Obama Bio Read By Fourth-Graders Suggests Whites Are Racist, Details President's Past Drug Use

A biography of President Obama being studied by at least one fourth-grade class has received criticism for glossing over negative aspects of the president, painting white voters as likely racists and highlighting the commander-in-chief’s early identity struggles by focusing on his teenage drug use.

The book, “Barack Obama,” was published by Lerner Publishing in 2010 as part of their series “History Maker Bios.” All presidents going back to Richard Nixon -- except George W. Bush -- were the subjects of similar biographies published by Lerner, which did not respond to questions from FoxNews.com.

Critics also say the new Obama book is biased, pointing to a passage that reads, “but some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president.”

Obamacare-Speak

The Obama administration is altering its language like there’s no tomorrow.

The Obama administration once gave us “man-caused disasters” for acts of terrorism and “workplace violence” for the Fort Hood shootings. Now it has trumped those past linguistic contortions by changing words to mask the Obamacare disaster.

The president and his advisers apparently knew long ago that millions of the insured would face cancellations or premium hikes once Obamacare was fully implemented. Yet to get the 906-page bill passed, they had to convince the public of the very opposite scenario. So they repeated ironclad guarantees that no one would lose their coverage or doctors — “period!”

MCCONNELL: TEA PARTY 'BULLIES' WHO NEED PUNCH IN NOSE

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a “nothing but a bunch of bullies” that he plans to “punch … in the nose.”

On the call, according to a donor who was on it, McConnell personally named Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as Tea Party conservatives he views as problematic for him. “The bulk of it was an attack on the Tea Party in general, Cruz in particular,” the source, a prominent donor, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News.

But the most memorable line came at the end of the call.

“McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.’”

Trickle Down Recovery: Monetary Expansion, Excess Bank Reserves, And Leftovers For Main Street

“Trickle-down theory - the less than elegant metaphor that if one feeds the horse enough oats, some will pass through to the road for the sparrows.”
John Kenneth Galbraith

"There are those who believe that if you just legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous, that their prosperity will leak through on those below."
William Jennings Bryant

"Gentlemen! I too have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States. I have had men watching you for a long time, and am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country.

When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the Bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the Bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin.

Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out, and by the Eternal, (bringing his fist down on the table) I will rout you out!
Andrew Jackson

It is not quite as straightforward as this, but the two charts below help to illustrate a point that the Fed, and the government, are pursuing a 'top down' approach to a recovery from the banking crisis as a matter of policy.

And one of the most consequential flaws in this policy error is that the financial system, and a fiscal policy that largely favors the one percent, are largely unreformed. Big money has thoroughly corrupted the political process.

I cannot tell from the Fed's descriptions whether these excess reserves include any funds which they may have committed to foreign owned banks that are not included within the Fed's definition of their own 'depository institutions.'

‘YOU DID WHAT?’: POLICE AMAZED AT WOMAN WHO TOOK MATTERS INTO HER OWN HANDS AFTER HER CAR WAS STOLEN

A Massachusetts woman who refused to be a victim after her car was stolen decided to take matters into her own hands.

Lisa Paulson said she noticed her car was missing Tuesday morning and immediately reported it to the police, WFXT-TV in Boston reported. However, she was told by authorities that not much could be done until the car resurfaced.

“I was really frustrated it was like, ‘OK, either it will turn up or it won’t,” Paulson said

WSJ's Henninger: Obama 'Has U.S. Economy on Lockdown'

Far worse than President Barack Obama's healthcare plan is the way his policies have hobbled the economy, says Wall Street Journal Deputy Editorial Page Director Daniel Henninger.

Obama was not to blame for the 2008 Depression-like financial meltdown, "but five years on, in the fall of 2013, the country's economy is still sick," and that is the president's responsibility, Henninger wrote in his column posted online Wednesday night.

"Unemployed middle-aged men look in the mirror and see someone who may never work again. Young married couples who should be on the way up are living in their parents' basement. Many young black men (official unemployment rate 28 percent; unofficial rate off the charts) have no prospect of work."

