This picture was sent to me by a friend and I happen to think it is the best picture of the entire Parade. If YOU think you have one better, send it and I'll post it. Several people asked where Debbie & Terry were in the Parade. well, here they are. Thanks Tim!
I, like others, nearly missed seeing the Dynamic Duo on the antique fire engine--next year, PLEASE have a sign on the vehicle with their names on it.
ReplyDeleteMAYOR EAT UR HEART OUT!
ReplyDeleteThere were signs with their names on them on the firetruck. You can see them in the photo. They're the rectangular-shaped things on the side rear (can't make out the writing too well in the picture due to glare, though).
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome! My hat is off to those two who know how to celebrate a joyous event. They had young, old, in between, and everyone was having a blast. They were waving so enthusiastically, too!
ReplyDeleteKudos to the Jaycees. The parades are always nice, but I think the entry turnout was impressive.
As for the mayor, what a sorry example she set. To the Jaycees members who put up with that, YOU are a class act!
Glad (but not surprised) "Chiefy" was elsewhere, or Barrie would have made him shut the parade down until they did what she wanted.
ReplyDeleteNice photo of some unsafe pratices that we are trying to get our fire fighters to not do yet we are letting civilian do. Ride the back step, at least have a harness on. Whos liable if those adults or that child falls off and breaks their neck?
ReplyDeleteHey Jealous Idiot,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, they never exceeded 2 miles per hour. I spelled that out because I felt you were too stupid to know what MPH meant.
Secondly, would you mind using your real name next time Barrie?
Hey, anonymous 9:07, stuff it. A turtle could outrun the parade. They weren't racing to a fire, dolt. The engine isn't owned by the city anymore either.
ReplyDeleteI suspect all kids aboard were given permission by their parents, and there were adults along to watch over them. If anything had happened, I'd bet my house nobody would be suing anybody.
What a grinch-like comment. Kudos to that whole truck full for a delightful display and a bit of history.
Anonymous 9:07 can't be from the witch or all the "we" references would have been "I"...lol
ReplyDeleteWhen is her last day anyhow?
