ReplyDeleteGary Comegys is about to send out a mass mailing attacking Jim Ireton, manipulating his voting record to make it into something silly. Anyone can cherry pick votes to make someone sound like Hitler. Reject his nasty brand of politics. Tell your neighbors that Comegys will continue the politics of personal destruction. Write a letter to the Daily Times telling readers that Gary's personal attacks at the Camden meeting were unwarranted. This is it, folks. We can stop the nastiness in its tracks, but we have to come together and work hard. Don't wait for someone else to do it for you.

ReplyDeleteJust like this edit, which showed snippets of frames of Comegys talking to suggest he's a babbling idiot, a letter which attacks a way a particular person voted on a bill, absent the entire language of that bill, doesn't paint the real picture. The sad part is that both this edited video and such a letter have an impact on voters.