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development projects U.S. economic growth for the rest of the year will be 1.7 percent, or what Henninger said was the "about the average rate of growth of the U.S. economy for the entire Obama presidency."

Hero Pakistani Doc Who Helped Get Bin Laden Hit With Dubious Murder Charge

Shakil Afridi, the hero Pakistani doctor who helped the CIA pinpoint Osama bin Laden's compound ahead of the Navy SEAL raid that killed the Al Qaeda leader, has been charged with murder - for trying to save a little boy stricken with appendicitis six years ago, according to his attorney.

The bizarre charge comes as international pressure mounts on Pakistan to free Afridi, who was sentenced last year to 33 years in prison for "conspiring against the state," a sanction western observers believe was a pretext to punish him for helping the U.S. Afridi executed a vaccination ruse that helped establish Bin Laden's presence in an Abbottabad compound, a development seen as embarrassing for Pakistan, which claimed not to know the world's most wanted man was living openly a stone's throw away from a military complex.

Did Bill Dudley Just Unveil The Fed's Real Taper "Scapegoat" Plan?

That the Fed has a problem is increasingly well known - despite the blather from the mainstream media that QE monetization can continue ad infinitum. Their problem, of course, is running out of government-provided liabilities to monetize (as deficits shrink and their ownership of the entire Treasury complex surges). They face other problems (as we have noted before) but the admission that they are boxed in would have major ramifications in the market's faith. So, how does the Fed, faced with the knowledge that they have created asset bubbles, broken the bond market, and are boxed in by their own excess still meet the market's undying desire to keep the flow going? Bill Dudley just, perhaps inadvertently, dropped a hint of the next 'market/scapegoat' for monetization - Student loans.

Bear in mind that the "taper" is all about economic cover for a forced move the Fed has to make, because:

1. Deficits are shrinking and the Fed has less and less room for its buying

2. Under the surface, various non-mainstream technicalities are breaking in the markets due to the size of the Fed's position (repo markets, bond specialness, and fail-to-delivers among them).

3. Sentiment is critical; if the public starts to believe (as Kyle Bass warned) that the central bank is monetizing the government's debt (which it clearly is), then the game accelerates away from them very quickly - and we suspect they fear we are close to that tipping point

4. The rest of the world is not happy. As Canada just noted, the US monetary policy will be discussed at the G-20

Republicans To Keep Cuts If Budget Talks Fail: Boehner

(Reuters) - Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives will pursue a stopgap government funding bill that keeps "sequester" automatic spending cuts in place if congressional negotiators fail to reach a budget deal, U.S. House Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday.

Boehner told reporters that he hopes budget talks led by Republican Representative Paul Ryan and Democratic Senator Patty Murray can produce a deal that sets spending levels for fiscal 2014.

"I'm hopeful, but if not, the House will be prepared to move" a 2014 spending bill at levels specified by the Budget Control Act, Boehner said.

Wife Says Zimmerman Has Unraveled Since Trial

The estranged wife of George Zimmerman said Thursday she thinks her husband has unraveled since he was acquitted in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

"I don't know who George is anymore," Shellie Zimmerman said on Katie Couric's show "Katie." After his murder trial, he became unpredictable and "a pacing lion."

"I like to think I married a person who was a good person, and going through the past year and a half, I don't know how that changes a person, or how a person's spirit breaks, but it certainly seems that's what happened to him."

Later, she said: "He does seem like a ticking time-bomb."

‘Cornhusker Kickback’ Senator Meets With Obama To Talk Obamacare Fix

Former Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, who voted for Obamacare after securing the “Cornhusker kickback” for his state, met with President Barack Obama Wednesday to talk about how to fix the law.

Nelson retired from the Senate in January and almost immediately boosted his salary over five times by becoming the CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

The association is a trade group that lobbies Congress and the administration for favorable laws and policies for its members. Nelson is technically banned from lobbying Congress for two years, but is allowed to lobby the executive branch.

