Yes, it's that simple. Just go to a City Auction and purchase a vehicle with everything on it. Lights, sirens, stickers, you name it. It even has all the attachments for the scanner inside.
What do you think Folks? Would you like to see Joe Albero as your next Fire Chief? LMAO!
Go ahead and buy it, Joe. All you would need to do is remove "FIRE" and replace it with "NEWS". That would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh I like 9:42's solution. Go for it Joe.
ReplyDeleteA. Goetz
Why is the vehicle located at a private residence and not the city lot?
ReplyDeleteriverrat
Did Gordy or See drive it? If they did, I'd be afwaid, be vewy afwaid!
ReplyDeleteCall me chintzy but I think $1900 is WAY too much to pay for a car that needs an expensive automatic transmission repair that could double the cost of it!It would be ideal for a do it yourselfer.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it being sold outright and not at auction like other city property?
ReplyDeleteJoe,
ReplyDeleteYou simply HAVE to buy this! I like the idea of SALISBURY NEWS!!
Go for it... it will be well worth the cash for it!!!
I saw this last night and my immediate thought was why in the world would the city sell something like this at auction w/out removing the lettering? Seems like a perfect outlet for some deranged person to imitate a fire official!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some kind of shady deal!!!
ReplyDeleteCould have been Rev. Harvey Dixon's ride when he was Chaplain. Does anyone know?

No, the Chaplain had a much nice car than that. It was a Crown Vic that the Volunteers at Station 1 and Station 2 bought for him to use as the Fire Department Chaplain. Guess what happened to it? David See and Bill Gordy got rid of him and stole the car from the volunteers. Guess who drives it now?
Bill Gordy!
Thief!!!
This car was sold at auction (no the stickers were not removed) but now is being sold by a private owner.
ReplyDeleteIf that car was sold at auction, unless it was sold to another fire department, all emergency equipment should have been removed. Those lights and anything else could have been used in a replacement vehicle.
ReplyDeleteOpps, we're talking about SFD here, they have to have all new. Big boys and their toys...right Bill Gordy?
Thats the car that pulls towards the popeyes parking lot when you drive by in it.
