    I won't bother plugging in all the numbers given in solution #1. I prefer the preschool solution, and the answer is still 2.

    Each of the 4 numbers equals a value when you add them up. So you know that 7111 = 0 That means the value of 7 = 0 and the value of 1 = 0. the next number is 2172 + 0. That means that the value of 2 is also 0. And so on.......The last # is 2581. 2=0,5=0,8=2 and 5=0. You add these 4 up and you get 2.