Pelosi: I Never Met ‘Anybody Who Liked His Or Her Plan’

Asked whether she needed to apologize to the formerly insured who have lost their health insurance plans, former House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said, “Did I ever tell my constituents that if they liked their plan they could keep it? I would have if I’d ever met anybody who liked his or her plan. But that was not my experience.”

Pelosi, whose net worth — combined with her husband’s — is estimated between $35 and $180 million, never “met anybody who liked his or her plan”? Her out-of-touch comment reminds one of then-New Yorker film critic, liberal Pauline Kael. In 1972, after Republican Richard Nixon crushed Democrat George McGovern, 49 states to one, a shell-shocked Kael said, “Nobody I know voted for Nixon.”

Enrollment At Maryland Colleges Down Slightly

A newly released state Board of Regents report indicates fewer students showed up on Maryland college campuses this fall.

The enrollment decline was even more telling for some of the state's Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The enrollment numbers are based, in part, on how many students reported to campus last year as opposed to this fall. They give college administrators a pretty good idea of whose signing up for a higher education.

SOWELL: The War Against Achievement

Self-reliance is out, victimhood is in

A friend recently sent me a link to an inspiring video about an upbeat, young black man, Richie Parker, who was born without arms. It showed him going to work — unlike the record number of people living on government payments for “disabilities” that are far less serious, if not fictitious.

How is this young man getting to work? He gets into his car and drives there — using controls set up so that he can operate the car with his feet.

What kind of work does he do, and how does he do it? He is involved in the design of racing cars. He sits at his computer, looking at the screen, with the keyboard on the floor, where he uses his toes as others use their fingers.

His story recalls the story of Helen Keller, who went to an elite college and on to a career, despite being both deaf and blind. Her story was celebrated in books, in television documentaries and in an inspiring movie, “The Miracle Worker.”

Packed Courtroom For Manhattan Man Accused Of Fishing Without A License

MANHATTAN - It was a packed courtroom on Tuesday for the hearing of Ernie Tertelgte, a Manhattan man who says he's being wrongly prosecuted for trying to feed himself.

Tertelgte, 52 years old, was arrested on Monday and is accused of fishing without a license and then resisting arrest.

He appeared before the judge via video from the Gallatin County Detention Center, and it was standing room only more than a dozen friends and family members filled the small courtroom.

Tertelgte appeared subdued and respectful before the Justice of the Peace during Tuesday's court session, which went very differently than his court appearance earlier this month, where Tertelgte and Three Forks City Judge Wanda Drusch got into a heated exchange.

Terteltge argued that the court did not have the authority to charge him, citing "natural law."

Only The Self-Reliant Remain Free

Who had more freedom?

Was it the pioneer who rode horseback across the Midwest, settled in a wide-open space without paved roads, grocery stores or hospitals, and had to build his own home, cultivate his own food and educate his own children?

Or was it the less-adventuresome brother he left behind in an Eastern city who lived next door to a hospital, across the street from a public school and kitty corner from a grocery store — but in his later years could only get to work if he rode a public transit line and if the transit line ran on time?

I vote for the pioneer. He was not dependent on government. His brother was.

Self-reliance and freedom are inseparable. Americans once knew this in their very souls. Now, coaxed by those with a socialistic vision of government, we are beginning to forget it. We are becoming ever more dependent on government and putting our freedom at risk.

It is as simple as that.

'KNOCKOUT GAME' THRIVES WHERE GUN CONTROL HAS DISARMED CITIZENS

As videos of the "Knockout Game" spread across the Internet and news outlets, the media is underreporting one important fact--the game thrives in cities where gun control has disarmed its citizens. In fact, the game began in places with some of the most stringent gun control in the country--NYC and New Jersey.

The "Knockout Game" is a "game" in which teens walk up to a stranger on a sidewalk or in an alley and try to knock the stranger out with one punch. CBS aired videos of gangs of black New Jersey teens punching random victims--black and white, male and female--all of whom were knocked out cold and left lying on the ground while their attacker fled.

