A Republican congressman is warning Democrats: Don’t pander to the Muslim community for votes, because “if it had its way, [it] would kill every homosexual in the United States of America.”
The comments came from Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., who was interviewed on WAPI radio’s “Matt & Aunie” show in Birmingham, Alabama, after Orlando Muslim shooter Omar Mateen massacred 49 people at a gay nightclub and injured 53 more.
“Matt and Aunie” host Matt Murphy noted that the left appears to overlook Islam’s murderous hatred toward homosexuals when Democrats seek votes from the Muslim community.
“The left seems to run away from the reality [of] this anger and almost hatred toward homosexuality and freedom of choice,” he said.

Paul Ryan threatens to sue Trump over immigration ban
Obama on pace to open doors to 1 million Muslims by 2017
President Obama, in the first six years of his administration, issued 832,014 green cards to migrants from nations that were predominantly Muslim in make-up, a dazzling number that’s left Republican critics shaking their heads and wondering: How much more can this nation take?
As Breitbart reported, citing a chart from the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, Obama has overseen a tremendous surge in immigration numbers from mostly-Muslim nations, some of which aren’t exactly on friendly terms with America. By the numbers, the White House has, between fiscal 2009 and fiscal 2014, given out green cards to 102,000 from Pakistan; 102,000 from Iraq; 90,000 from Bangladesh; 85,000 from Iran; 56,000 from Egypt; and 37,000 from Somalia.

Donald Trump prepared to go it alone if GOP won't get on board
GOP leaders have yet to abandon Donald Trump, but the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said this week he’s ready to kick them to the curb and go it alone against Hillary Clinton if they don’t man up.
In some of his most dismissive comments yet, Mr. Trump said other Republicans need to either get behind him or “just be quiet” — adding to the increasing heartburn among Republicans, particularly those on Capitol Hill whose electoral fortunes are tied to the erratic billionaire.
“You can’t make this up sometimes,” House Speaker Paul D. Ryan said at a press briefing Thursday on Capitol Hill.
Mr. Trump’s admonition came after several weeks of chiding from fellow Republicans who decried his proposal for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S., and who said his attacks on a federal judge’s ethnicity were unbecoming. Mr. Ryan had called it “the textbook definition of a racist comment.”
“The Republicans, honestly, folks, our leaders, our leaders have to get tougher. This is too tough to do it alone. But you know what? I think I’m going to be forced to. I think I’m going to be forced to,” Mr. Trump said on Wednesday.

Washington Post: Paul Ryan and Hillary Clinton Could Strike Deals
The Washington Post reportsthat there are many issues where “Hillary Clinton and Paul Ryan could make a deal.”
Following Ryan’s endorsement of Donald Trump, the Washington Post seemed to suggest that there are several major issues on which Ryan appears to be more aligned with Hillary Clinton than he is with the presumptive GOP nominee.
Indeed, since issuing his tepid endorsement of Trump, Ryan has made repeated declarations in high-profile media appearances that would seem to undermine the Republican Party’s new standard-bearer.
“Paul Ryan doesn’t think he has a chance of achieving his ambitious conservative goals if Hillary Clinton is in the White House. That was a crucial reason that he offered his support to Donald Trump,” the Washington Post writes. Yet “there are good reasons to think that Clinton and Ryan might be able to reach compromises if she is elected. There are at least five major areas in which she and the speaker could find common ground.”
“Criminal justice” is one of the five major issues highlighted by the Washington Post.
Paul Ryan has championed proposals that would slash sentences for convicted felons and release them from prison early. The Post notes that the Ryan-championed House bill won praise from liberal activists.

Paul Ryan to Sue a Future Pres Trump Over Muslim Migration Pause
In a sit-down interview with the anti-Trump publication the Huffington Post, House Speaker Paul Ryan suggested that he might sue President Trump if he were to enact a temporary pause on Muslim migration into the United States.
The Huffington Post writes:
In a sit-down interview in his ceremonial Capitol Hill office on Thursday, Ryan told The Huffington Post that Trump does not have “a blank check” with his endorsement… On the topic of Trump’s proposed Muslim ban and his statements that he could enact such a policy without Congress, Ryan noted that Republicans were releasing part of their agenda on executive overreach that very day, and, in news that’s sure to please Trump, Ryan suggested that he and the House of Representatives were prepared to sue a Republican president if need be.
“I would sue any president that exceeds his or her powers,” Ryan said.
It’s unclear, however, if Ryan thinks Trump enacting a ban on Muslims entering the country would actually exceed presidential powers. “That’s a legal question that there’s a good debate about,” Ryan said, pointing to the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act.

How Obama's failed leadership is literally killing us
Attacks can only be stopped by a competent commander in chief
The most recent Islamic act of war, in which self-professed Islamic State jihadi Omar Mir Seddique Mateen slaughtered 49 people and injured scores of others at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., should be a game changer. The deadliest attack on U.S. soil since Sept. 11, 2001, should finally convince our leadership that dealing with the Islamic threat must no longer be business as usual.
Don’t hold your breath.
President Obama has run national security policy only to serve his leftist agenda, not American interests and security. After nearly eight years of deliberate U.S. inaction and impotence, the Islamic State now leads the global jihad, including within our own borders. And it should surprise no one that the president will never fight the war in any meaningful way.
Nor will Hillary Clinton, who worked in lockstep with Mr. Obama during the years she served as secretary of state and still believes in his failed approach.

