Fertilizer For Our Bay

Perhaps you could visit this website for more daily fishing photos? I personally think people would rather see these photos than those monkey pictures? Enjoy Guys!

Is The Chief's Blood Pressure Up Just A Tad?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it wasn't hot or cold in the room last night when I walked in and the Chief saw me. So, my guess is that the Chief's blood pressure went through the roof all of a sudden. I wonder what happened? You can clearly see the red on his neck, almost as if the man was going to explode. I have to give it to him though, he kept his composure and moved right along with his CIP information. Won't You Guide My Sleigh Tonight?

No Idiot, It's Not Rudolph & Santa Following You, It's The State Police!

The State Police were out yesterday nailing trucks for hauling too much weight on local roads. Gotta find some way to raise those funds to pay for those 4 wheel drive vehicles, right Chief? I wonder what the City Police are being asked to do to raise more money? Oh, that's right, this is Salisbury, they leave it all up to the taxpayers by raising taxes instead. I can smell the tires burning from all of you moving to Delmar! LOL ;-)

Mike Dunn Violates His Own New Rules For The 3rd Time in Three Meetings

The gentleman sitting in front of the City Council last Monday night was none other than Mike Dunn's Father's partner. The impact of having Mike Dunn's father in front out the City Council would have been far too much so they chose the partner to come forward.

Uh Oh, how could he have come forward as yet "another" expert witness for Mike Dunn once again? I seem to recall a resolution Mike and the Dream Team passed against Debbie Campbell for doing this exact same thing without their permission and for the third time in three meetings Mike has clearly broken his own rules.

Oh, what you also didn't announce about this entire deal is, it was against the contractual agreement between all parties to even list the property for sale! It was to be developed only Mike, not put up for sale for the past 2 years! Oh, how conveniently we forget!

Gary Comegys Said, "The Salisbury Zoo Is The #1 Attraction To Salisbury."

Look Gary, you're playing the same political game as Mike Dunn tried on the County Council yesterday. First of all, the Salisbury Zoo is NOWHERE NEAR the #1 attraction to the City of Salisbury. This may have been true back in the 1970's but today I'd bet a million dollars to your dollar that the Salisbury Mall and even Sam's Club attract more people to Salisbury than the Salisbury Zoo!

You're trying to convince people that they're putting good money after good money when in fact you know darned well you're throwing good money after bad money! IF any of you were successful businessmen you'd realize the ECONOMY SUCKS and it's only going to get worse. Spending and planning on a $36,000,000.00 makeover of the Salisbury Zoo is a complete joke and it should be stopped.

IF the Zoo were willing to raise small funds at the door from everyone outside the City it would be one thing. Pride is the only thing holding them back from doing so. Salisbury wants to be known for being one of the only Zoo's left in the entire United States that is free because the City of Salisbury is so rich? You people are mentally challenged, that's all I can say. I'm not saying make the Salisbury Zoo into a profit center. I'm saying, help support yourself, Idiots!

Nevertheless Gary, I might even consider making that same bet that Gander Mountain gets more people through their doors than the Salisbury Zoo as well. You need to be far more careful with your words. Another major attraction would be the new Theater at the Mall. The Shorebirds probably get more people through their gates in one year than the Zoo and they're only open a few months out of the entire year. Yeah, this is the guy who wants to be your next Mayor.

The Taxpayers Will Be Footing Most Of The Bill For The Zoo's $36,000,000.00 Master Plan

As I was comfortably sitting in the City Council Work Session last evening referencing the CIP Reports, Chief Webster was the first to ask for all sorts of new things, including 4 new 4 wheel drive vehicles. He said, not that is snows here often, when it does, these vehicles come in real handy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Here's a thought for you Chief. RENT THEM WHEN YOU NEED THEM!

Then came the Fire Department introducing millions and millions of dollars in renovations, equipment, new fire trucks and ambulances.

While the Chief was smack dab in the middle of his speech, in walks Jim Rapp! I thought to myself, self, I was here first! I truly had no idea he was scheduled to be there because they called him up during the Public Works portion of this meeting.

Jim was asked to come forward to discuss quite a large figured item and it turned out it was the new building the AZA is demanding. I learned a few things from this surprise. Jim stated that the AZA is demanding it be constructed by summer of 2008. He mentioned that as long as it was well under way they would be fine with it but he had to be under construction by that time.

Then he went on to explain where the money was going to come from. He said they had found a Zoo in New Jersey they wanted to copy their building and that they were going to ask the City for $500,000.00 for a building my wife Jennifer had been asking for over the past 15 years. It seems that now that she raised enough stink about it and it was brought to the AZA's attention they agreed and demanded it be built.

Nonetheless, they want $500,000.00 from the taxpayers when Alessi stated very clearly not a dime would come from the taxpayers. Then they are "hoping" to raise another $500,000.00 from the Feds through Grants. The rest they figured would be raised through a company they're interested in hiring that raises funds by calling people and harassing them for money over the phone.

So what I'd like to get across to ALL of you is this. IF they do not raise the proper funds and this thing gets under way before the AZA deadline, know the City will then FORCE the taxpayers to pay off the rest. This will be just the beginning of what will be a long range of tactics just like this for the rest of their Master Plan. Do also note that this building is not and was not a part of that Master Plan. They actually intended to build out the new Zoo without this building in mind. The AZA should have sanctioned them right then and there for that alone.

Anyhow, the City fronted some $65,000.00 already for drawings for the building they can actually get the full plans from within that Zoo in New Jersey. Alessi is too stupid to do that though and he'd rather spend that money to support his friends then do what is right and give that money back to the City.

I decided I had heard enough and I didn't want to watch Jim Rapp start shaking in his boots because I was in the room first, so I decided to leave. Thanks for the update Jim.

Today's Wildlife Photo

One of our loyal viewers visited the Salisbury Zoo yesterday and had a little fun with one of the photos he had taken there. It sure makes it a little more interesting.

Pittsville Continues To Grow

Pete Richardson's Strawberry Village is getting ready to expand once again and I believe the Town City Water & Sewer is also getting expanded for some new major projects just around the corner on Rt. 50.

Dot Truitt & Debbie Campbell Listen While Mike Dunn Lies To The County Council

As Citizens, these two have also put their necks on the line publicly and spoke out against the old Mall TIF. However, it must be really tough to be a City Council Member and have to sit there listening to your Council President flat out lie to the other Council? Folks, that's something Mrs. Debbie Campbell would never do. We're lucky to have her.

Here's A Few Of The People Who Got Up And Spoke Against The TIF.

It seems the TIF was the big news for the Eastern Shore this last night and this morning. As hard as Mike Dunn tried convincing the County Council they didn't know what they were dealing with or doing, his lie to the Council swayed them away from a vote in his direction and the deal was sealed with the County.

So today is a whole new day and the old Mall Owners are now stuck with dealing with a demolition order by the City and the Mall must come down. Out of spite I can assure you more than anything, the Dunn, Comegys, Cathcart and Tilghman Team, (aka The Dirty Dozen In Drag) will not force the Mall Owners into tearing it down and instead will prove to everyone they are in power and they will do anything they like.

Nevertheless, we have a few people to thank who weren't afraid of any repercussions from Mike Dunn and the Mayor who regularly go on the attack, call people names and threaten them with lawsuits and false charges against people.