The attacker "scores" if he successfully knocks the victim out with one punch.

Home Sales Plunge At Fastest Rate In 16 Months

It seems, despite the Fed's efforts to unscamble the treasury complex's eggs, that the rate shock of a taper/no-taper decision has become sticky in the housing market. With the fast money exiting, existing home sales missed expectations for the 4th month in a row - dropping to the lowest annualized number since June (very much against the trend in recent years). This is the biggest month-over-month drop in existing home sales since June 2012 but, of course, NAR has an excuse... "low inventory is holding back sales." So, in other words, they could sell loads more houses if only there were more available for sale (or prices were lower...)...

This is not a "seasonal" thing... and in fact is very much against the seasonals of the last few years...

Fake Employment Numbers – And 5 More Massive Economic Lies The Government Is Telling You

According to a whistleblower that has recently come forward, Census employees have been faking and manipulating U.S. employment numbers for years. In fact, it is being alleged that this manipulation was a significant reason for why the official unemployment rate dipped sharply just before the last presidential election. What you are about to read is incredibly disturbing. The numbers that the American people depend upon to make important decisions are being faked.

But should we be surprised by this? After all, Barack Obama has been caught telling dozens of major lies over the past five years. At this point it is incredible that there are any Americans that still trust anything that comes out of his mouth. And of course it is not just Obama that has been lying to us. Corruption and deception are rampant throughout the entire federal government, and this has been the case for years. Now that some light is being shed on this, hopefully the American people will respond with overwhelming outrage and disgust.

The whistleblower that I mentioned above has been speaking to John Crudele of the New York Post. In his new article entitled “Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report“, he says that the huge decline in the unemployment rate in September 2012 was “manipulated”…

According To CBS Poll, Obama's Approval Rating Finally Catches Down With Dubya

Well that escalated quickly. Just a week ago we noted that President Obama's approval rating trajectory was following an increasingly Dubya-esque route and sur eneough, today, a CBS poll shows that a mere 37% "approve" of the job Obama is doing. This is the same poor approval rating as Bush II's second term at this time and perhaps more ironically comes only a month or so after he crowed of the Republicans' collapsing polling results during the debt-ceiling debacle. In aggregate, as RealClearPolitics shows, Obama's approval rating has collapsed to the lowest on record (and likewise his disapproval rating has soared). We await the next 'distraction' from the administration's dismal state of affairs...

Simply out - it's been a one-way street since the election.. Over-promise and under-deliver - the mantra of every 2nd term president...

Kennedy 50 Years Later: Memories Of A Political Writer

I feel compelled to add my own little stream of memory to the flood of recollections surrounding the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination Friday.

Surely many under 55 must marvel at the way their elders hold onto this event and this flawed man. For me, not only was the assassination part of my adolescent formation, but it had a real influence on my involvement in political life. Combined with the writing that I also did as a youth — I won a newspaper writing contest at age 10 or 11 — I can look back and see the beginnings of the meandering line that brought my career to where I am today.

I can remember watching some of the 1956 Democratic convention on black and white TV — or maybe I am remembering the rebroadcasts in later years of that convention when John Kennedy was a serious candidate for vice president.

How Washington D.C. Is Sucking The Life Out Of America

Ever since I started writing about what is happening in the world around me, my primary theme has been that the root cancer at the core of the U.S., and indeed global economy, is cronyism and an absence of the rule of law when it comes to oligarchs. In the U.S., this cronyism is best described as an insidious relationship between large multi-national corporations and big government to funnel all of the wealth and resources of the nation to themselves at the expense of everyone else. In a genuine free market defined by heightened competition and governed by an equal application of the rule of law to all, the 0.1% does not aggregate all of a nation’s wealth. This sort of thing only happens in crony capitalism, which is basically nothing more than complete and total insider deals to aggregate newly created money into the hands of the few.