Orlando Killer's Father "Knew Obama"? Schmoozed In Washington, Sought Afghan Presidency
Close enough to raise your hackles about what is really going on.
Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, apparently visits the Capitol frequently, take pictures in front of the State Department and White House press room, and likes to pose with Congressmen, especially from the Foreign Affairs Committee.
There are also rumors, though they are unconfirmed, that Seddique Mateen has also met with President Obama.
His activity at the State Department and Foreign Affairs Committee also suggest possible liaisons with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and current Secretary of State John Kerry, along with other U.S. politicians.

It Wasn’t Just the Orlando Killer
One of the many unexplained (at least not officially) anomalies of the persons claimed to have carried out the Boston Marathon bombings is the presence of key CIA figure in the direct family of the accused brothers.
Ruslan Tsarnaev, the outspoken uncle of the brothers was married to Samantha A. Fuller until 2004. Samantha’s father is Graham Fuller, the senior CIA person who was the architect the Afghan Islamic fundamentalist Mujahideen war against the Soviets. He is also involved in creating a global jihad network, presumably acting on behalf of CIA interests.
Ruslan Tsarnaev, who changed his name to Ruslan Tsarni, lives in a posh Washington DC suburb of Bethesda Maryland. He has worked in the past for companies tied to Dick Cheney’s Halliburton as well as a “consultant” in Kazakhstan with the State Department’s USAID which has been identified as a CIA front. [1]Take it all in The two brothers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, accused though never proven in a court of law to have been responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings, had an uncle, the same uncle who agreed to bury the remains of the one dead brother. This uncle was married to the daughter of Graham Fuller, one of the most important CIA architects of using Islamic Jihadists/terrorists against the USSR during the Cold War and after, throughout Central Asia, including Chechnya and Kazakhstan.Coincidence? The Fuller CIA Link
The discovery of the connection between a very senior CIA official, Graham Fuller, to the uncle of the accused Boston bombers was more than a bit embarrassing for Fuller. He took what for a professional CIA agent was an extraordinary step of issuing a public denial. In an exclusive interview on what reportedly is a CIA-linked website, “Back Channel—Al-Monitor,” Fuller hurriedly denounced media links of his CIA connection to the bombers’ uncle: “…possible connections between Ruslan and the Agency through me are absurd.” [2] Fuller then went on to admit, “Samantha was married to Ruslan Tsarnaev (Tsarni) for 3-4 years…They also lived in our house in [Maryland] for a year or so…”
Fuller went on to claim Ruslan was “homesick” for Chechnya, and that his English was “shaky,” yet after the Boston bombings, a very English-fluent Ruslan gave a press conference from his posh Maryland home denouncing his nephews.

Paul Ryan Lies to O’Reilly: Says He Passed Bill to Pause Somali Refugee Program
In a Wednesday interview with Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly, House Speaker Paul Ryan made a demonstrably false declaration about his efforts to pause the Somali refugee program.
During the interview, O’Reilly criticized Ryan for failing to message on immigration controls and asked Ryan specifically about the Somali refugee crisis in Minnesota.
O’Reilly: “We have a Somali problem up in Minneapolis-St. Paul. [We] have a problem there and those are refugees from Somalia. And if, God forbid, some refugee comes in and blows people up, it’s going to be grisly.”
Ryan replied by explaining that he passed a bill to pause the refugee program. Ryan said: “Right. Right. That’s why– just so you know that’s why we passed a bill pausing this refugee program, because we don’t think the refugee program works. That’s why we don’t want it to continue right now.”
However, Ryan did no such thing. The bill Ryan championed did not in any way pause the Somali refugee program– it applied solely to refugees from Syria and Iraq.

Obamatrade cost GOP congressman his job
The populist uprising against phony “free trade” and Republicans who love it has taken its first scalp.
Rep. Randy Forbes, GOP establishment stalwart and longtime Obamatrade supporter from Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, will soon be unemployed. Voters rejected him in favor of his primary opponent Scott Taylor, who stridently opposed Obamatrade.
Taylor blasted Forbes for voting to give President Obama fast track authority to ram through Congress the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a sweeping 12-nation international regulatory pact that would merge our economy with some of the poorest and most repressive on earth.
This move was especially hypocritical for Forbes, chairman of the House Prayer Caucus. Obamatrade would give special economic privileges to countries that persecute Christians, including Vietnam, Malaysia and the Shariah-law regime of Brunei.
After his disastrous vote for fast track, Forbes tried to tap dance around the Constitution-shredding, religious-liberty-trampling Obamatrade agreement.
In a letter to constituents, Forbes recycled the party establishment’s globalist talking points, saying free trade is “crucial to our economy” and to “our future as a country.”

Illegal families surge across border; 2016 already worse than 2015
The number of illegal immigrant families jumping the border so far this fiscal year has already topped all of 2015, according to Homeland Security statistics released Friday that show the administration’s border problems continue to grow.
Some 6,788 people traveling as families were caught on the southwest border in May — a leap of more than 20 percent over April, and putting the total for the first eight months of the fiscal year at nearly 45,000.
That’s already well above the 2015 yearlong total of fewer than 40,000, though it’s short of the record pace set in 2014, when a massive surge exposed massive holes in the U.S. immigration system.
Federal and local authorities have struggled to explain the latest surge in families, but a government lawyer gave one explanation to a federal judge earlier this month, saying that the Obama administration’s own lax enforcement policies, set in part by the courts, have enticed ever more people to make the harrowing journey.
The Justice Department’s immigration-law expert even told the judge that Illegal immigrants are abducting children on their trip north, hoping to pose as families to take advantage of the lax policies.

