to the nomination has been a long time coming.
Susan Glasser: I’d love to just jump right in and ask each of you: What is going on with America’s white people, and how much is that driving the Trump phenomenon in this year’s election?
Anne Case, Princeton University economist: Angus and I touched a nerve last fall when we published a piece in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that documented that, among white non-Hispanics in middle age, mortality, after having fallen for large parts of the last century, actually turned up and started to go the wrong way. And, with the Centers for Disease Control also redocumenting what we had done, the big drivers in that trend are what we call “deaths of despair,” which are suicide, drug overdose and alcohol-related liver disease. Partly the surprise is that it is not just men; it is men and women. And it appears to be happening all over the country. And that resonated in this political season.

Resettlement Agencies: Increase Middle East-South Asia Refugees in Michigan by 40 Percent, Send 100 to Flint
Breitbart News has obtained the FY 2017 refugee resettlement proposals from the five leading resettlement agencies that operate in Michigan showing they plan to jam down a 40 percent increase in refugees from the “Middle East-South Asia” region, which includes Syria, on residents of Michigan in the fiscal year that begins on October 1.
These plans in Michigan are completely consistent with the nationwide “refugee number determination” the Obama Administration presented to Congress on Tuesday: an increase of the FY 2017 ceiling by 29 percent to 110,000, up from the ceiling of 85,000 that was approved for FY 2016. The actual final number for FY 2016 is likely to reach or exceed the original ceiling number, if the run rate of the last few months continues for the final two weeks of the fiscal year.
In their FY 2016 plans, these five agencies–Lutheran Social Services (which recently changed the name of its Michigan operation to Samaritas), Church World Service, Catholic Charities, HIAS (formerly the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), and Episcopal Migration Ministries— proposed 4,060 refugees overall to be resettled in Michigan, 2,567 from the “Middle East-South Asia” region, which includes Syria. As of September 13, 3,783 total refugees, 1,217 of whom are from Syria, have been resettled in Michigan to date this fiscal year. At the accelerated run rate of the past few months, year end numbers are likely to hit or exceed the FY 2016 plan for 4,000 total refugees in Michigan, of which over 1,300 are Syrian refugees.

Trump shatters GOP records with small donors
Donald Trump has unleashed an unprecedented deluge of small-dollar donations for the GOP, and one that Republican Party elders have dreamed about finding for much of the last decade as they’ve watched a succession of Democrats — Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders and, to a lesser extent, Hillary Clinton — develop formidable fundraising operations, $5, $10 and $20 at a time.
Trump has only been actively soliciting cash for a few months, but when he reveals his campaign’s financials later this week they will show he has crushed the total haul from small-dollar donors of the last two Republican nominees, John McCain and Mitt Romney — during the entirety of their campaigns.
All told, Trump is approaching, and has possibly already passed, $100 million from donors who have given less than $200, according to an analysis of available Federal Election Commission filings, the campaign’s public statements and people familiar with his fundraising operation. It is a threshold no previous Republican has ever achieved in a single campaign. And Trump has done so less than three months after signing his first email solicitation for donors on June 21 — a staggering speed to collect such a vast sum.
“I’ve never seen anything like this,” said a senior Republican operative who has worked closely with the campaign’s small-dollar fundraising operation. “He’s the Republican Obama in terms of online fundraising.”

Pat Caddell: Ford Moving Jobs to Mexico Is ‘Globalism vs. Nationalism’ -- They're 'Proving Trump's Point'
On Friday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM, veteran pollster Pat Caddell explained that the Ford Motor Company’s decision to move its small-car manufacturing to Mexico has brought the nationalism vs. globalism debate into sharp focus for the electorate.
Caddall noted that Donald Trump pulling to within three points of Hillary Clinton in Michigan — a state that went Democrat in the last six elections, by 10 and 16 points for Barack Obama — shows that 2016 is a “national election” more so than we’ve had in a long time.
“Everyone in the political world and the mainstream media thinks that politics only began in 2008 or 2004. So that every election, the states are organized and there are only a handful of states that matter. No, this election is taking place nationally, and the movement that’s been going on has been going on everywhere,” Caddell told Breitbart Editor-in-Chief and SiriusXM host Alex Marlow.