The following profile of Washington D.C.’s so-called “boom” from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch pretty much tells you all you need to know. While I think the tone of the article is absurd considering this is no “economic boom,” but merely parasitic wealth extraction on a unprecedented scale, it is still quite telling. It is no coincidence that as D.C. has grown wealthier, the nation has become much, much poorer. Key excerpts below:

Drones, Tanks, And Grenade Launchers

Why does a police department which hasn’t had an officer killed in the line of duty in over 125 years in a town of less than 20,000 people need tactical military vests like those used by soldiers in Afghanistan? For that matter, why does a police department in a city of 35,000 people need a military-grade helicopter? And what possible use could police at Ohio State University have for acquiring a heavily-armored vehicle intended to withstand IED blasts?

Why are police departments across the country acquiring heavy-duty military equipment and weaponry? For the same reason that perfectly good roads get repaved, perfectly good equipment gets retired and replaced, and perfectly good employees spend their days twiddling their thumbs—and all of it at taxpayer expense. It’s called make-work programs, except in this case, instead of unnecessary busy work to keep people employed, communities across America are finding themselves “gifted” with drones, tanks, grenadelaunchers and other military equipment better suited to the battlefield. And as I document in my book, A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State, it’s all being done through federal programs that allow the military to “gift” battlefield-appropriate weapons, vehicles and equipment to domestic police departments across the country.

Testimony Gives More Evidence Administration's Benghazi Claims Were ‘Indefensible,’ Rep Says

New classified testimony on Benghazi by five CIA employees shows the administration's initial narrative about a protest gone awry was "indefensible," according to a lawmaker who took part in two classified sessions before the House Intelligence Committee.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News that witnesses described how five mortars rained down on the CIA annex over 90 seconds during the attack -- with three direct hits. King argued that the details raise more questions about why the administration initially claimed the attack sprung from a protest over an anti-Islam film – a narrative officials later abandoned.

"It's indefensible what was said back on September 11, 12, and 13 in 2012, and what the facts really were," King said. Two other members of the intelligence committee involved in the briefings echoed King’s assessment.

Obama’s Noble Lies

Stop worrying whether the president’s statements conform to ossified standards of truth.

What is the common denominator of the Obama administration’s serial scandals — the Justice Department’s spying on AP, the IRS targeting of conservative groups, the NSA surveillance, the lies about Benghazi and the ACA — and much of the White House damage-control rhetoric? In a word: the advancement of postmodern notions of justice at the expense of traditional truth.

By the 1980s, in law schools, university social-science departments, and the humanities in general, the old relativist idea of Plato’s noble lies was given a new French facelift. Traditional morality and ethics were dismissed as arbitrary constructs, predicated on privileged notions of race, class, and gender. The new moral architecture did not rely on archaic abidance by the niceties of “truth,” which simply reinforced traditional oppressive hierarchies.

Ocean City Settles Busker Lawsuit; Violinist To Receive $21K In Damages

OCEAN CITY — The civil suit filed by a street performer last April challenging Ocean City’s newly implemented 30-foot rule on the Boardwalk was settled this week with a permanent injunction against the town from imposing the ordinance change and restitution to the plaintiff for his lost compensation.

Last April, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed suit in federal court on behalf of violinist William Hassay, Jr. challenging the town’s noise ordinance changes on the Boardwalk the organization believes are an attempt to silence musicians. In the suit filed against the Mayor and Council and then-acting-Police Chief Michael Colbert, the ACLU alleged the enforcement of the town’s 30-foot noise ordinance on the Boardwalk infringed on Hassay’s, and other performers’ fundamental right under the First Amendment to engage in freedom of speech and expression in a public forum.

In July, U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Hollander issued an opinion granting a preliminary injunction and essentially prohibiting the town from enforcing the 30-foot rule for street performers on the Boardwalk until the case was resolved, which ultimately carried over for the rest of the summer season. With the preliminary injunction in place, all that was left to be resolved was the long-term future of the town of Ocean City’s 30-foot rule for Boardwalk street performers and what, if any, damages should be paid by the city to Hassay.