How China's navy rapidly modernized to rival the US's
A recent report from the USCongressional Research Servicedetails how China's navy, the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN), has undergone a stunning modernization push that puts it near parity with the US.
In fact, China's military posture and prowess in the Western Pacific presents the US with a challenge unseen since the end of the Cold War.
By perfecting deadly ballistic and cruise missiles, by buying and designing submarines, planes, and surface ships, by cracking down on corruption and improving internal organization and logistics, the PLAN presents US naval planners with plenty to think about going forward.
Though few expect a military conflict to emerge between the world's two biggest economies, China's brinkmanship in the South China Sea has lead observers to describe their strategy of escalation as a kind of "salami-slicing," or steadily taking small steps to militarize the region without taking any one step that could be viewed as a cause to go to war.
However, the US military, with its global network of allies, doesn't have the luxury of choosing which conflicts to get involved in, and therefore must take every threat seriously.

The US dropped 67 nuclear bombs on this tiny island nation — and now it's far more radioactive than we thought
More than 60 years after the US dropped dozens of nuclear bombs on the Marshall Islands, residents of the tiny nation still may not be able to return.
Radiation levels in some areas of the country are almost double what is deemed safe for human habitation, according to a new Columbia University study in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Between 1946 and 1958, the US tested 67 nuclear weapons on the Marshall Islands, a chain of atolls in the Pacific Ocean with a population of just 52,000.
The most famous test, the "Bravo shot," was dropped on Bikini Atoll in 1954 and was 1,000 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
Residents of the atoll were displaced, and today it remains uninhabited.

Russia's track and field team has been barred from the Rio Olympics
The global governing body for track and field has barred the Russian track and field team from the Summer Olympics in Rio because of widespread use of performance-enhancing drugs and a lack of effort to clean up their athletes, according to the New York Times.
Ultimately, the fate of the team will be determined by the International Olympic Committee. However, as the Times notes, the IOC typically defers to the governing bodies of individual sports.
Russia has been banned from international competitions for the past seven months after the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accused Russia of what the Times describes as "an elaborate government-run doping program."
There is some feeling that the IOC could still allow athletes to compete who have never tested positive. However, whistle-blowers have alleged that many of the steroid users have never tested positive.
This would be the first time that an entire nation was barred from an Olympic sport because of doping.

Chris Christie's 'Right to Carry' Plan Blocked
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's plan to expand the categories of people allowed to carry handguns in public in The Garden State has been blocked by Democratic lawmakers, The Record reports.
The State Assembly passed a resolution putting the brakes on Christie's proposal, 46-29 by a partisan vote of Democrats versus Republicans. Since the same resolution was approved by the state Senate in May, Christie will be unable to veto it.
Thursday's assembly vote came four days after a heavily-armed gunman opened fire in a crowded Florida nightclub, killing 49 and injuring 53.

Rush Limbaugh: Liberals Accept Men as Women, But Not Terrorists as Muslims
Liberals are perfectly happy to accept a man who "presents" as female as a woman and vice versa, but they won't admit a terrorist who "presents" as Muslim is indeed a Muslim, says talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.
Limbaugh was referring to liberals in government and media saying the attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando over the weekend was because of Republican opposition to same-sex marriage and other issues rather than inspired by radical Islamists. Omar Mateen, whose shooting rampage left 49 dead and 53 injured, pledged allegiance to ISIS during the shooting.

NASA's Mars Recruitment Posters Look Retro, But Eye Future on Red Planet
NASA has launched a playful series of Mars recruitment posters aimed at enticing people to explore the Red Planet.
The retro posters resemble those used by the U.S. government to recruit people into the military during World War I and are available to download from NASA's website.
"Mars needs YOU!" the website touts. "In the future, Mars will need all kinds of explorers, farmers, surveyors, teachers . . . but most of all YOU! Join us on the Journey to Mars as we explore with robots and send humans there one day."
The posters encourage people with a variety of interests to explore the planet to grow gardens, work the night shift on one of the planet's moons, and hike the solar system's largest canyon, Valles Marineris.

Auschwitz Guard Convicted on 170,000 Counts
DETMOLD, Germany — A 94-year-old former SS sergeant who served as a guard at Auschwitz has been found guilty of more than 170,000 counts of accessory to murder for helping kill 1.1 million Jews and others at the Nazi death camp.
The Detmold state court sentenced Reinhold Hanning to five years in prison, though he will remain free while any appeals are heard.
Hanning showed no reaction as the judge, Anke Grudda, read her justification for the verdict and sentence.
"You were in Auschwitz for two and a half years, performed an important function. ... You were part of a criminal organization and took part in criminal activity in Auschwitz," she said.
Several elderly Auschwitz survivors testified at the trial about their own experiences, and were among 58 survivors or their families who joined the process as co-plaintiffs as allowed under German law.

51 US Diplomats Blast Obama on Syria, Urge Military Strikes
More than 50 State Department diplomats have signed an internal memo critical of U.S. policy in Syria, calling for military strikes against President Bashar al-Assad's government to stop its persistent violations of a civil war ceasefire.
The "dissent channel cable" was signed by 51 mid- to high-level State Department officers advising on Syria policy.
It calls for "targeted military strikes" against the Syrian government in light of the near-collapse of the ceasefire brokered earlier this year, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing copies of the cable it had seen.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, visiting Copenhagen, told Reuters on Friday: "It's an important statement and I respect the process, very, very much. I will ... have a chance to meet with people when I get back (to Washington)."

