Today is the 27th, today is the 26th. Darn that school board for throwing us off.

  5. Can anyone explain to me how schools are closed tomorrow and sports are still being played? I see where our priorities are. Someone needs to tell us why that is happening.

  8. 9:20. Just wait till tomorrow and you will see. Teams are playing. Not sure if any are being played in Wicomico schools but teams are traveling and playing.

  9. Schools should be year 'round.

  10. Crazy if you think year round school will fly. Look at everyone that's complaining about starting before Labor Day and how it cuts into summer vacations and working at the beach.

  11. Games are scheduled at JMB and Parkside tomorrow and Wi Hi girls travel to Easton. Will see if they actually play. If my grandkids can't be in school and they play, somebody is getting a call.

  12. The rule is that games are not played in this county if schools are closed that day. Same for dances, plays and everything else. Let's see if we follow the rules.

  13. It's interesting that most of the private schools will be open -- some with a delay.

  14. I'm pretty sure most private school kids don't wait at bus stops. Perhaps many of them are walkers, but I doubt it.

  15. No school. But kids can go sledding all day? Not too cold for that!

  16. Are the sports events being held tonight even though schools were closed?

  17. Joe..

Can you please pose this question? Why, if my grandkids could not go to school today, are the two local high schools allowed to have basketball games at home tonight? I was talking with my neighbor and he said his child has a game tonight at Bennett. I called the BOE today and was told that Parkside is playing at home tonight too.

I guess that sports is more important than my 2 grandson's education. Ridiculous!