Maryland 11th in Lobbyists for Prescription Drug Makers
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland ranks 11th among states for the average number of lobbyists each year working for makers of prescription painkillers and allied groups, when drug makers’ lobbying hires are ranked using a ratio factoring in all lobbyist registrations in each state, a joint investigation by The Associated Press and the Center for Public Integrity has found.
Nationwide, companies that make prescription opioid painkillers and allied groups have spent more than $880 million from 2006 through 2015 on campaign contributions and lobbying over the past decade as they worked to influence state and federal policies, the investigation found. The companies and groups employed an annual average of 1,350 lobbyists in state capitals around the country and contributed to a total of 7,100 candidates for state-level office, according to the investigation.
The also hired more than 115 federal lobbying organizations each year during that 10-year period.
The groups have an array of political interests that include opioid advocacy, and their spending was eight times what the gun lobby spent during the same period. The overall picture of drug-related lobbying in Maryland in recent years has been complicated by robust interest the state’s efforts to get a stalled medical marijuana program off the ground.
Groups seeking limits on opioid prescribing spent about $4 million, by comparison nationwide.

Hillary Clinton: Your Kids Belong to the State
It’s the government’s job to raise your children, Clinton implies
The president has the power to “shape our children,” Hillary Clinton said in a controversial tweet that sparked outrage among parents.
We don’t need a president who thinks only married people deserve paid leave and only mothers ever stay home with the kids.
As @FLOTUS said, the choice in this election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four years of their lives.
“As [Michelle Obama] said, the choice in this election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four years of their lives,” Hillary declared.
That’s something Hugo Chavez or another third-world dictator would say.

Dallas Police Officer Files Lawsuit Against Black Lives Matter, President Obama for Inciting a ‘Race War’
A Dallas police sergeant has filed a lawsuit against Black Lives Matter and President Barack Obama, alleging that they and others are “igniting a race war.”
Sgt. Demetrick Pennie, a black 17-year-veteran of the Dallas police force, filed the suit in a Dallas federal court Friday. According to the Dallas Morning News, the suit seeks more than $500 million in damages.
In addition to the Black Lives Matter movement and Obama, the lawsuit also lists Al Sharpton, Louis Farrahkan, George Soros, the New Black Panther Party and even Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton as defendants.
“Defendants incite people to violence and cause violence by telling those people that they are under attack. Defendants are encouraging disaffected blacks, Black Muslims, Muslims and others allied with them including certain whites to ignore, disrespect, and assault law enforcement officials, and commit violence and lethal force,” the 66-page suit reads, according to the Morning News.

Congress Investigating Obama Admin-Funded Campaign to Unseat Israeli PM
Congress on Friday launched a wide-ranging probe into a secret Obama administration-funded campaign to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to information exclusively obtained by theWashington Free Beacon.
The probe comes on the heels of an internal government report determining that the State Department provided hundreds of thousands to an organization that plotted to unseat Netanyahu in the country’s 2015 election.
Obama administration officials were found to have deleted emails from State Department accounts containing information about its relationship with OneVoice, the non-profit group that led the effort.
OneVoice, which was awarded $465,000 in U.S. grants through 2014, has been under congressional investigation since 2015, when it was first accused of funneling some of that money to partisan political groups looking to unseat Netanyahu. This type of behavior by non-profit groups is prohibited under U.S. tax law.
A group of nine leading lawmakers led by Sen. David Perdue (R., Ga.) are now formally petitioning the State Department to come clean about the effort and provide answers about how U.S. taxpayer dollars were permitted to be spent on an organization working against the elected leader of America’s closest Middle East ally, according to a readout of the investigation obtained by the Free Beacon.