WHO no longer says coffee can cause cancer
Since 1991, coffee has been saddled with the label, “possibly causes cancer.” As of June 15, coffee got a clean bill of health.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer – or IARC – is the WHO agency that evaluates evidence and scientific research on cancer. In 1991 the agency classified coffee as a category 2B carcinogen, which, in effect, labeled it as “possibly causing cancer” in the human bladder.
Twenty-five years later, another IARC group of scientific experts met to assess the body of published scientific literature on whether coffee can cause cancer. This working group, including 23 experts drawn from around the world, and seven observers, met May 24-31, 2016 to evaluate the carcinogenic effects of “coffee, mate, and very hot beverages.”
This time, based on the available scientific literature, the expert group decided that the weight of evidence supported a downgrading in the classification. As of June 15, 2016, coffee is now considered in Group 3, or “not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans.” For coffee lovers, this is reassuring news.

DHS Hazards a Guest with Expired Visas
What exactly is Homeland Security doing when it isn't busy labeling conservatives terror threats or dishing out sex change drugs to illegals? Not its job, according to a stunning new report. Days removed from the worst radical Islamic attack on U.S. soil since 9/11, officials have been stunned to learn that DHS may be unintentionally laying the groundwork for another.
In what could be the worst crisis no one knows about, hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals who came to the United States for a limited time have grossly overstayed their visas, Congress is learning. On Tuesday, a House subcommittee was blown away to learn that 527,127 visitors who were supposed to leave in 2015 didn't. These "visa overstays," as they're called, are defined as any "nonimmigrant who was lawfully admitted to the United States for an authorized period but stayed in the United States beyond his or her lawful admission period." Now, the problem is so out of control, CNSNews reports, that as many as 60 percent of the people who are in America illegally are "overstayers."
Making matters worse, the Obama administration doesn't seem to care. Last year, a measly 2,456 were deported -- the lowest number ever under President Obama. "That sounds to me like an extension of the administration's amnesty program," Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) argued. "The message they are sending wide and far is: just get into the country. If you're not convicted of a serious crime, you're going to be allowed to stay. You're going to pass go. You're going to get the money. And that is the wrong message to send because it increases more illegal immigration."

Islamic Radical Refugee Threatens Trump Supporters
Islamic radicals aren't just targeting homosexuals. Now, they're targeting Trump supporters. As CBS News reports:
Denton County deputies, police and security took an Iraqi man into custody at a Denton County courts building after a loud outburst and two run-ins with people previously that had police issuing a warrant for his arrest.
Workers at a Denton IHOP restaurant say 28-year-old Peshwaz Waise came into their restaurant around 6:00 a.m. wearing what they called a turban, clutching a Koran and talking to customers about accepting its message.
“So, I guess he approached the guy with the same message but the guy had on a Trump supporter shirt on,” said restaurant employee Darel Walker. “So I guess that where the issue arose.”
The two started arguing which prompted a call to 911.
“Since the guy, the Trump supporter, was sitting down, a paying customer, the dude was asked to leave,” Walker said. “And I heard it carried on into the parking lot.”
Waise was given a ticket for trespassing. Next, police tell CBS11 Waise headed to this hospital and harassed employees telling one woman if she didn’t take his Koran she would die and that the hospital would go down.
Police say he next showed up at the courthouse yelling in Arabic and wanting to see judges.
“I could hear somebody being pulled out of the courthouse screaming and yelling,” said attorney and witness Philip Ray. “I couldn’t understand what he was saying but it was at a high volume. I couldn’t see who he was but there were many officers around him.”
Other attorneys inside the court building were hustled into safe areas.
“We were told that there had been threats made by this individual to judges and lawyers and that when he walked into the courthouse and they were screaming Arabic and had a turban and was trying to show people copies of the Koran,” said attorney Pete Schulte.
If this gentleman is so frustrated by the political and religious climate in America, he can absolutely go back to Iraq. His low regard for freedom of religion and freedom of speech seems better suited to a place where apostasy is punishable by death.

Rt. 50 Into Ocean City Is A Mess
With an accident near Racetrack Rd, (589) and the Bridge into Ocean City going up and down. Rt. 50 is backed up like a parking lot from 589 into Ocean City. If you are considering trying to take the back roads, well, that's not a good idea either, (below).
Air Force facing deficit of 4,000 maintenance airmen
The Air Force is going through a pilot shortfall, but that’s not the only area where the service is understaffed.
The Air Force is in need of 4,000 maintainers, Gen. David Goldfein told senators during his nomination hearing to be Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Maintainers are airmen who care for military aircraft and their components.
Because of the dearth in staffing, Goldfein said he does not expect the current operating tempo to change over the next four years.
Goldfein said manpower and time are the two greatest limiters to Air Force readiness. Some estimates predict the Air Force will not reach adequate readiness until the mid to late 2020s.