Efforts To Promote The Integrity Of Maryland Correctional Institutions Continue

Maryland Prison Task Force's Work Leads to More Indictments

ANNAPOLIS, MD
 – In 2011, Maryland officials spearheaded the creation of the Maryland Corrections Task Force, a partnership between federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel to combat gangs and root out corruption in Maryland correctional institutions.

Rod Rosenstein, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, stated, "Everybody in the task force anticipated it would result in the prosecution of a significant number of correctional officers."

As a result of coordinated efforts between federal, state, and local partners, an investigation was launched that led to the indictments in April 2013 of 25 individuals, including 13 correctional officers.

The Maryland Task Force continued its work after April, and today that case took another important step forward, as 19 additional individuals -- including 14 correctional officers -- were indicted. The charges filed today are part of the same case that was launched in April; it was filed under the same case number and will be heard by the same judge. As the U.S Attorney stated today, "The new charges focus on criminal conduct that occurred prior to April 2013."

"We express our gratitude for the continued good work and responsiveness of the U.S. Attorney's office and our federal law enforcement partners," Gov. O'Malley said. "Since April, we have redoubled our efforts to crack down on corruption and improve security at our correctional institutions -- protecting the integrity of our correctional institutions requires constant vigilance, and we continue to improve those efforts every day."

The attached document summarizes many of the significant actions we've taken since April 2013 to improve security and combat corruption at BCDC. One of the actions we've taken is to form a partnership with the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office and the Maryland State Police to create an anti-corruption investigations team called the City Corrections Investigative Unit (CCIU). CCIU is currently prosecuting 31 individuals (7 of whom are correctional officers). In fact, two of the correctional officers indicted by the U.S. Attorney's Office today are already being prosecuted by CCIU.

STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR O’MALLEY ON SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER JOBS REPORT

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (November 22, 2013) – Governor Martin O’Malley today issued the following statement on the U.S. Department of Labor’s release of preliminary employment data for the month of September and October Jobs Report:

“After Maryland achieved positive job growth in 7 of the last 12 months, Congress chose to enact harmful sequestration cuts, put us through a costly and unnecessary government shutdown, and brought us to the brink of a confidence-shaking national credit default -- all of which create a drag on economic growth and slow job creation.

“Despite these unnecessary economic headwinds, Maryland has shown tremendous growth and resilience, with our private sector leading the way by creating 23,000 new jobs over the past 12 months, or eight out ten new jobs. And Maryland’s unemployment rate, while still too high, is more than eight percent below the national average.

“In addition, all three major credit ratings agencies have re-affirmed Maryland’s fiscally responsible approach by certifying our State as one of only nine with a Triple A bond rating. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce ranks Maryland #1 for entrepreneurship and innovation for the second year in a row and in the top ten for economic performance for the fourth consecutive year. There is still more work to be done, but by coming together to make better choices we will continue to create opportunities for a growing and upwardly mobile middle class.”

Homes Raided, Subpoenas Issued Targeting Conservative Groups And Allies Of Scott Walker

In Wisconsin, dozens of conservative groups and allies of Gov. Scott Walker are undergoing political intimidation from the left at the hands of a special prosecutor.

Subpoenas have been issued demanding correspondence and donor information of right-leaning organizations and individuals and raids have been conducted resulting in law enforcement officers taking computers and files in a secret investigation, according to reports.

“In recent weeks, special prosecutor Francis Schmitz has hit dozens of conservative groups with subpoenas demanding documents related to the 2011 and 2012 campaigns to recall Governor Walker and state legislative leaders,” the Wall Street Journal writes.

Black-Clad Einsatzgruppen Confiscate Guns In California

Einsatzgruppen are special paramilitary task forces, the most notorious of which were the death squads deployed by Germany’s National Socialist regime. The contemporary American soyuz is lousy with einsatzgruppen, some of which — such as the Pima County, Arizona SWAT team, which murdered Jose Guerena in his Tucson home – behave in a fashion almost indistinguishable from their German antecedents.