New Mexico Poll: Trumps Leads Clinton 43% to 38%
Republican nominee for president Donald Trump opened up a five point lead with New Mexico and its five electoral votes, according to the 141 likely voters in the Reuters/Ipsos poll released Saturday.
Trump has the support of 43 percent of likely voters compared to 38 percent for his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the poll executed between Aug. 26 and Sept. 15.
Based on the poll results, Reuters moved New Mexico into the Trump column with a “Low Confidence” in its “States of the Nation” webpage that tracks the state polls together with an Electoral College map.
The New York City businessman was in a virtual tie with Clinton in the Morning Consult poll released Sept. 8 with 35 percent to her 36 percent. In that poll it was former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson, running as a Libertarian, 14 percent and Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein, 3 percent.

Intelligence Community Quashed Clinton Probe
In February, Hillary Clinton ironically wondered, “Why is there one standard for me and not for everybody else?” That’s an excellent question and one that is ever so pertinent. Recall earlier this summer the FBI said it “did find that hostile foreign actors gained access to the personal email accounts of individuals with whom Clinton was in regular contact, and, in doing so, obtained emails sent to or received by Clinton on her personal account.” Meanwhile, Intelligence Community Directive 732 stipulates, “Damage assessments shall be conducted when there is an actual or suspected unauthorized disclosure or compromise of classified national intelligence that may cause damage to U.S. national security.”
As Rep. Mike Pompeo reminds us, “FBI Director Comey has made clear that there was highly classified and sensitive information on Secretary Clinton’s personal server.” But according to a new report by The Washington Free Beacon, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence never followed through on its requirement to investigate the repercussions of a possible breach of classified intel — a decision that was supported by Director James Clapper. So to paraphrase Hillary’s question once again: Why is there one standard for her and quite another for everybody else?
That’s what guys like disgraced NSA thief and deserter Edward Snowden are asking..

What’s Wrong with Hillary?
What in the world is wrong with Hillary Clinton? Besides her criminal activities and her warmongering, socialist, gun-grabbing politics, I mean. She collapses; has fainting spells; refuses to do press conferences; bobbles her head back and forth like a plastic, well, bobblehead; goes into weird, wide-eyed, out-of-control facial contortions; has constant coughing fits, and is escorted by physicians everywhere she goes. What gives?
After her blackout last Sunday, her campaign office said Hillary is suffering from pneumonia. The problem is that pneumonia does not come close to explaining all of the disturbing symptoms that the American people have been watching Hillary exhibit. And this is not to mention the fact that it is hard to imagine anyone in politics more unlikely, to tell the truth than Hillary Clinton–except for maybe Bill Clinton, G.W. Bush, Barack Obama, John McCain, Al Gore, Lindsey Graham, Dick Cheney, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Newt Gingrich, Ted Cruz–oh well, skip that point.
According to confirmed reports, here is what we know about Hillary’s health so far (this column being written before Hillary’s campaign released more of her health information on Wednesday, September 14):
*Hillary Clinton suffered her first blood clot in 1998 while she was First Lady and experienced the second incident in 2009.

VIDEO: Hot mic catches Hillary trying to hide coughing fit
Despite being back on the campaign trail, Hillary Clinton still isn’t well.
At the conclusion of a 20-minute speech to the Black Women’s Agenda Workshop in Washington, DC, on Friday, Clinton began coughing.
Clinton tried her best to not act like she was hacking by not covering her mouth and holding still. Alas, the hot mic picked it up.
As she exited, turning her back to the stage, she could be seen coughing again — and covering it with the hand she uses to shake hands with voters.