Orlando Victims Died Because They Were Unarmed - Not Because They Were Gay
Numerous liberty movement analysts and proponents, myself included, have been warning about 2016 and the heightened potential for multiple terrorist events. I have written extensively on the history of ISIS, its proven ties to western governments and the disturbing program to forcefully inject millions of Islamic refugees into western nations in the name of dubious “multiculturalism,” allowing thousands of potential terrorists into our borders without obstruction. The reality is that terrorist attacks of small and medium scale are likely to become a monthly or weekly occurrence in the U.S. and the EU as we close in on the end of the year. Get used to the idea, because this problem is not going to go away while our own governments are aiding and even funding the very psychopaths that they are supposed to be protecting people from.
The recent attack at at gay club in Orlando by a self-proclaimed ISIS advocate, killing at least 49 people and wounding at least 53 more, was not at all a surprise. The scale of the attack should have been expected. No one in the U.S. should have assumed anything less given the number of dead during events in Europe.
What is frustrating, however, is that even though these attacks are highly predictable, very few Americans seem to be preparing in any meaningful way to counter them. In fact, I happened across a clip of establishment mouthpiece Bill O’ Reilly the other day arguing that there “is nothing that we can do” to stop such "lone wolf attacks".
Ostensibly, this is an argument against the inevitable push for more gun control by Leftists in the wake of the Orlando massacre; but it also sets a dangerous and false precedent in the minds of the public. The fact of the matter is, the American people CAN stop the majority of terrorist attacks of this nature anytime they wish, without the aid of government or the implementation of unconstitutional gun control measures.
On the “progressive” side of the debate, of course, their only solution is to promote more gun control. They have a habit of exploiting every tragedy in order to defile the 2nd Amendment and dance in the blood of mass shooting victims while furthering their agendas. They could not care less about the people who died, they only care about the political capital their deaths can buy.

Judge Napolitano: Why I will always defend the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense
Most of the mass killings by gun in the United States in recent years -- Columbine, Virginia Tech, Aurora, Newtown, Charleston, San Bernardino and now Orlando -- took place in venues where local or state law prohibited carrying guns, even by those lawfully licensed to do so. The government cheerfully calls these venues “gun-free zones.” They should be called killing zones.
As unspeakable and horrific as is the recent slaughter in Orlando, it has become just another example of the tragic consequences of government's interfering with the exercise of fundamental liberties. After a while, these events cease to shock; but they should not cease to cause us to re-examine what the government has done to us.
We know from reason, human nature and history that the right to defend yourself is a natural instinct that is an extension of the right to self-preservation, which is itself derived from the right to live.
Life is the great gift from the Creator, and we have a duty to exercise our freedoms to preserve life until its natural expiration. But the lives we strive to preserve should not be those actively engaged in killing innocent life.

Gangs and crime: How extensive is the problem in Montgomery Co.?
"One way in which the Latino community is affected by gang violence is connected to the recent influx of unaccompanied minors to the United States."ROCKVILLE, Md. — Montgomery County police report that typically, they may have one, perhaps two, gang-related homicides in any given year. Last year, there were eight, most of whom are also gang members.
“It’s not random victims — these are targeted victims,” Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger told the county council Thursday night.
Manger directed the council members to maps in a packet provided by police that pinpointed where juvenile crime — not just gang-related crime — occurs. He highlighted clusters of criminal activity in the Cinnamon Woods area of Germantown, in Montgomery Village, in Aspen Hill, in White Oak and in the Briggs-Chaney area of the county.
During the hourslong briefing, Montgomery County Council Member George Leventhal took pains to emphasize that gang activity shouldn’t be seen as a problem in the Latino community alone, and Manger’s description of the problem bolstered that.

Fact-Checking Snopes: Website’s Political ‘Fact-Checker’ Is Just A Failed Liberal Blogger
Popular myth-busting website Snopes originally gained recognition for being the go-to site for disproving outlandish urban legends -such as the presence of UFOs in Haiti or the existence of human-animal hybrids in the Amazon jungle.
Recently, however, the site has tried to pose as a political fact-checker. But Snopes’ “fact-checking” looks more like playing defense for prominent Democrats like Hillary Clinton and it’s political “fact-checker” describes herself as a liberal and has called Republicans “regressive” and afraid of “female agency.”
Snopes’ main political fact-checker is a writer named Kim Lacapria. Before writing for Snopes, Lacapria wrote for Inquisitr, a blog that — oddly enough — is known for publishing fake quotes and even downright hoaxes as much as anything else.

Suspect Nabbed In Burglary Spree
OCEAN CITY — A Pennsylvania man was arrested on armed robbery, burglary and assault charges last weekend after getting caught breaking into a downtown residence and being found in possession of numerous stolen items and cash from a series of break-ins.
Around 5:40 a.m. last Friday, Ocean City Police were canvassing the area around 12th and 13th streets for a suspect wanted in connection with a serious of residential burglaries. One of the victims assisted the police by tracking her roommate’s stolen iPhone to the area of 13th Street. OCPD officers responded and observed a suspect matching the description provided in front of a residence on 13th Street near Dayton Lane.
The officers observed Darren Moore, 20, of Elverson, Pa., attempting to open a window above an air conditioner. The officers observed Moore allegedly cut the window screen with a knife in an attempt to gain entry to the unit. Around the same time, an occupant of the residence opened the front door after hearing Moore allegedly cutting the screen. Police then met with another resident of the building who said her front door screen had been cut and it wasn’t in that condition earlier.
The officers met with yet another victim who told police he had been awakened by a loud bang and it was determined to be likely caused by Moore attempting to break down the front door. That victim told police he was renting the unit with a group of friends for a weekend bachelor party. The officers questioned the other men in the group to determine what had been stolen. The investigation revealed a 30-pack of beer, around $300 in cash and a white iPhone had been stolen.

