It would be interesting to find out who the model was. My guess is that she was the Delmarva Chicken Queen (or whatever the title was) some year between 1960 and 1963, making her about between 65 and 70 today. And it looks like she was no stranger to work, judging by her hands.
I'm guessing Robyn Dykes Smith, the former Miss Princess Anne (or, was it Somerset County?) and a one time Benjamin's weather girl.
She was also chosen the "Delmarva Poultry Princess." When she worked as a receptionist for my dentist (Pete Reddish), he would refer to her as "Miss Chicken Leg."
2:46 You almost had it correct. The last name is Zweig. Robyn was Delmarva Princess in 1966, I believe. She is not 65 or 70 as someone earlier had commented. She is still very pretty.
Yes that is Robyn Dykes Smith Zweig, originally from Princess Anne. I was 16! Just turned 60 this year and I don't look quite the same AND Oh! how we can long for our youth some days.

ReplyDeleteWow, if a restaurant served such a small plate today customers would be screaming about getting ripped off.