Foster parents fighting to get grandchildren back
ROSEDALE, Md. —Serious allegations against a foster parent led to criminal charges, but prosecutors eventually dropped the case. Now, he and his wife are fighting to get the grandchildren the state removed from their home returned.
From toys to shoes, the rooms in the Thomases' Rosedale home are ready. All that Berlie Thomas, a foster parent for 29 years, wants is the state to allow her to care for children once again, especially the three grandchildren she and her husband, Robert Lee Thomas, took in as foster children when his daughter became unable to care for them.
"This is going to be a very big challenge for me, but I'm going to fight them. They're not going to keep my grandkids," Berlie Thomas said.
Last year, the Department of Social Services removed the grandchildren -- 2-year-old twin girls and an 8-month-old boy -- after serious allegations arose against Robert Lee Thomas. A child who the couple took in back in 2006 who hadn't lived with them for more than six years accused Robert Lee Thomas of sexual abuse and rape. Police arrested him. He denies the allegations.

Bomb Threats At Queen Anne's County Schools
This morning the Board of Education was notified of a message posted on the social media site “Snap Chat” which implied a threat to students and staff at Queen Anne’s County High School and Sudlersville Middle School. With concern to student safety, both schools were secured and law enforcement was immediately notified. Within minutes of law enforcement arrival to the
schools, the person posting the message to social media was identified.
After investigation, the suspect was positively identified and is being interviewed by the police. Both schools quickly resumed their normal schedules with minimal instructional disruption.
We would like to praise the student who brought this threat to the
attention of school leadership.
Inside the scramble to cover up Clinton’s private email server
Computers from China and Russia tried to attack Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server, according to never-released e-mails from the Denver company that set up and maintained the system.
And other internal e-mails show the IT executives fretted about being ordered to purge e-mails and scrambled to distance themselves from what they believed was the former first lady “covering up some shaddy [shady] s- -t.”
In a gallows-humor message, one called it “Hillary’s coverup operation.”
The FBI in July chastised Clinton and her aides over the use of the private server, saying, “They were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.” But the agency declined to recommend charges.

Former McClatchy Editor: 'We Assigned a Reporter to Go to Kenya' After Clinton Operative Urged Birther Investigation
David Goldstein of McClatchy reports on two supporters of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary campaign against Barack Obama who pushed the false “birther” narrative that Obama was born in Kenya. One of the supporters was Clinton’s longtime confidant Sidney Blumenthal who pitched the story to McClatchy’s former Washington Bureau Chief James Asher.
From McClatchy:
Meanwhile, former McClatchy Washington Bureau Chief James Asher tweeted Friday that Blumenthal had “told me in person” that Obama was born in Kenya.
“During the 2008 Democratic primary, Sid Blumenthal visited the Washington Bureau of McClatchy Co.,” Asher said in an email Friday to McClatchy, noting that he was at the time the investigative editor and in charge of Africa coverage.
“During that meeting, Mr. Blumenthal and I met together in my office and he strongly urged me to investigate the exact place of President Obama’s birth, which he suggested was in Kenya. We assigned a reporter to go to Kenya, and that reporter determined that the allegation was false.
“At the time of Mr. Blumenthal’s conversation with me, there had been a few news articles published in various outlets reporting on rumors about Obama’s birthplace. While Mr. Blumenthal offered no concrete proof of Obama’s Kenyan birth, I felt that, as journalists, we had a responsibility to determine whether or not those rumors were true. They were not.”

Former Aide Recalls The Time Obama Chewed Out Hillary For Muslim Rumor
In his 2015 memoir, “Power Forward,” Reggie Love recalled the time then-Illinois Senator Barack Obama chastised Hillary Clinton for fueling rumors he was a Muslim.
Love, who served as Obama’s body man from 2007-2011, described the “heated” incident, taking place on the tarmac of Reagan National Airport in D.C., as the moment the Obama campaign knew they would win the Democratic presidential nomination.
According to Love, Clinton had initiated a conversation to apologize “for the whole Shaheen thing.”
“[Obama] very respectfully told her the apology was kind, but largely meaningless, given the emails it was rumored her camp had been sending out labeling him as a Muslim,” Love wrote. “Before he could finish his sentence, she exploded on Obama.”