Is an Islamic Radical Advising This National Security Agency?
A current adviser to the Department of Homeland Security is a Muslim leader who has accused America of doing Israel’s “dirty work,” named Israel as a “suspect” in the September 11 terror attacks and has been criticized as an apologist for terrorists.
Salam Al-Marayati is the president of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. He currently serves on the Homeland Security Advisory Committee’s (HSAC) Foreign Fighter Task Force, as well as the HSAC Subcommittee on Faith Based Security and Communications. (Note: this is not the Muslim DHS advisor The Daily Caller wrote about on Monday.)
In 2001, Al-Marayati suggested that Israel — not Islamic extremists — was ultimately behind the September 11 terror attacks.
“If we’re going to look at suspects, we should look to the groups that benefit the most from these kinds of incidents, and I think we should put the state of Israel on the suspect list because I think this diverts attention from what’s happening in the Palestinian territories so that they can go on with their aggression and occupation and apartheid policies,” he said.

BLACK LIVES MATTER CLAIMS to be WORKING with WHITE HOUSE. Will attempt to shut down Trump’s Nomination
If the Tweets are true, then Cleveland, Ohio is in for one hell of a week.
The Twitter account belonging to Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson was hacked Friday morning, June 10. The hacker sent out a series of tweets “uncharacteristic” of Mckesson, including an endorsement for Donald Trump, reported the Baltimore Sun.
Mckesson confirmed he is not supporting Trump. “No, I do not endorse Trump as the next President. He cannot be the President of the United States. He is racist & a bigot, unfit to lead,” McKesson tweeted.
Mckesson said, “There’s a long history of people trying to silence those committed to civil rights and justice work. A hacker attempted to silence me and with the support of Twitter and others in tech, I was able to regain access to my accounts quickly,” Mckesson told Baltimore Sun.
The hacker did more than just tweet out a few messages in Mckesson’s name, however. Allegedly, screenshots were captured and made public of messages between Mckesson and other BLM leaders. The conversations included discussion about how to cause so much chaos and disruption that both the Democrat and Republican conventions would be shut down, a declaration of martial law “so Obama can stay in office”, and an allegation that Attorney General Loretta Lynch was anxious for Black Lives Matter to double down on their efforts.

High-Speed Chase Reaches 180 MPH
OCEAN CIT — A Glen Burnie man faces a slew of traffic and criminal charges this week after a high-speed chase last weekend that began in Ocean City, continued into northern Worcester County and returned back to the resort again before the suspect ditched his motorcycle and fled police on foot.
Around 3:20 a.m. last Sunday, an OCPD officer on uniformed patrol in the area of Coastal Highway and Route 90 when he heard a motorcycle accelerating at a high rate of speed. The officer noted in his report he actually heard the motorcycle accelerating before he saw it. The officer observed the operator, later identified as Deshea Brooks, 31, of Glen Burnie, heading westbound on Route 90 while following vehicles at a dangerously close distance, passing vehicles by crossing the center line on the two-lane highway and passing vehicles on the shoulder. The officer clocked Brooks going 86 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone.
According to police reports, the officer activated his lights and siren in an attempt to affect a traffic stop, but Brooks failed to stop and accelerated away even faster. With Brooks leaving Ocean City corporate limits, the OCPD officer broadcasted a description of the motorcycle and the operator to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office.
Worcester County Sheriff’s Deputies picked up the pursuit as the chase continued through northern Worcester County including Berlin with speeds reaching 180 mph at different times. Worcester County Sheriff’s Deputies discontinued their pursuit when they learned one of their officers had stopped Brooks and issued to him a minor traffic citation prior to the OCPD’s initial contact with him. Essentially, with information on Brooks and his motorcycle already in hand, there was no reason to continue the dangerous high-speed pursuit.

Essentially, with information on Brooks and his motorcycle already in hand, there was no reason to continue the dangerous high-speed pursuit.

Dozen Turtles Released On Assateague Island
BERLIN – “There they go!”
While it wasn’t much of a race the crowd cheered excitedly as the National Aquarium released a dozen sea turtles at Assateague Island National Seashore Thursday. The release, which coincided with World Sea Turtle Day, also marked the 25th anniversary of the National Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Program. Since 1991, the program has rescued, treated and released more than 160 animals, many of them along the Maryland coast.
“It’s always a great feeling when you can return these animals to their natural habitat,” said Jennifer Dittmar, manager of the animal rescue program.
Thursday’s release, which took place at the north end of Assateague Island, featured 10 rehabilitated Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles from the Pittsburgh Zoo and two rehabbed green sea turtles. Dittmar said all of the turtles had suffered from cold stunning, the state turtles enter when they’re exposed to cold water suddenly.
“It causes a low body temperature and then crashes their immune system,” Dittmar said.

OC Resident Vs. Non-Resident Rec Fees Weighed
OCEAN CITY — A review of the proposed revenue and user-fee policy for Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department camps and programs this week led to a spirited debate about how much of the burden should be borne by the resident taxpayers compared to non-resident users.
During Tuesday’s Recreation and Parks Committee meeting, members began reviewing the proposed revenue and user-fee policy for next year, leading to a lengthy discourse on the fees that are charged to residents and non-residents for the department’s countless programs, camps and sports leagues. For years, the department has charged one fee for Ocean City residents and a slightly higher fee for non-residents.
The amount of difference varies by program and camp for a variety of reasons, and there is no standard straight percentage in the gap. For some programs, the non-resident fee is considerably higher, while for others, the difference can be as little as 10 percent.
During Tuesday’s review of the proposed revenue and user-fee structure for next year and beyond, Councilman Dennis Dare pointed out the residents already pay for a lot of the facilities and other fixed costs through taxes and encouraged the committee to take a closer look at the divide between resident and non-resident fees.

