Git-R-Dun

Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?"

"Yes. What can I do for you?"

"I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith.... He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs, but he's hidin' it there."

"Thank you very much for the call, sir."

The next day, the Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.

Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house.

"Hey, Virgil! This here's Floyd.... did the Sheriff come?"

"Yeah!"

"Did they chop your firewood?"

"Yep!"

"Happy Birthday, buddy!"

East Salisbury Park & Ride

Although last night was slow in this Parking Lot, I've had to travel into that end of Salisbury in the evening fairly often lately and there have been 8 to 10 cars parked there at night.

They seem to have people sitting in these cars and I don't care what anyone thinks, no one belongs in that parking lot after 7:00 p.m. period.

I've passed by there at 9:00 p.m. and seen quite a few vehicles and not one Police Officer. One can only guess as to what is actually going on in that parking lot but it ain't good!

If the Salisbury Police Department actually wanted to make changes for the better in Salisbury you'd see an Officer parking there and writing up their daily reports from that location. That will cut out the criminal activities that have been known to go on there.

Oh, then again, wasn't it a Police Officer/Spouce that was nailed there one time for having sex with a partner? I thought I heard his spouse was the radio dispatcher too and that's how she found out her husband was cheating on her? The Officer actually called it in not realizing the suspect was the Dispatchers husband.

The Old Salisbury Mall Meeting Last Night

Although the crowd was slim last night, many good questions were asked and answered as well as many good suggestions were made to the developers.

Unlike ANY City Council Meeting, you could ask a question and it would have an immediate answer. If only the City cared about its taxpayers like the Mall Owners care about what you think, Salisbury might just become a better place to live?

And then I woke up!