U.S. Ed Dept. Gives Cities $5 Million For Students Riot Stress Relief
Obama’s Education Department has awarded $5 million in grants to Chicago, Baltimore and St. Louis to foster “student resilience” following rancorous protests and riots in those cities over alleged police brutality and racism.
“Students who live in communities where there has been significant civil unrest can be traumatized by these events,” said Education Department general counsel James Cole Jr. said in a press release. “In many communities, particularly those that are historically underserved, funding is often limited or unavailable to address the mental and emotional needs of those affected. These grants will help address those needs and get students the help they deserve.”
Hmm.
Does the Education Department understand that maybe some of the traumatized students who need more resilience include offspring of Baltimore police officers wrongly accused of killing Freddie Gray? Or kids sired by the St. Louis cops who Washington Post affirmative action hire and national reporter Wesley Lowery loudly accused of a false arrest but never actually sued? Possibly because the incident might have been colorful enough to get him on “Meet the Press” but not sufficiently egregious to convince a jury he was illegally arrested?

Trump Slams CNN For Editing Out Clinton 'Bomb' Quote; "Disgusting, Disgraceful"
"These people are the most dishonest people"
Donald Trump slammed CNN during an interview on Fox and Friends this morning for editing out Hillary Clinton describing the New York attack as a “bombing” even as the network criticized Trump for using the same description.
CNN featured Clinton taking a question from a reporter on her campaign plane, agreeing that Trump was being insensitive for calling the attack in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York a “bombing,” despite Clinton referring to the incident as a “bombing” just moments before.
The network then repeated the stunt a second time, with host Jake Tapper slamming Trump for leaping to conclusions, again failing to play the clip where Clinton describes the incident as a “bombing”.
“CNN is disgusting and disgraceful,” said Trump, adding that he was treated more fairly by Fox News.

How Healthy Is Hillary Clinton? Doctors Weigh In
WASHINGTON — The disclosure last week that Hillary Clinton was beingtreated for pneumonia thrust the health of both of the major parties’ presidential candidates and their running mates to the center of the campaign, and led to the release of more detailed medical histories from the two candidates seeking what is widely regarded as the world’s most demanding job.
Mrs. Clinton, 68, the Democratic presidential nominee, who has had serious medical problems in recent years, released on Wednesday an update of a July 2015 letter from her doctor attesting to her overall good health and ability to serve a full four-year term as president. However, the doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., noted that Mrs. Clinton had developed two new medical conditions in 2016: a sinus and ear infection in the winter and pneumonia this month.
Dr. Bardack wrote that she had regularly examined Mrs. Clinton this year for routine care and that she had been closely monitoring her pneumonia, which is improving.
But doctors not connected with the candidate’s care say that the letters omit basic information like height and weight, and that a more detailed history of her blood clots and a 2012 concussion should be disclosed. Still, the information Mrs. Clinton has made public is more extensive than thedetails and assessments that Dr. Harold N. Bornstein, the doctor forDonald J. Trump, 70, the Republican presidential nominee, provided on Thursday, saying that Mr. Trump has had no serious illness and “is in excellent health.”
Here is an assessment of the medical history Mrs. Clinton has made public.

Almost 100,000 Somali Refugees Admitted to US Since 9/11; 99.6% Muslim
(CNSNews.com) – Almost 100,000 Somali refugees have been resettled in the United States since 9/11, including 8,619 so far during the current fiscal year. The largest number – some 16 percent of the total over the past 15 years – have been resettled in Minnesota, home to the nation’s biggest Somali-American community.
Of the 97,046 Somali refugees admitted to the U.S. since the fall of 2001, 99.6 percent were Muslim, and 28,836 (29.7 percent) were males between the ages of 14 and 50.
In FY 2015 Somalis were the third largest contingent of refugees admitted to the U.S. – 8,858, or 12.6 percent of the total from around the world. Only Burma, with 26.3 percent, and Iraq, with 18.1 percent, accounted for larger groups of refugees arriving in the country.
The biggest influx of Somali refugees over the past 15 years occurred during the FY 2004-2006 period, after which the numbers dwindled before picking up again from FY 2014-2016, State Department Refugee Processing Center data show.