Can OC Enforce New Uber Regs? Officials Worried About Keeping Level Playing Field For Taxi Industry
OCEAN CITY — As Uber grows in popularity in the resort, so too are the number of questions city officials have about what state laws allow in regards to enforcing these app-based ride sharing services, also known as Transportation Network Companies (TNC’s).
Several elected officials, including Mayor Rick Meehan, Councilmen Dennis Dare, Doug Cymek and Lloyd Martin and State Senator Jim Mathias (D-District 38) met with representatives of the Maryland Public Service Commission on Tuesday to find out how to properly enforce recently passed regulations for TNC’s like Uber and Lyft.
If the informational meeting was any indication, it appears while the regulations may be “black and white,” as per the PSC, many still believe those regulations allow companies like Uber to operate in a bit of a ‘gray area.”

Repeat Offender Ordinance Headed To Council; Ocean City Could Pass As Emergency Measure
OCEAN CITY — Resort officials this week advanced an ordinance that will, if approved, enhance penalties for those issued civil citations for various offenses but flaunt the law and continue the same illegal activity throughout the same day.
Last month, the Police Commission began cursory discussions about enhanced subsequent penalties for individuals who might receive a civil citation for a minor offense early in the day and continue the same illegal activity for the rest of the day. The commission began exploring another tool in the tool box that would allow police officers to issue stiffer penalties for repeat offenders.
On Wednesday, the Police Commission continued that debate and ultimately voted to forward an ordinance to the Mayor and Council as soon as this Monday. Because of the time of year and the onset of the summer season, the measure will be considered an emergency ordinance when it comes before the elected officials on Monday and would be effective immediately upon its passage.
OCPD Captain Kevin Kirstein said the idea had its roots in the street performers, some of whom in the past would not adhere to the regulations on the Boardwalk in terms of where they could operate or noise levels, for example. However, Kirstein said on Wednesday the enhanced penalties could be applied to other municipal infractions.

Berlin vandals’ probation altered, not violated
While dubious of the defendants’ claim of inability to find anywhere within Berlin to conduct their court-mandated community service, Judge Gerald Purnell nonetheless approved an alteration to that condition as well as imposing a few others on the Berlin vandals during a hearing last Friday.
Jordan Denton, 19, of Ocean City and Nick Bonser, 18, of Ocean Pines were sentenced to 150 hours each of community service in Berlin, were to write letters of apology to the town, serve two years’ worth of probation and make restitution of about $3,000 each last June.
Both were called before the judge for suspected violation of the probation agreement reached as part of a plea deal. Denton was legally an adult at the time of the January 2015 incident, Bonser was almost 18 and was charged as an adult, and an unidentified minor admitted involvement with the crimes.
Purnell said he’d never heard of a town that didn’t need any sort of help, but wasn’t going to challenge the claims of the pair as long as the state, represented by Paul Haskell, didn’t have a problem.

Summer Vacation
Summer vacation means different things to different people. It might be a trip to a theme park or a week-long stay at the beach. Many people use that extended time to visit relatives, a car trip for shorter distances or a plane ride to farther destinations.
When I was growing up, summer vacations were alternately spent going to Buffalo, NY or renting a vacation cottage in Ocean City. I didn’t like Ocean City at all. Being fair skinned, I would burn quickly and they didn’t have all the concoctions they have today to prevent it. I usually hit my mother up for a few bucks and would spend the day on the boardwalk playing arcade games. Mom would put a T-shirt on me but that never sufficed. Besides the burning sun, the water always smelled of iron at the cottage, and the streets would burn your feet. No, there wasn’t a thing I liked about Ocean City. After two or three days, I would usually beg to come back to Salisbury where I would hang around with my grandfather. Pop was home because he didn’t like Ocean City, either.
Every other year, we would take our vacation to go to Buffalo, NY. All my father’s relatives were there. He had moved here in 1939 with Martin & Schwartz, but wanted to stay in touch with his family. The total trip was 435 miles and took two days. Anybody that has traveled with little children knows what I’m talking about. The two highlights of the trip were Route 896 from Bear, DE to Lancaster, PA. It was 35 miles long, and Pop would always try to make it in less than an hour. My sister and I loved it when the old Ford would lurch over the little bridges that frequently were encountered along this stretch of road. The other entailed getting past Harrisburg, PA on Route 15. Somewhere on this part of the trip, Route 15 traversed the river, but Pop never seemed to find the right way and we ended up lost.
Our stop-over was always in Sunbury, PA. Pop determined it to be the half-way point, so that was our destination for the first day, coming or going. I remember one trip in the late 1950’s where we were in Sunbury and went to a movie that night. It was a double feature and both films were in 3-D – a phenomenon at the time. Since both of them never came to Salisbury, I was envied by many of my peers upon returning home.
I always liked the trip to Buffalo. My relatives always made sure we went to Crystal Beach, Canada, where they had an amusement park. It was nothing like Disney World, but, to a small boy, it was a total wonder, with a roller coaster and a fun house.
Once, when I was about 3, I left my Teddy bear in a restaurant. When it was finally discovered, I was inconsolable. So much so that my father had to drive back almost 100 miles to placate me. I still have that bear. Teddy might be threadbare and one-eyed, but he brings back many a nice memory. I got him on my first Christmas in 1943, so he rightfully deserves his place of honor in my corner cabinet. His memories of summer vacation probably include the time he thought he had been abandoned.
House rejects effort to ban illegal immigrants from military service
In a break from previous votes on the issue, the House on Thursday rejected two GOP proposals to prevent the Obama administration from enlisting young illegal immigrants to serve in the military.
Lawmakers voted down two measures offered by immigration hard-liners Reps. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) that would have prohibited the use of federal money to enlist young illegal immigrants who have been granted work permits under President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
More than 30 Republicans with more centrist views on immigration joined all Democrats in opposing the two amendments offered to a Defense Department spending bill. The amendments failed narrowly with votes of 207-214 and 210-211, respectively.
Certain young illegal immigrants qualify for DACA if they came to the U.S. as minors and have worked toward at least a high school education, among other requirements.