The State of California’s Armed Prohibited Persons System (APPS) has created aneinsatzgruppe dedicated exclusively to gun confiscation. Using gun registration lists, the APPS stormtroopers, “arriving in SUVs and dressed in black tactical uniforms … regularly sweep through California cities” to seize firearms from people the state has designated “prohibited persons,” reports the Fresno Bee. A criminal conviction is not necessary for enrollment on the civilian disarmament register; all that is necessary is an official finding by the state’s Welfare bureaucracy that the gun owner is “a danger to himself or others.”

Donor Fatigue? Tickets To Obama Fundraiser In California Now 50 Percent Off

The Democratic National Committee is reducing ticket prices for a high-dollar fundraiser in San Francisco next week that features President Obama, according to an email sent to donors Monday.

Obama is set to appear at a luncheon at the SFJAZZ Center on Nov. 25 to benefit the DNC, but whether it's a sign of donor fatigue or a general lack of interest, tickets have not been selling as expected.

"An exciting new update I would love to mention is that we have reduced the price for the general admission luncheon tickets to $500/person," Shefali Razdan Duggal, a member of the DNC's national finance committee, wrote in the email. "In addition, all current $1000 ticket holders will be upgraded to VIP (this includes premium seating near the stage and Presidential rope line access)."

Originally, entry-level tickets for the event started at $1,000, so the DNC is offering what amounts to a 50 percent discount.

The Kennedy Assassination (November 22, 1963) 50 Years Later

November 22, 2013, is the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The true story of JFK's murder has never been officially admitted, although the conclusion that JFK was murdered by a plot involving the Secret Service, the CIA and the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been well established by years of research, such as that provided by James W. Douglass in his book, JFK And The Unspeakable, published by Simon & Schuster in 2008. Ignore Douglass's interest in the Trappist monk Thomas Merton and Merton's prediction and focus on the heavily documented research that Douglass provides.

Or just turn to the contemporary films, taken by tourists watching JFK's motorcade that are available on YouTube, which show clearly the Secret Service pulled from President Kennedy's limo just prior to his assassination, and the Zapruder film that shows the killing shot to have come from President Kennedy's right front, blowing off the back of his head, not from the rear as postulated in the Warren Commission Report, which would have pushed his head forward, not rearward.

I am not going to write about the assassination to the extent that the massive information permits. Those who want to know already know. Those who cannot face the music will never be able to confront the facts regardless of what I or anyone else writes or reveals.

The "Obamacare Shock" - One California Employer's Terrifying True Story

My company, based in California, employs 600. We used to insure about 250 of our employees. The rest opted out. The company paid 50% of their premiums for about $750,000/yr.

Under obamacare, none can opt out without penalty, and the rates are double or triple, depending upon the plan. Our 750k for 250 employees is going to $2 million per year for 600 employees.

By mandate, we have to pay 91.5% of the premium or more up from the 50% we used to pay.

Our employees share of the premium goes from $7/week for the cheapest plan to $30/week. 95% of my employees were on that plan. Remember, we used to pay 50% now we pay 91.5% and the premiums still go up that much!!

The cheapest plan now has a deductible of $6350! Before it was $150. Employees making $9 to $10/hr, have to pay $30/wk and have a $6350 deductible!!! What!!!!

They can't afford that to be sure. Obamacare will kill their propensity to seek medical care. More money for less care? How does that help them?

Here is the craziest part. Employees who qualify for mediCAL (the California version of Medicare), which is most of my employees, will automatically be enrolled in the Federal SNAP program. They cannot opt out. They cannot decline. They will be automatically enrolled in the Federal food stamp program based upon their level of Obamacare qualification. Remember, these people work full time, living in a small town in California. They are not seeking assistance. It all seems like a joke. How can this be the new system?

Pelosi, pass the bill to find out what's in it? Surprise! You've annihilated the working class.