For Some Seniors Without Housing, A Parking Lot Is Home
Marge Giaimo makes her way to a picnic table under the shadow of an oak tree. Santa Barbara's trees, like its oceans and mountains, are one thing she says she never tires of here. After losing her senior housing three years ago, this table is where she does her painting these days.
"I feel very fortunate to have my car," Giaimo says. "It's a little cramped, but it's softer than cement."
Of all her once-valued possessions, today her 20-year-old, gold Oldsmobile is her most important one. It is her home, and she keeps it as neat as a pin.
"And then this is where I sleep," she says. "I have the three pillows and I have sponges under there or foam to sleep on."
In the wealthy coastal city of Santa Barbara, north of Los Angeles, the demand for senior housing is so great the wait list is now closed. After all, California's senior population is expected to grow by 50 percent in the next decade.

New investigation reveals extent of police data collection and surveillance
All across America, police are stockpiling massive amounts of intimate data on people they meet. In most cases they are holding onto the information indefinitely, even though there was no reason for any charges to result from their encounter.
And many of the police departments are keeping the information hidden from the public, making oversight difficult.
Those were some of the findings of a year-long examination of the field contact practices of the nation’s 50 largest police departments, along with some of the top law enforcement agencies in South Carolina. The investigation was conducted by The Post and Courier newspaper of Charleston, South Carolina.
Award-winning journalist Cheryl Chumley reported on the data collection practice in her 2014 book “Police State USA: How Orwell’s Nightmare Is Becoming Our Reality.” She warned that collecting data on Americans who aren’t charged with a crime – or in some cases, even suspected of a crime – flips the Constitution on its head and twists the standard “innocent until proven guilty” into “there is no such thing as innocence.”
“Watering down the Constitution this way sets the stage for the coming generations to see the government as their boss – an entity to not only respect, but fear,” Chumley told WND this week. “The Founding Fathers, on the other hand, wanted a government that was beholden to its citizens – a government that was kept at bay from encroaching on the God-given rights of its citizens by, say, the Second Amendment’s guarantee to bear arms, or the Fourth Amendment’s promise to be safe and secure in private property and possessions.”

Trump Slams "Profiling" Political-Correctness: "We're Allowing These People To Destroy Our Country"
Falling just shy of a victory lap, Donald Trump warned about the consequences of not being allowed to profile to prevent terrorism. As The Hill reports, the GOP nominee said in June that the U.S. needs to start looking into the use of profiling to stop terrorism; and reiterated today that while he doesn't like the concept, it may be necessary.
"We're allowing these people to come into our country and destroy our country and make it unsafe for people. We're allowing these people to come in,"
"We don't want to do any profiling. If somebody looks like he's got a massive bomb on his back, we won't go up to that person ... because, if he looks like he comes from that part of the world, we're not allowed to profile. Give me a break."
The GOP nominee also on Monday warned the situation in the country "will only get worse."

Juggernauts Repeat At 2016 Emmys, But Fresh Faces Get Their Due
It was the night of the small-screen giants. And none stood taller at the 2016 Emmys than the HBO juggernauts Game of Thrones and Veep, which won for best drama and comedy series, respectively. The People v. O.J. Simpson also won the Emmy for outstanding limited series.
Game of Thrones and VEEP may have pulled off repeat wins at Sunday's Emmy Awards, but there was also plenty of room for fresh faces in the winner's circle.
First-time nominee Rami Malek won best drama actor for his role as on USA's Mr. Robot as delusional hacker Elliot Alderson. "Please tell me you're seeing this, too," Malek quipped before noting there was probably a bit of the alienated Alderson in all of us.