3 Key Democratic Claims on Guns Get Fact-Checked by WaPo — Here’s What They Found
In the week following the worst mass shooting in American history, politicians in Washington, D.C., particularly Democrats, have made numerous claims related to gun violence. But is any of what they’re saying actually true, or just more talking points?
The Washington Post fact-checked three specific claims made by two Democratic senators, and found that, at least in these instances, there’s more political rhetoric being stated than veracity.
Claim No. 1: More Gun Control=Less Gun Crime
“What we know is that in states that have imposed those reasonable limitations, there are less gun crimes. There are less homicides.”
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) made this statement Wednesday during a speech on the Senate floor.
Murphy’s staff told the Post that he was referring to a chart published by the National Journal in 2015, which shows the states that had the most “gun-related deaths” in 2013, the most recent year for which data were available, and whether those states require background checks, permits, waiting periods or have so-called “stand your ground” laws.
But because of how Murphy worded his claim, referring not to “gun-related deaths,” which would include suicides, but to “gun crimes” and “homicides,” the Post gave the claim three Pinocchios.

Trailer - A Stranger in Town (1943) A MUST WATCH VIDEO
This is a short clip of A Stranger in Town where the star, Frank Morgan, is giving a speech concerning the responsibilities of citizenship. Regretfully, far too many of today's 'citizens' don't fulfill their responsibility to help keep American free and uncorrupted. We are now faced with the most corrupt administration this country has ever seen. Much can be gained by watching this little gem about small town corruption and what it takes to rid the town of corrupt and evil politicians. The same principals apply to our national politicians and government as well.
Pet cemetery 'nightmare' at Delaware SPCA
Today, the Delaware SPCA, the state’s oldest animal welfare organization that once handled dog control for all three counties, will shutter its Stanton facility and continue negotiations to sell the sprawling, nearly 21-acre property.
But what’s buried three feet under threatens to derail the deal.
Behind the newly renovated shelter building at 455 Stanton Christiana Road is a weedy, overgrown lot that contains the bagged remains of more than 1,000 animals — in what was meant to be their final resting place. The inhabitants include "Captain," the country's first police dog; Igloo, the Brandywine Zoo bear; Minnie Pearl, a goat; and mother-daughter poodles Brigitte and Babette.
But with potential commercial development banging on the door of the cash-strapped nonprofit organization, irate pet owners are being told that they have until the end of the month to remove their pets' headstones, along with exhuming and relocating what's left of the animals' bodies, if they so choose.
"That is going to be a heartbreaking nightmare," said Kurt Gingher, who spent a recent steamy weekend using a scraper to clear off several hundred stones until he found the two marked with his pets' names. An Internet company owner who lives in Thailand, Gingher happened to be in town visiting his family in Elsmere when he heard about the shelter closure.

Obama's Million Muslim March
The Obama Administration is on pace to issue more than a million green cards to migrants from majority-Muslim countries, according to an analysis of Department of Homeland Security data.
A chart released by the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest Friday details the surge in immigration to the U.S. from majority-Muslim countries since President Barack Obama took office in 2009.
Specifically, in the first six fiscal years of Obama’s presidency (FY2009 – FY2014), his administration issued 832,014 green cards to migrants majority-Muslim countries, the most of which were issued to migrants from Pakistan (102,000), Iraq (102,000), Bangladesh (90,000), Iran (85,000), Egypt (56,000), and Somalia (37,000).
The total 832,014 new permanent residents do not include migrants on temporary, nonimmigrant visas — which allow foreign nationals to come to the U.S. temporarily for work, study, tourism and the like. As the subcommittee notes, the number also does not include those migrants who overstayed the terms of their visas.

Virginia Gun Store Files Accusation With ATF Over CBS Producer’s AR-15 Purchase
An Arlington, Va., gun store has filed an accusation with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives against a CBS News producer who bought an AR-15 rifle to show how easy it is to do so.
The store alleges that the producer, Paula Reid, may have violated a law intended to keep guns out of the hands of people unable to make a legal firearm purchase.
Reid went to the firearms dealer SpecDive Tactical for a news segment for “CBS This Morning” with the stated intent of purchasing the rifle for herself. CBS reported that the transaction took 38 minutes. SpecDive Tactical told The Daily Caller the transaction took place Tuesday.
Kris Van Cleeve, reporting on the segment for CBS, stated, “As for the rifle we legally purchased, it was transferred to a federally licensed firearm dealer and weapons instructor in Virginia following state law within hours of us purchasing the weapon.”

How to Grill Vegetables Grilling Veggies is Easy and the Results are Delicious
Grilling vegetables is a great way to bring out sweet, toasty, caramelized flavors that other cooking techniques won't. And there's very little prep involved. All you really need to do is toss the raw veggies in olive oil, sprinkle them with Kosher saltand get them on the grill.
(Scroll down to see some guidelines for grilling specific veggies.)
Still, you can't grill veggies the same way you grill a steak.
A steak needs a very hot grill, whereas vegetables are more delicate and need a more moderate temperature. Moreover, not all vegetables are suitable for grilling, either because of their size and shape or because they're just too delicate. In just a bit we'll talk about what kinds of vegetables are good for grilling and how to do it.