Happy Birthday! Adam West Turns 88 Years Old Today
Happy birthday, Adam West! The legendary actor turns 88 today.
Born in Washington, Adam was raised by his parents Otto and Audrey. He quickly discovered his interested in acting as a child and even told his father he planned to move to Hollywood once he finished school. Adam then graduated from Lakeside School in Seattle before he was drafted into the United States Army. Once discharged, Adam decided to move to Hawaii to pursue his acting career.
Once in Hawaii, Adam was cast in a small role on a show called El Kini Popo Show. But, by 1959, Adam and his growing family moved to Hollywood. Once moved, he starred in projects like Overland Trail, Outer Limits, and more.
However, the actor’s big break came when he was cast as Batman in an eponymous series. The show ran from 1966 to 1968. The role rocketed Adam into the public sphere and even helped him catch the attention of casting agents for James Bond. However, Adam turned down the spy role as he believed 007 should remain forever British.

"Why Don't They Trust Her": A Look At One Of Hillary Clinton's Early Scandals
In recent months the mainstream media has worked itself into a frenzy trying to defend Hillary from the various scandals surrounding her campaign. There is seemingly no end to the "plumes of smoke" emanating from the Clinton camp including questions over Benghazi, missing emails, pay-for-play at the Clinton Foundation, strange "medical episodes", etc, etc, etc. All the while, the press simply can't bring themselves to understand why voters never quite view her as a trustworthy candidate.
The problem, says Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal, is that the Clinton's have been embroiled in so many scandals dating all the way back to the 1970's that their name has been branded into the American psyche as being synonymous with the word "scandal" itself. While millennial voters are most familiar with the recent scandals (and we all know how well that is playing out for her, see: "Hillary's Growing "Millennial Problem" Forces A Reset"), older voters have been hearing about the Clinton escapades for over a quarter century since they first entered public life on the national level in the early 90's.
As such, the Wall Street Journal took a walk down memory lane by recounting one of Hillary's early scandals that emerged shortly after she entered the White House and came to be known afterward as "Travelgate." It was out of this first scandal that Hillary's critics said she first "revealed the soul of an East German border guard."
Then she—not he—messed it up. It was the first big case in which she showed poor judgment, a cool willingness to mislead, and a level of political aggression that gave even those around her pause. It was after this mess that her critics said she’d revealed the soul of an East German border guard.

Obama Jokes About ISIS Same Day America Gets Bombed Twice
President Barack Obama made a joke with unfortunately bad timing Saturday, quipping that the Islamic State was no big deal compared to his birth certificate, only to have America hit by two separate explosions.
While addressing a dinner held by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Saturday night, Obama joked about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent declaration that Obama was, in fact, born in America.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole birther thing is over,” Obama said. “I mean, ISIL, North Korea, poverty, climate change, none of those things weighed on my mind like the validity of my birth certificate.”

It’s 1828 All Over Again: Trump’s Deplorables Have Started a Peaceful Revolution
There’s something happening here. And what it is, well, it’s perfectly clear: There’s a peaceful revolution rumbling through the country. On one side of the metaphorical barricade: Donald Trump and his “deplorables.” On the other side: Hillary Clinton and her close allies, the Mainstream Media.
Trump raised the stakes Friday night in Miami. As Breitbart News headlined, “Trump Makes Entrance to ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’ with ‘Les Deplorablés’ Banner.” The lyrics heard were these:
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!
Yes, indeed, it’s a revolutionary situation. It’s peaceful and democratic, to be sure, but, nonetheless, it’s a revolution. Embracing this thrilling new spirit—of the sort never seen, for example, during the McCain or Romney campaigns—Trump opened his speech by nodding to the audience and quipping, “Welcome, all of you deplorables.”

Hillary Clinton Says “Bombings In New York” – 40 Seconds Later Criticizes Use of Word “Bombing”
These MSM dolts are so dependent on collaborated and scripted narratives, they can’t even stop themselves from following the script when it makes them look silly
In under a minute you can see/hear an audio visual demonstration showing why the vast majority of Americans just laugh at journalists in the 2016 presidential campaign.
A well sedated Secretary Clinton begins her remarks (00:28) by saying:
“I’ve been briefed about the bombings in New York and New Jersey, as well as the attack in Minnesota”…
Note the emphasis: “briefed about the bombings“.
However, seemingly oblivious to the fact Secretary Clinton just said “bombings“, Hillary’s traveling press pool asks the very first question 40 seconds later (01:08) which was:
“Do you have any reaction to the fact that Donald Trump, prior to taking the stage tonight, called the explosion tonight a bomb, and if that’s an appropriate term”?

Black voters are turning from Clinton to Trump in new poll
Donald Trump is gaining support among African-American voters — whose enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton is eroding, a tracking poll released Saturday revealed.
Trump saw a 16.5 percentage-point increase in backing from African-American voters in a Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California tracking poll, up from 3.1 percent on Sept. 10 to 19.6 percent through Friday.
Meanwhile, the same poll showed Clinton’s support among that group plummeting from 90.4 percent on Sept. 10 to 71.4 percent.
Clinton’s nearly 20-point crash began Sunday, said Dan Schnur of USC. Sunday was the day Clinton was recorded collapsing while entering a Secret Service van at a 9/11 event.

Failing American Indians Again
While politicians in Washington and pundits on TV bicker over the word Redskins, American Indians face a bevy of real problems at the hands of federal bureaucracy.
Americans are no doubt familiar with the early problems between white settlers and natives, along with the federal government’s brutal relocation in the Trail of Tears, but far fewer are aware of how poorly American Indians are faring in the present-day United States.
New York Post columnist and author Naomi Schaefer Riley says these problems amount to a new Trail of Tears. In Riley’s book by that name, she discusses the rampant sexual abuse, high crime rates, and widespread poverty troubling American Indians on the reservations and explains their causes.
American Indians have the same rights under the law as other Americans, but when they are on reservations, they lose control of important decisions about their lives and towns. Most issues on reservations are decided by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, a hapless and destructive federal agency.
The land on reservations is mostly communal, owned by the tribe and run by a bureaucracy rather than bought and sold by individuals, which creates hurdles for American Indians living on reservations to start businesses and succeed on their own. Reservation land loses much of its value because of the government role in its management, while most of the jobs available on reservations are government jobs. Decisions are based primarily on government and tribal interests, with the interests of individual American Indians often left in the dust.

Debate Rules Being Set by Hillary Donors
The men and women who run the supposedly “nonpartisan” Commission on Presidential Debates have put their money where their mouths are — and it all has gone to Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The amount of money is small by the standards of a modern presidential campaign, but it is one-sided. A pair of Ph.D. candidates at Stanford University examined campaign finance reports and found that all of the $5,650 in contributions that commission members have made to presidential candidates during this election season have gone to Clinton.
Republican Donald Trump, who will meet Clinton in the first debate a week from Monday, received no donations from debate commission members. Green Party nominee Jill Stein and Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, who both learned Friday that they will be shut out of the first debate, also received nothing.

Another Message From The DNC
SATURDAY POLL: TRUMP 47, CLINTON 41 (USC/LA Times)
This is a massive problem.
For the first time, it’s clear: Trump could actually be our President.
We thought our grassroots community could band together to stop him this week.
But unfortunately, we haven’t been able to pick up the pace and fix this.
So while the media has a field day with the prospect of President Trump with a Republican Congress, we’re coming directly to you.
Tomorrow is our 5O Day Deadline, so we’re running out of time to rebound.
